Casey may represent herself at trial.

According to WFTV's 11 PM newscast -

EXPENSIVE defense - minimum 25k - 50K just for experts on the evidence.

If Casey DID try to do her own defense at the taxpayers expense, apparently Baez would have to disclose who's been paying him so far. Interesting.

And Baez has not visited her yet since the brief hearing this morning.

Actually ... Baez may have to disclose payment arrangements anyway. For one ... that is entirely discoverable information ~ not protected by attorney client privilege and it is also relevant, especially in a capital case since he is a private attorney (not court appointed). If Casey were convicted ... she could later claim that her defense was inadequately funded. The prosecution needs to make sure ahead of time that JB has the funds to proceed with at least an adequate defense ... this goes beyond the arrangement that he has made with Casey. He could be representing her pro bono ... but he has to be able to show that his firm has the resources to provide for investigators, experts ... etc. They will totally delve into his finances ... could be very interesting!
