Casey thanked Cindy for calling 911 after first call

Hmmm..IIRC - In LEE's interview he did say KC did say she was thankful that the police were called because "maybe this should have happened a long time ago".. or something like that and I was like WHOAH - here we have a girl that was pushing her parents to the limit and finally wanted to get caught.

Can any other sleauthers remember this?

She kept telling LEE that she deserves the police getting called? That she was a terrible mother? Right before she confessed "the nanny took her" .

I always felt that she ALMOST told LEE the truth right before CA came back into her room to yell that she wanted Caylee HOME.

AM i losing my mind?

IMO, that is some more crap for us to gag at!
No one wants their mother to call the cops on them.........really!

ROFLMAO - I can see it now. CA on the phone calling the police on her daughter. When mom hangs up, KC says "thanks mom". But I don't think she said it the nice respectful way CA portrayed on the news this morn. More like the KC type of attitude "well, thanks a f-n lot mom - what the F did you do that for -- I told you I would bring you to Caylee tomorrow".

Sorry for the F bombs, but that's KC speak to me, and means no disrespect - just her type of reality.

So that's how I interpret her "thank you".

Best,

I'm sure on some level KC was glad the story was finally being told. She had dreamed up her "I'm the victim, kidnapping....." story, and she probably wanted to tell it and be famous. She just couldn't figure out how to call and tell the police her daughter was missing for a month without it sounding suspicious. So, she was glad Mommy did it for her. I really think, even during the questioning at Universal, she believed she was going to be able to lie her way out and end up being escorted out like a princess. She never thought that smile would fail to win her sympathy. On that reasoning, I sorta believe she did make a statement that she was glad CA had made the call.

I agree that she said something similar at some point. But what's important here is that Cindy is saying it happened in the car, after the first call. Supposedly, this was before Casey was admitting that anything happened to Caylee, so she would have nothing to thank her mother for.

"Thanks for reporting my own car stolen mom, I couldn't do it myself"

Doesn't make sense!

ITA!
I will never, ever, EVER forget the wide-eyed sassy smile on KC's face when she was being escorted to jail, hand-cuffed and wearing the blue hoodie she bought at Target with Amy's check.
She did not look like someone scared of being arrested. She looked like she had just won an Oscar!!
She was excited to start on her new project of lies and had no doubt LE would believe her and she'd get away with murder - just like in the movies . . .
now where's that pic - grumbling . . .:waitasec:

This family needs to buy a bigger shovel.

ETA:
the more Cindy talks, the more I am convinced she knew Caylee was dead before she was found in December. Keep talking Cindy.

http://www.cfnews13.com/News/Sidebar/2008/7/25/transcript_of_third_911_call_from_cindy_anthony.html

Here is part of the transcript from the original 911 call ... when she actually talks to Orlando Police and at the end they put her on hold to transfer her to OCSO ...

OPD: Well, what I'm going to do, is I'm going to transfer you to the Sheriff's Comunications section, and you can, um, determine that. Hold on.
Cindy: OK.
The officer transfers the call.
Cindy:(speaking to Casey Anthony) Because my next thing will be down to child (inaudible) and we'll have a court order to get her. If that's what you want to play, then we'll do it, and you'll never
Casey Anthony: Well, that's not the way I want to (inaudible)
Cindy: Well, then you have --
Casey: Give me one more day.
Cindy: No, I'm not giving you another day. I've given you a month.

After this, she called 911 twice more ... if KC was so "thankful" to Cindy after this call (which it doesn't sound like she was at all thankful and this was near the end of the call) ... why didn't she take her "happy A$$" down to the station herself!

Does Casey know she thanked her mom after that 911 call ? Jose better brief his client on all this new information before trial. So now Casey stopped Cindy from killing herself and thanked her after she called 911...what's next ? Why is BC letting them do this, he is an atttorney and knows they will be torn to shreads at trial with this stuff...

I can see the State's notebook right now.......adding lists of questions to ask them, including the new information as it comes out or the rewritten version of events as they're rewritten. Cindy and George will be on the stand for months :(

I expect that Cindy is writing a letter to Time Magazine to nominate KC for "Person of the Year!" ... She's already named her "Mother of the Year" ... I swear, perversion of reality must be a genetic trait in this family!

I think that BC has lost all control ... he reigned them in for a while ... but I can see that Cindy is once again the whip yielding Ringmaster of the Anthony Family Circus!

That was the first time I had heard of Casey Anthony. I thought to myself "What is SHE prancing for"? When they said she was arrested for murdering her daughter, I thought to myself that she had that "Mission Accomplished" look on her face. That was my first gut reaction to her. She was satisfied with herself and didn't take anyone else seriously. Wonder if she takes things a bit more seriously now? If I had never heard anything else about her, the most telling thing to me was a comment during her parents' jail visit. Her mom was crying and could hardly talk. She said to her dad "What's SHE crying about already?" To me, that summed up what kind of person she is. COLD.

I found this youtube link a few days ago and thought this may be the appropriate thread to put this on.

KC does say something in the background but she says it so fast it is hard to really understand. I know she said something on those tapes.

I hope that LE isolated her voice to see what she really said.

Any thoughts out there?

That first part is "I'll never..." the rest is pretty garbled... :(

Believe it or not, I think Cindy is being truthful on this one. I'm guessing it went a bit like this...

Cindy: I just called the police. What do you have to say about that?
KC: Thanks a 🤬🤬🤬*ing lot mom.

:rolling::rolling::rolling::rolling:

this post is one of my Top Ten Favs...thanks nephers

It's probably safer than telling an angry Cindy not to do something, lol!
And she's always angry, I wouldn't want to cross her! :fight:

"When I saw Casey (in July), I could tell something was wrong," said Cindy Anthony. "I don't know how I would react any differently. After I made the first 911 call, Casey thanked me in the car because she said I did something that she couldn't do, which was go to the police."

From http://www.clickorlando.com/news/19259035/detail.html

Whoa! This is big!! Up until now, the story all along has been that Casey did not admit to anything being wrong until they were back at the house and she was talking to Lee.

If the above statement is true, why would Casey be telling Cindy at that point that she needed to go to the police (but couldn't)?

What do you all think?

Okay, we all know this is bull-shiite from one of the first taped phone calls between Casey and Cindy when Casey stated that Cindy had her arrested on a "whim" and now she is sitting in jail with the "punks'.
No, Casey was furious with her Mother for calling the cops before she could cover her tracks and possibly flee to another life, possibly in another state,
When they had that fight on the night of June 15 that Cindy denies ever happened, I think Casey left in a rage, killed her daughter and was going to pull a Mark Hacking and move to another state where she could hide the fact that she killed killed her daughter that had become an obsticle to her in the life she wanted to live and easily avoid any discovery that Caylee was no longer on this earth. I really think it was something she was trying to get the funds together to do when she contacted her boytoy in CA that is in the service.

I haven't read the entire thread yet & I'm sure you guys have already discussed this but If Casey thanked Cindy after the first 911 call what did she mean when she said....

CASEY - "Just give me 1 more day"

CINDY - "I've given you a month already"

I always thought Casey was asking for 1 more day before Cindy called the police

So why would she thank her ?

I think it's a crock of S**T. Mostly because if in fact Casey was afraid to call the cops and feared for everyone's lives she would have made it a point to make sure her mom did not call at any cost.

Right, and this is a story that Cindy that is STILL telling, that Casey was afraid for their lives and in a few of her interviews early on Cindy said that Casey was not talking because she was "protecting them."
So at that point, the world knew the cops were called, and if Casey was so thankfull that LE were involved, at that point, why did she not start helping them? Because Caylee was dead, she killed her.
If everyone else could have that simple logic, why couldn't the A's come to the same conclusion?
They did, IMO, but are in fact not in denial, just doing what they do...deny the obvious till the bitter end. Just like when Casey was preggers, till the baby popped out.
