Casey's car: Did she intend to retrieve it from Amscot or what?

With all her lies that went on for years I do not believe she put any new effort into hiding what she had done at all.

Her car ran out of gas and she left it.
Her mom picked her up from Toni's and she used the same stupid lie she had been using the nanny has Caylee.

After her mom called her out she was forced to start covering for herself but she did not go out of her way to do it before ,including breaking the lock on the shed.

Why was she always running out of gas? Was someone using her car? Her car should have been good on gas and who wants to run out of gas with a child?

Most importantly how did the pooh bear blanket get from the car where the amscott lady saw it ,to the location of Caylee's remains?

BBM

How did I miss this? How could this happen? Did the Amscot lady see it right after Casey abandoned the car? Was the blanket buried with Caylee, or just tossed (yeah, like trash) in the area where she was buried, possibly at a later time?

Or, how many pooh blankets did Caylee have? I need to find the Amscott emloyee's deposition, and read it. Must have skipped that one.

Not much longer now . . .

The pings show Casey drove all over the place it is no wonder she was always out of gas.

The woman from Amscot did not specify that the blanket had a Winnie the Pooh theme on it. There was a red plaid blanket that was always kept in the car that is missing according to Cindy's depo. There were many items with red fibers found that had been stored in the trunk.

A thing? I think the thing is she was lying about having a job and had no money for gas, and was stealing the gas, I have not seen one thing that indicates she has a thing for fire or anything like that.

She left her purse in the car, she was going to say she was carjacked and the child was stolen, but Cindy getting ahold of Aimee thwarted all that.jmo

HEY CHABLIS, We actually agree on something. lol ;)

Absolutely, Casey went back to put gas in it,but it was gone. She was not broke down, it was out of gas, plain and simple. She parked it beside the dumpster so the odor in the car would be masked by the dumpster. She probably thought with a little time and a few more cleaning items she would be back on track in no time. Once she had the car cleaned (not) she would then go forward with the kidnapping story. She had a lifestyle and friends that she was having fun with and caylee was in the way.

I'm confused, then......do you think GA would let Casey sit in jail for three years knowing all too well that his statements to LE would come in (meaning the decomp statements and the statement about him praying to God that this was not his Casey or Caylee when he smelled the decomp), not to mention the fact that him being in LE, knows that if it were an accident, he would know Casey would stand a far better chance of getting off than she is now going through all of this? Just needing to understand your point of view. And how do you think Caylee died and who was with her at the time?
TIA!

YES, I do mean exactly that.
He knew he would be questioned and he knew they would not be able to prove anything,
because he made sure there would be no proof available just words.

:(:(:(

Do you mean the jury will not convict her? Due to her father? Explain, please? :waitasec:
I believe that he set it up for her to get a mistrial.
I believe he tempered with evidence.
I believe he did a great job, and will say prove it.
:(:(:(

i am wondering the very same thing. I do think there is something very suspicious about a man who works in le for years, who smells decomposition in a car his daughter has ditched, and has a grand daughter missing, after a family fight in which casey fled with her daughter - and then, who does nothing.

You bet!
If I did not have sick family and if I had the time, I would look for a video where GA says something about
Not having evidence that ties KC to anything - I am not quoting it exactly but it IS THE ESSENSE of what he said.
My eye brows went straight up because it was too early for him to know what evidence will come of it at the end of the search.

I think you have to remember that, although GA hadn't seen or spoken to Caylee in a month, CA had been in constant communication with KC. It's highly possible that GA was so relieved to see there was no dead body in the trunk, he dismissed the smell as his mind playing tricks on him in his fear of the unknown. It wasn't until later, when he learned that Caylee was "missing" that he realized he could have been right. Also, GA seemed to not know anything about the alleged fight on the 15th. That didn't come out until later as well, IIRC.

The smell of death can knock you off your feet. He did not miss that it is impossible to miss that.
In addition, if you have been LE your instincts kick in too.
HARD TO BELIEVE but GA is not what we see on stage so to speak.

Thank you. I will let that last sentence go. GA did tell police that "it is a smell you never forget" and I think it is strange in the extreme that he would not call on it. Likely some on the jury may, as well.
CORRECT!
and i think it is that smell that got him to clean up very fast.

No, because at that time GA didn't know Caylee was missing. GA said to the tow yard guy that he was scared it was Casey or Caylee in the trunk and was relieved the trunk was empty. George thought Caylee was with ICA at this time. I thought you knew the whole story?

GGOD ACTOR. IMO
Glad it was empty but t smelled like death :waitasec:
Also IMHO he knew by that point that something has happend.

But at the same time, stood by during the last three years and allowed his daughter to stand trial for first degree murder with a possible death penalty???

Sounds like a pretty costly gamble if you ask me....

He had no choice to let her sit in jail. He did not kill Caylee, he just cleaned up to protect KC. What do you think he could have done about her sitting in jail ?

A good point is made about what the jury thinks. This is an incredibly complex case and we have the advantage of reading LE interviews, depositions, emails, etc.

1st off, remember CA is a nurse & testified to viewing corpses in nursing school. If that is a "smell you never forget", it should apply to her as well.

After retrieving the car, CA sent GA to work (IIRC, he'd been working at a new job for only a week or so) and that CA "would take care of it". This seems to be a common theme - CA wore the pants, and GA was 'whipped. Since they offered work time cards as evidence today (yesterday?) I'd guess that was covered.

In any event, CA admitted she Febreezed/Cloroxed the car. I believe it was deliberate. Hear me out. She had to have been in contact (probably text) with KC between hearing of the towed car and picking it up. Why? If she hadn't, I can't believe she would destroy evidence if KC & Caylee were BOTH missing and she was in possession of a car that "smelled like something died". IMHO, CA automatically went into protect KC mode.

OTOH, if CA DID merely think it smelled like "rotten pizza"...don't know about you, but MY mother (RIP) would have torn me a new one for getting my car towed & waited for ME clean up the car.

I do think that CA knew the smell. She even said the car smells like death.

I think she only cleaned the trunk of the car, washed KCs pants and a knife (I guess that is all she said was back there) BUT CA is not LE, it takes a LE mind to know how to clean up the scene as well as GA cleaned it.
They wanted to save KC... They knew...

MY STRONG OPINION FROM THE START.

I completely agree.....he knew what he smelled was the smell of death, but who's, was the question he didn't have an answer for. His greatest fear, at that point, was that someone had killed either Caylee or KC, but when he didn't find either of their bodies in the trunk and when CA was obviously not as concerned as he was, he dismissed the possibility that it could have been either of them. I don't think he missed it at all. His instincts did indeed tell him there had been a dead body in that car. I think he didn't report it because he was afraid KC might have actually killed someone, and I think he was covering for her in case she had, but I don't think his mind would allow him to believe for one minute that it was Caylee.

If GA was so good at cleaning up the scene, why didn't he clean up the trunk before it started to smell??

Decomp smell was there when he got the car and it is still there.
Decomp does not clean out. :( It lingers for ever, IF he had done any reconstruction he would have been transparent.

OK, let me rephrase that.

If GA was so skilled in cleaning the scene of the accident/drowning, why would he not take equal care in transporting the remains to the Sunfire trunk in a manner that would have eliminated any chance of decomp fluid seepage?

By the time GA got the car the decomp was in the car, and reeking. The people who towed it into that Lot smelled it and should have called that car into LE.
There is no skill to make that go away, unless you reconstruct, tear stuff out and replace it.

The Amscott manager Catherine Sanchez stated that she saw a blanket, but couldn't give any more of a description. It may have been removed after G&C got the car home.

http://www.wftv.com/video/28049828/index.html starting at appro. 8:10 she tells that she looked inside the car.

oh, i am sorry, i dont think she got any boyfriend to help. God bless her boyfriends at the time. I am very sorry for that

god bless anyone on planet earth that comes in contact with Casey Anthony.
