Hate to say this but cleaning fluid can sometimes be used to start a fire. Depends on which kind it was.

OK, new theory.... Is it possible that this whole thing is some huge stupid hoax? Seriously, this is so bizarre. The father was in LE but he is talking to the press talking about pizza experiments and pictures are Casey partying while pregnant. I mean really you guys, all the messed up dates of the last time she was seen.

I just don't know anymore. None of this makes sense to me.

If so they are in for alot of trouble. I thought about that but, boy o boy what kind of person makes this up? That is almost worse then what is happening.

Since Casey doesn't deny leaving with Casey, and Cindy's post on 7/3 on myspace and lastly coupled with the 911 calls, I surmise Casey was the last Anthony to see Caylee dead or alive on June 16th.

Since when did we hear Casey discuss her leaving with Caylee at all? She has made no reference to it at all.

I really hope for the sake of the WS community that closure is coming soon, after all, I am sure I am not the only one with black rings under my eyes..
I still believe with everything in me that Casey is telling one thing truthfully.."Dad she is close"
It may not be the way we want it to turn out, but its time for them to search around that home, this baby is close by somewhere.

Bingo! I also thought maybe to cover the possible smell of the gasoline cans left in the car, too. It sounds like George still contends they were "returned" but no mention by whom.

He said he had no problem with law enforcement taking a pair of gas cans as evidence from his home on Friday.

"My gas cans were stolen," he said. "They just wanted to come in and line everything up. They're doing a thorough investigation. I said, 'You guys do what you need to do. Take the shingles off my roof to bring my granddaughter back.'"

exactly! There are neighbors - didn't ANY of them see Casey and Caylee leave or come back or maybe Cindy leave with Caylee or something. From the areial views of the neighborhood - those houses are somewhat close together.

Maybe the neighbors were very used to seeing Casey running around WITHOUT Caylee?

I tend to think GM & GP did a whole lot of babysitting while Casey was out enjoying life.

That last month was really the only time Casey had to deal w/ Caylee 24/7 probably.

I don't think Casey is the brightest bulb in the lamp - not by a long shot. With that said - she knows Caylee is missing. She knows it would be "the right thing to do" to show "some type" of emotion. Susan Smith was cryin' all over the media. Her "oh okay" attitude is so far off base. Even if she is psychotic or sociopathic - she is a liar - we know that - she should know that she needs to "put on the right face" and she is not doing that. That just throws me. I kinda think that maybe she just "blacked out" the whole thing.

Sounds totally logical to me. Although, Cindy's MYSPACE post already sounded like she knew Caylee was out of her life for good.
That's kind of overly dramatic to write just because you haven't seen your granddaughter for a while. How did Cindy know, at that point, that Caylee was out of her life for good?? The first few lines sound like some sort of euglogy to me. IMHO

For the first 2.75 years of Caylee's life she was at Cindy's house almost exclusively until June15th. Not seeing her for 2 weeks and getting bad info from Casey may have led her down a bad path in head. Apparently Casey's lies July 15th and on have brought her back from that bad place.

Isn't it strange though how Casey keeps saying "she's close, she's close" According to George, if we can believe it, that's what she told him again today. It's making me wonder if Caylee is somewhere in the house, like Jon Benet Ramsey????

I totally agree. It is how it struck me the first time I ever read it. It is interesting that Lee conveniently left it after he carefully took off every other post for that time frame from everyone, too. Did she go back and write it later as an edit to a previous post?

I think he's reacting to people speculating that Casey drank & maybe used drugs.... and that's why she's so disconnected to her daughter's disappearance & doesn't seem like she cared/cares.


These short soundbites are really killing the elder Anthonys.... Lee is much better at this than they are.

I'm seriously thinking about the hoax angle. Stranger things have happened. I mean seriously, what would they really be in trouble for? Filing a false police report? I have never seen anybody do life in prison for that. IE runaway bride. Also, they keep asking for these untraceable gift cards. Think about it the money they are asking for goes to a bank or trust, but if I am not mistaken they are asking for the gift cards to come directly to their house.

Does LE really think Jesse was mistaken about hearing Caylee's voice in the background during the phone call? I think with as much time as he spent with Caylee, he would know her voice.

i think what they were questioning was whether he actually heard her voice, or if Casey just said "get off the table Caylee" so Jesse would assume she was there. Close to a month went by before he was asked about it.. so its possible he could remembered it wrong, and thought he heard her, but then after being questioned maybe he realized he just heard Casey talking to her and not Caylee herself.

About Casey's jail call where she says "What do you mean you don't know what my involvement in this is?" I have actually believed that to be less sinister and her simply being ticked at her mom for thinking she might be "involved" with Caylee's disappearance. My two cents, but I nevre really believed those words made her mom complicit.

Like everyone else here I am just not sure. She goes from being distraught and throwing out the guilt trip about "all I have done" (and to be fair it was an awful lot) to defending Casey.
