While I am well aware of the whole "false self" thing I have to respectfully disagree that her icons are part of that false self. Her icons tell the truth about who she is. "She's bad, she lies better than most, she's has criminal in her blood, she's hungry for some men" These are the only truths Casey has!! These icons are where she admits who she is...Her photobucket account seems to be the only place she could admit who she is! This is her real self.

Her false self was the job, the guy Jeff that she claimed to be engaged to that gave her a tiffany ring, the "I'm buying my parents house", etc etc.

I like the feedback, OneLostGrl. I see what you mean that maybe myspace was where she was coming out with her true self. You do have a point there.

But I still see the icons as a way to bolster her identity as "a strong, ruthless girl". The icons could also be rationalization and warning to others that she was, indeed capable of being hard-core evil. Sort of a "don't blame me, I warned you I'm bad to the bone."

Casey wasn't really so strong or anywhere close to living a "" existence. She was so weak that she couldn't even get out of her parents house and grow up. Her false self was in all the lies about her job, etc., but to soothe herself when she felt a grandosity gap she had her myspace icons to shore up her lies to herself. The icons, to me, prove what she wanted to believe about herself. The icons are the lies she tells herself.

I think this is true, and partly why she spent so much time on Myspace and Facebook. She was able to create her own echo chamber there that she was totally in control of. Put up tons of pictures of partying, have oodles and oodles of all these "identity" icons trying on all these things she wishes she could be. If she relied on Myspace and Facebook so much, she was effectively able to weed out anyone whom either didn't buy the image she was trying to project, or didn't fit into it. Say something wrong to her? You're de-friended, your comments deleted, your photos erased. Pretending she was this huge party animal with this massive social circle certainly had to be far more enticing than, you know, working.

I'd say it would be fascinating to know the "real" KC, but honestly I don't think there's been one for a very, very long time. MOO, of course.

You said it, and I love it. Imaginary Casey had a great life. The parties, the clubs, sexy girl all men want, she's so special and important she has to post icons to share what she's all about. Imaginary Casey didn't sit at home babysitting some snot nose kid everyday. The Casey on myspace was something she clung to in her own mind to prove how cool she was.

Whenever I look at this pic (#49), I can't help but wonder if Caylee's bedroom window wasn't somehow involved in the removal of her body from the home (if her life ended there). The first window on the right (the smaller, higher one) is the kitchen window, the next is a full length (practically to the floor) window in Caylee's bedroom. It's very close to the shed that the gas cans were stored in.

She seems like a rebellious teen-ager, maybe around 15? At least thats how old she seems to me emotionally.

I would like to know if people have seen this photo account before and if so when? Did you see it on other sites or blogs or posted in this forum? Can anyone computer savy enough (meaning not me lol) find out when it was set up, last accessed and so forth?

Also, do we know all the people in the photos? There are about 3 people photographed that I know next to nothing about but would like to know more.

The captions---some of them are very odd, any thoughts on this?

I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed. Any hoo I downloaded the photobucket and I am truely sickened by the pictures that are on the site. The reason being is that once they are downloaded and you see a picture with KC if you right click on it and then select properties it gives you the day created for example in the active icons there is a picture with KC and a blonde girl with a red bowtie named picture2.jpg and under properties is created Thursday, June 26, 2008, 7:45:12 PM I wish i knew how to post the pic and will try but it is sickening
