CASEY'S letter to Sheriff Beary dated 8/14/08

Although in CA's text messages LA (or A Lee) tells his mom that JB had 'notes' for each of them from KC that would be given after the vigil. Not sure what she wrote them on. :waitasec:

right, notes that they shouldn't talk about....hmmmm...more secrecy

IMO this letter has absoloutley no significance. Its Casey trying to control and manipulate the sytem and just seeing if she was important enough for them to throw the usual rules out and give what she asks for. Shes used to not having to go by the usual rules.
it made me chuckle out loud....

Did this girl ever take an English class??? She can't compose a correct sentence to save her life (pun intended).

This letter confuses me. Is it a request for her to meet with the sheriff and her father together, or is it a request for her to meet with her father sort of off the record. If it is the latter I wonder what that is about. It has to be more than just visitation because she could make a collect call to ask her dad to come or have JB tell GA to come. I think this was probably something JB was unaware of so what could it be about?? Interesting. I have thought all along that GA didn't have anything to do with Caylee's disappearance but once he got the car back he instinctively knew something was very wrong and went into cover up mode. I wonder why she wanted to meet with him under some sort of special circumstances???
When was the immunity deal requested? Does this coincide with that deal? I think it expired 9/1 or 9/2 but when was the deal requested. I'll have to check this. Maybe it had something to do with that.

She writes a letter to the Sheriff, no less, asking for help.

This seems to be the only time that Casey reaches out for anything or anyone and it just feels like this is important for some unknown reason. It's just a gut thing with me. After listening to GA's interview, at first I thought it was on the up and up, but listening to it again, I believe some things are not forthcoming and true to his best recollection. His past experience in LE makes me believe he was well prepared for the task in that interview. But this request from KC to the Sheriff has me scratching my head and I wonder does anyone feel the same. If KC and GA had the problems that have been reported in the interviews, why ask for him in particular? Some "THING", information, past/present that only the two of them could discuss because there is no doubt, secrets were being kept between LA & KC, CA & KC and now GA & KC....which also makes that statement by LP about "C, L and K all know the truth" stand out like a big clue...with no mention of G in the statement.

Thank you for merging. If it had been a snake, I would have been fanged!
I looked but couldn't find.

This just adds to my belief that GA is up to his neck in the disposal of Caylee and the cover-up to save Casey.

Back about a week or so ago, there was a conversation about how Casey seemed very intelligent. I disagreed then, and I strongly disagree again now. I think that she tries to make herself sound intelligent, but I think that in the real reality, opposed to Casey's "reality", she is just your run of the mill, average, uneducated, 22-year-old barfly.

Respectfully, TripleA, I disagree. I think Casey is intelligent. She is involved in this and she has not cracked so far. She has covered her tracks well and her lies have fooled people... whether people know she's lying or not, it's still covering her tracks.

I don't necessarily think she has an academic intelligence, but IMO there is intelligence there.

A bit of street smarts maybe, but she is only fooling those wearing blindfolds, earplugs and noseplugs. How hard can that be to accomplish?

I have an IQ of 142 (State tested, not online tested) but I do not come off as an intelligent person on paper because I have ADHD and I do not come off well written. My thoughts come and go fast, and I am not very clear sometimes.
A poorly written note is not proof of someone's intelligence.
I think Casey is a lot more intelligent than people are giving her credit for, and I think thats part of why there isn't more evidence. People are saying "Nah, shes not smart enough to pull that off!" and then its discredited.

I think she was asking for a meeting as opposed to a video visitation, thus the letter and special request.
That's just the way it seems to me. It strikes me odd that she writes George's name in capitals and the funky little exclamation point.
And I agree with whoever said it first, she should have bothered to take the time to learn how his name is spelled.

ETA: fully agree that letters are not a good judge of intelligence. My dad qualified for Mensa, but couldn't even write a grocery list the right way.

Do we know, based on what has been released if Sheriff Beary responded with an okay and if so, did George go?

and to that I would have said, 'Sure! Just as soon as you tell us where your daughter is!'

LOL! Don't you wish it was that easy... I mean it is that easy but apparently not for KC!:banghead:

I think that she wanted LE ( Beary) to know that her dad was former LE. You know the old saying that LE stick together and it was her hope GA could smooth things over for her. Like GA as a former homocide detective would say my daughter is not this type of person and it was no Caylee in the trunk of my car! Why would she write this letter except for expecting special treatment. Don't you know who I am attitude that all of the washed up actors have.

I would love to know what she scratched out before the '..my father (George Anthony)'. I find her wording bizzare, bordering on groveling. Over kill, IMO.

I printed the page and used a magnifying glass and it looks like she crossed out the name Caylee.

GOD BLESS CAYLEE

You could be right, but I just think it was something else. Something she wanted to say to GA that she felt was vital between the two of them and she didn't want anyone else knowing her request or maybe knowing of the meeting (other than those she knew would see GA); I almost think she was NOT wanting CA to know or anyone else. Perhaps she thought she could communicate something to GA if she could get him alone or private for even a split second....like a "certain look" with eye to eye or speaking only a sentence which would tell a story only she and he know. I don't believe it was to apologize for anything she had ever done, that is for sure. Not a "Daddy, I am so sorry...please Daddy...". I think something very personal between G & K and NOBODY else. Not father and daughter but rather an alliance by/of necessitation.

I'm looking at it right now and it really is making my thoughts go :nerves:
She & LE:highfive:
She acts like a:princes:
She thinks she can to everybody:poke:

I'm thinking the note is at face value. Nothing to be read into it, she is in jail and wants to talk to her father who is former LE maybe for advice on what she is supposed to do? Even with an attorney you may want some family advice, no matter how disassociated they were from each other. She is an adult but a young adult and her parents do not have to be present for them to question her so maybe she just wanted to ask questions about the process. From the records it shows that she has never been in any real trouble with the law. First timer.

Just my first impression of the note,

Speculation searching for the truth behind the lies...
