Cindy cancelled her jail visit the other day to protect Caylee. Casey is "telling" them that if more is revealed then Caylee could be in trouble. Lee didn't seem to be worried about that today. I wonder why there would be danger in Cindy visiting, but not Lee. Some of the explanations given for things going on are really out there.

Yes thats my opinion too.
I wouldn't put anything past her......she is evil & cruel!

The car smelled like death and her granddaughter was missing. There is an entire 911 call devoted to this. She knew something was amiss. And again, why would you touch anything in a car that you just admitted smelled like it had a d*mn dead body in it?

This is, again, dead on w/ my thoughts. It is also in the police report that George approached the investigating officer very early on w/ concerns that Casey was not being forthcoming about what she knew. Both of these actions lead me to believe that both Cindy and George suspected Casey of foul play immediately.

I wonder, however, if Casey confessed to her parents and once they realized they would not be getting Caylee back they made the reluctant decision to try and protect Casey from prosecution. Either that or they initially hoped Casey had just somehow injured Caylee but--w/ the passage of time--have realized the inevitable and, again, now just want to protect Casey.

I would consider the possibility that they are making public statements in support of Casey in order to keep her trust to eventually influence her toward making a full confession but it does not fit w/ washing the pants and the conflicting stories about the gas cans. JMO. What are your thoughts on this, BlondieTx?

Maybe Lee just had enough and was going anyway. He seems to give off a different feeling than his parents to. He is firmer with her than are her parents, almost as if he is the parent. Maybe he caught on to her ways long before baby Caylee even came along.

For the same reasons you do. I think in the beginning she was traumatized by what was happening to her and she feared her daughter's involvement. Her head must have been spinning! As time went on, I think she adjusted and continues to adjust to the reality of what's going on. I also think she's been coached on how to address it 'cause in the beginning she truly confounded people by what she was saying.

I am just not of the opinion that George and Cindy have obstructed this investigation or continually lied.
I think they have been as straightforward as possible and continue to offer information.
I think they deserve our support and prayers for the situation their daughter has brought to them. They have such a cross to bear in the form of Casey. Bless that whole family.

I just watched the video of Cindy from after George's "rant". Not only does she say that she washed the pants and offered the information to LE that night, she also says the boots and shoes were left untouched in the car. Obviously false information is being spread somewhere, as I've read here repeatedly that Cindy washed the shoes and boots. I wondered how someone goes about washing boots. :waitasec:

She did volunteer it blondietx. Unless you are suggesting they had her hooked up to electrodes or they threatened her in some way.
I think she said she has tried to give them all kinds of things that LE wasn't interested in before but are now. I think everyone doens't think of everything all at once and that is why they often interview several times.
Sounds like LE has passed up on a few things.
Like the card at the apt complex. IIRC, they did not know about the sloppy handwriting..didn't a newsperson?? discover the date error?? or Only then did they come out and get the card.

Yes JBean it sounds like OLE missed many things. I can't believe they never took the car immediately.

Im beginning to think that Caseys parents at first thought that Casey just looked guilty, but did not believe she was. They perhaps then decided to help her look "less guilty". Now... maybe they are starting to see what others are seeing.

Do any of you happen to know offhand if the Caylee sighting by friends on 7-12 was ever confirmed or not? It was at a mall or something and she was with persons unknown. Did we ever find out who she was with and what that was about?

Just know a friend had seen her...could it have been Christine?

The reality is that Cindy has stated on a few occasions that if the evidence shoes that casey harmed Caylee she wants her to stay in jail. I do not think she will protect her daughter from punishment.

My brother got over 98% of his body burnt from gasoline he had 3rd & 4th degree burns from a accident / he lived 27 days & died.

Burnt flesh is a horrid smell. Like the smell of death it is so awful that it gags you & you'd never forget the smell as long as you live. Its a horrid death.

Remains can be burnt up / I've heard of several cases where this has happened a recent case it happened was Steve Avery killed Teresa Halbach in Wi another case was Katie Poier?? ms in Mn

He had time, access to a location (the junk yard he owned) a heavy metal industrial drum, rubber tires, etc., etc. It's not an easy process. I can't see Casey taking the time to get up close and personal with a body to relight, move it around, take it apart, relight and repeat the process for hours if not days, and all the gory stuff that's required to cremate a body outside of a crematorium.

I guess I'm not all wa-hoo over the 18th being shovel borrowing day. It makes no sense, imo. Caylee according to recent hunches would have died the 16th? 17th? ...not the 18th. Casey didn't have the shovel long, so it wasn't to take with her to use. Wouldn't Casey need the shovel the 16th or 17th to... god forbid...bury her child?

Not if she initially had her 'buried' in that play house or the sand box in the backyard. While those places could suffice for a couple of days she would then have to move the body to a more remote location. This explains why the cadaver dogs hit on the yard but the body was no longer there. JMO.

passin through...excellent post...I'm not sure if anything happened to Caylee it happened then...I just can't figure out the shovel. She may have been hiding her bags in the garage to take off on the GPs...but I don't see how the shovel works with that unless it could somehow open the garage doors.

Exactly Cheko. I am sure they are generally doing a good job down there, but there have been a few things missed. That is why they continually process information and have multiple interviews. New information will always surface if they keep looking.
