Casey's Pants & the Knife and The Cleaning of the Pontiac

With hindsight and knowing how all of the A's have lied....and knowing from the depos just released the time that actually elapsed from KC arriving home with CA and the police getting there....it seems more and more likely that when KC broke down with LA and cried, and CA screamed "What have you done?" ...oh and let's don't forget that LA stated in an earlier statement that CA pounded her fist on the bed...it seems more and more likely that right then and there a story was concocted by CA and LA and KC. A fairy tale about a nanny. Possibly CA had found ALOT in that car before she picked up CA from Tony's. Perhaps she really has known all along......

Oh now these last few posts have me thinking about CA more in that light, I'm starting to see where what you say could be the case....Let's just see:

-CA figures it out, at the latest, when she smells the car for the first time
-Catches up to KC
-Concocts story because they have to call police, if they don't call, someone else will eventually notice Caylee is missing, and CA cant get a hold of GA to let him in on it, so maybe GA is not privy at first.
-Have to tell 911 about smell in the car, because police will notice that little detail when they come out

When I think about LA's story, KC on the bed blurting out the stuff about Caylee, it is a little out of place-Why would KC not have told her mom to leave her alone, that Caylee was her kid to take where she pleases? KC didn't even try to call LA's bluff when he threatened through role play, by replying to LA something like "I don't care, let them ask me, it's a waste of everyone's time?" .....like the normal push it to the edge KC would...

The phone call from jail, when KC says to CA "mom, no...." after she saw CA on TV throwing her under the bus....that could have been a little cat & mouse on CA's part, what is KC gonna do if CA has a verbal oopsy, or takes Caylee's pictures to sell and go cruisin? Confess?

I wonder if KC will take CA down with her, if any of the above comes remotely close to fruition. Definately MOO

Sorry for above, got way off the knife subject...Plus I forgot the little detail that Zanny was mentioned for sure in a text message to TonyR on May 6th, before the murder, so KC already had the nanny story....

Also don't forget about KC's remark during one of the jail visits, "don't worry, I didn't say anything".

With more and more that comes out with CA/GA/LA I am more than convinced that CA knew the moment Caylee was murdered. What I don't know is if she was in part responsible for it.

We will never know until the trial, if then, exactly what was in KC's car when they brought it home from the tow yard and what incriminating evidence was removed by CA.

I agree that the knife as well as the pants held valuable forensic evidence that CA saw and knew what it meant to her and KC. :furious:

I think the knife was used to cut the tape. The perp retrieved it from the bottom storage container because she knew it would cut tape better than a normal butter knife.

If CA hadnt have put it through the dishwasher I BET DOLLARS that it would have had Henkle residue on it. :(

From the obvious panic in CA's voice during the final 911 call, I tend to think it was dawning on her right then what might have happened. I believe she may have held out hope that the kidnapping was a cover-up and KC had stashed Caylee somewhere - based on the interrogation and hawk-eyed stare CA gave KC in the jail visit, which was probably when she gave it up and just went into full spin cycle forever.

But perhaps she admitted to KC that she had cleaned up the car for her that evening - intending to use it as a negotiation card, but KC, in her inimitable narcissistic arrogance condescendingly tells her mom not to worry that SHE didn't give anything away. It could of course be much more complicated, but maybe not. I am amazed sometimes at the superficiality and two-dimensional quality of the lives of this family.

It may still have adhesive on it, despite the dishwasher. I am sure they have tested the whole set...waiting to hear.. I HOPE they took the whole set!

No kidding, the A's would be likely to try to mix things up and sneak a new knife under their noses.....get the whole set! and the box!

I have always found it strange how CA left KC alone in her bedroom with LA, and paced around the house. Knowing CA she would not leave KC's side until she got some answers. CA stated many times how she could look into KC's eyes and know when she was lying. I personally think CA started directing the "Once Upon a Time" story of the nanny taking CMA.

Sooo the knife was not used to cut the duct tape. It was also noted that the ends of Q62- Q64 were too disintegrated to make match comparisons.

Would this take into consideration the degradation of an adhesive that had been run through a dishwasher and subjected to dishwasher soap (which is much more harsh than normal dishsoap)?

I don't know Cecy. They were aware the knife had been washed.

I hate the "suitable for limited comparisons" line. It doesn't totally rule out duct tape adhesive, it just says it is not consistent with the sample. Drat that woman for washing the knife!!

The cover-up was in full swing from the moment the A's picked up the car from the tow yard. They both knew what had gone on and IMO, the whole family conspired to cover it up from the outset. My only question is, will obstruction of justice charges be filed against the A's after the trial? I think it's a distinct possibility.

Oh, ITA. GA knew it was a rolling crime scene and he knew KC was involved or he would never have paid the money to retrieve it, but called LE right then and there.

I can see why the SA would wait on obstruction charges as, apparently in past situations, if filed too early can lead a jury to believe that accessory-after-the-fact is actually accessory-to-murder - and it can skew the results of the capital trial.

I think GA and CA have totally used up the "grieving grandparents in denial" card a long time ago. And if they had not been so combative and nasty with the press and to LE and Morgan, people might have given them a pass. But the KC Campaign for Mommy of the Year, added to the active SODDI Scapegoat list they've compiled, and the money they've tried to make off making Caylee their private cottage industry, has made that pretty impossible, imo. Maybe they think that supporting her unconditionally will help prevent themselves from being tossed onto the turnpike during penalty phase, but I doubt it.

I think they would have less chance of future indictment themselves if they got off the KC Koolaid tour and got behind Caylee for the trial. It would show LE they are not trying to pull a fast one or that they were the ones who taught their daughter to lie constantly and get them some slack cut after KC is convicted.

CA washed the knife for the same reason she washed the pants.... to cover up anything KC might have done..... and IMO she KNEW what she was doing.....

I think that CA is slightly OCD anyway and that, upon finding the car and no KC (and figuring out that she'd been lying all along about her whereabouts) that she was in a mad frenzy cleaning out the car and probably swearing the whole time. I can envision her cursing about how her "stupid daughter could let a car get into this condition." I think that, had she not found Amy's resume (and a possible way to get to KC) the car would've been spotless and sanitized long before the A's knew they had a big problem. I know a lot of people think the A's had some idea, but once they heard KC's voice on the phone, I feel like they thought the problem was just more KC drama. It wasn't until she was found with no Caylee that panic actually ensued. The car had been home for hours before KC was picked up.[/QUOTE

:clap::clap::clap:

Also, re: soil on the shoes - or lack thereof. I have been to the dumpsite. If she pulled alongside the road, stood at the edge of the grass and gave the bag the old heave ho - she wouldn't have had to step one foot in there. Caylee was really close to the road, and the area is down lower than the road.

I agree completely! The sympathy was used up about 2 months after it all began imo. If they would have comported themselves in a classy, dignified way, they may have actually been able to do some good for casey.

You're right, Cecy. GA should have called the police right then and there. By his own admission, he drove home with the windows wide open...the stench must have been awful. I wonder how he did explain this away in his own mind?

He knew what it was, he was waiting for KC to give him the explanation-It never came, and he finally blew up on her while TraceyM was staying at their house.
