A chubby cat was clearly overcome by hunger as it was spotted trying to raid a supermarket's shelves for its morning treat.

The opportunistic feline was spotted by stunned shoppers in a Tesco Express store in Rugby, where it was prowling the aisles on the lookout for a snack.

It had strolled into the store on Wednesday (September 19) at around 9am, before it was spotted the pet food aisle

Awwww...cute. He reminds me of our fat cat. He was a real charmer of a fluffy orange tiger kitty. Our vet kept telling us to put him on a diet. We did, but he found ways to get more. He would eat his breakfast at home and then prowl the neighborhood for more. His daily routine involved crossing the street to our neighbor’s, going into the garage through the cat door, up the stairs to the kitchen door and tapping on it. Our neighbor would let him in and he would lick up the soft food scraps left by her kitty. It was his second home.

Smart kitty. He knew to go to the cat food section to carry out his crimes, since obviously he would have been quickly chased away from the deli.

All righty, who can turn that cat into a meme, maybe saying

I don't see a link to the article?

I like how the kitty was doing the ‘Can someone please open this box? Can’t you see I’m starving?’ routine on the supermarket floor. Reminds me of my big cat who lies on the kitchen floor next to his bowl at dinner time. Cats are such good actors.

Reminds me of Molly, she knew where her Tender Vittles were kept in the cabinet at ground level and she knew how to open the door and help herself to a snack. Smart girl.

We've all been there when we've went shopping, kitty. The amount of times I've wished I could have a nap when I'm shopping...

I knew of a dog who once trailed down to the village hardware, to their pet supplies, and sat sentinel, staring at her beloved frisbee throws. No laws broken, just a sad heart! She soon had her supply replenished and happy again she was, once her owner was notified that her beloved pet was pining away.

my mom just had to say goodbye to her fat kitty Pippin last Tuesday so I am sharing this silly with her! She will love it! I rarely click on animals threads here because they aren't always pleasant but this is great! Thank you!!!
