If you scroll down to her last appearance, in the black dress, she doesn’t look well at all.

But maybe I just think so in hindsight?

I’m really going to miss her.
I agree. Catherine looks painfully thin in that photo.

She doesn't look well at all and that was in September. She was an amazing actress.

DH and I will be watching Best In Show in the next couple of days. One of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Love it and everyone in the stellar cast.

I remember her from SCTV.

An interesting fact is that O'Hara joined the Saturday Night Live cast but when she found out SCTV was going to be renewed she left to go back to SCTV. Robin Duke (who also appeared on SCTV) took her spot on SNL.
I remember her most for SCTV and I just loved her, as well as all the other cast members. They were all so zany and lovable and hilarious. I was so glad to see her career after SCTV continued to be very successful. So sad 😞.

OMGosh! I'm scrolling through the pics. Picture, year, picture, year, and so forth. Now I'm in the 1990's, scroll some more and see....

I was like... Wait! That's not her! Bad ad placement. Somehow I think she'd get a kick out of that. :)

Canada is in mourning. I worshipped SCTV and Schitt’s Creek. I have no idea how many times I’ve watched SC from beginning to end. I can’t imagine how Eugene, Dan, Annie, Emily et al feel. I guess we’ll never get the SC reunion we had been hoping for.

It's nice to see her get an award a few months ago.

And I think The Last of Us (the show I mentioned I recognized her in last night) is either her final show, or pretty near it.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department tells PEOPLE that they received a call at 4:48 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 30 for an “approximately 70-year-old” unnamed female at O'Hara's home address. The woman, presumed to be the Schitt’s Creek alum, was transported to the hospital “in serious condition.”

O’Hara’s manager previously confirmed to PEOPLE that O’Hara died at the age of 71 on Jan. 30. No further details were released at the time.

Best In Show is one of my most favorite movies and Catherine's character, while everybody was excellent, is my favorite in it. I still sing the terrier songs on occasion. Her comedic range was incomparable. I hope her passing with painless and peaceful. Her legacy will live forever, I'm quite certain. RIP, Catherine, I will miss you.

Unsure if her condition had anything to do with her death or not.

While the details surrounding O'Hara's death are unavailable, the Canadian native previously revealed a rare congenital condition called dextrocardia with situs inversus.

During a 2020 interview on winemaker Kathryn Hall's Virtual Happy Hour, O'Hara opened up about having situs inversus, a genetic condition in which some organs are positioned in reverse in the body.

"I’m a freak," she said while laughing. "I don't even know the name because I don't want to know the name."

Well, this just affirms what a rare person Catherine was.

I'm so sad to learn that Catherine O'Hara has passed away. I had to come here and share my grief with you all 🥺

When I was a kid I used to stay up late and watch SCTV. Andrea, Martin Short, John Candy, Catherine were all so absolutely hilarious! I think they helped shape my sense of humor.

Thank you for making Beetlejuice (twice!!!) and Home Alone. You were a part of my childhood and have always been there in a way, giving comfort and laughter to so many people.

Rest in peace 🤍

Situs inversus / dextrocardia is not dangerous in and of itself. It just makes it difficult for practitioners to read X-rays and EKGs, or, of course, to perform surgery. I doubt it contributed in any way to her death.
What a treasure she was! I have read hundreds of comments and anecdotes on multiple websites about her, and not a single negative comment.
