If that's the case, then I guess she just enjoys humiliating herself by taking up for Casey! lol

In my opinion she has NOT humiliated herself in the least. She is doing every thing in her power to keep her grand daughter, Caylee, in the news. She is trying her best to NOT alienate her daughter, Casey. Personally I admire her gumption to keep getting up every day and doing things that keep Caylee in everyone thoughts.

I've wondered that too, why LE didn't take that car straight away if it smelled to high heavens as badly as the officer on the stand stated. If it smelled day later that bad, it must have smelled just as bad the 1st night they responded, perhaps worse. Plus, Cindy had said what she did in that 911 call.

They can get a warrant pronto, can't they? If they really, really want to? I bet the Anthony's would have signed off for the car to be taken that night, but if things go to court that might have presented a problem? I don't know about these things...anybody else know?

Exactly Cheko. I am sure they are generally doing a good job down there, but there have been a few things missed. That is why they continually process information and have multiple interviews. New information will always surface if they keep looking.

Question. If the car smelled like death so much, why didn't LE process the car immediately? Also, did LE ever say the car smelled like death or just what the media said?

Cindy cancelled her jail visit the other day to protect Caylee. Casey is "telling" them that if more is revealed then Caylee could be in trouble. Lee didn't seem to be worried about that today. I wonder why there would be danger in Cindy visiting, but not Lee. Some of the explanations given for things going on are really out there.

...and this is where credibility comes into play. No one wants to believe that Cindy is "lying"...but it would really be better if she just said nothing.

Did Cindy storm into Tony's apartment and drag Casey out along with those clothes?

Had she left them in the car when it was parked at the Amscot (perhaps because she didn't 'abandon' the car and didn't expect it to be towed)?

And why was Casey telling her brother about the stuff that was in a "centralized location" at Tony's place, if her mother had brought that stuff home? Just how much stuff did she have at the apt of someone she'd only known for 7 weeks?

But how can she continue to back Casey after seeing all the lies she's told?? Even Cindy herself said in her myspace post that Casey had lied to her......none the less I do feel sorry for them where Caylee is concerned.....I just wish they would open their eyes and realize that they wouldn't be going thru this if it weren't for Casey in the first place!

I completely agree RR. I think George and Cindy have had a heck of a lot of carp dumped on them that it is rather ill deserved.
I offer them support and hope so that they can find the answers about caylee.

I think I asked this earlier, can't find the answer and couldn't stay around when I originally asked it:

Do you think that Casey acted alone in hiding Caylee? If in fact the worst has happened. I mean could a girl her age do that? Remain in a state of mind to rid of all the evidence?
Because my gut feeling is that her parents would not help hide Caylee.

But think about it racegirl. The very moment they come to terms with the fact that their daughter is indeed lying is the very moment the must realize there is little to no hope for Caylee.
As long as they do not impair the investigation, which I do not belive they have done at all, then let them have their hope,
They want to believe Casey for many reasons, but soon enough they wil have to accept that she is what she always has been.. a liar.

The reality is that Cindy has stated on a few occasions that if the evidence shoes that casey harmed Caylee she wants her to stay in jail. I do not think she will protect her daughter from punishment.

And yet the evidence does show that Casey harmed Caylee but George and Cindy have done nothing but be supportive--in public--of their daughter's ridiculous abduction story--not to mention washing the pants and the conflicting statements about the gas cans. Why apparently work against LE in these instances? Why not just leave the freaking pants and make it clear about the gas cans? It just doesn't jibe. I realize you feel sympathetic toward them--and I do as well--but I can't whitewash these instances. JMO.

I am just not of the opinion that George and Cindy have obstructed this investigation or continually lied.
I think they have been as straightforward as possible and continue to offer information.
I think they deserve our support and prayers for the situation their daughter has brought to them. They have such a cross to bear in the form of Casey. Bless that whole family.

As you, I feel for the family...I'm just a little angry at the situation...I don't believe they've always been forthcoming. I guess what also bothers me is that I haven't seen them reach out for the help that could find Caylee. I know there are those that say in their minds that would mean Caylee is dead...but you can't ask others (rudely, I might say) to do that which you yourself have not done. I'd be searching high and low all around the places their daughter frequented...talking to shopkeepers (especially if what she said was true that LE wouldn't), going to the clubs. Is there a PI doing this? I don't know. JMO

Only Ciindy said it as far as I know.
I have never read anywhere that any officer in any report confirmed that the car smelled like a dead body. Moreover, the posters here have made it very clear that the smell does not go away soon.
Maybe it did, maybe it didn't..don't know.

ah, your right JBean, that makes sense. Admitting she lied about all of this means the worst has happened to their precious grandbaby. How very sad. A parent really wants to believe their child.

I have seen this many times. A child of her age is on the road to trouble. The parent knows it but they just keep holding out hope. They threaten, bribe, try to make things easy, try to make them more difficult. But each time that child, not matter what the age comes back for help in any form, they just can't resist beleiving that this may be the time that the child has seen the light and they are going to straighten up.

I don't think the car smelled all that bad as one of the lE said he had to actually set in the car before the odor was detected.

That is what I am trying to wrap my brain around. Who helped her? Because I think Cindy and George really are hoping Caylee is ok.

I am not whitewashing anything. I have discussed each of those points, so please feel free to do a search of my posts and read them.
They have not seen evidence enough YET, to convince them that there daughter s guilty. They want to believe her story because IF her story is true then caylee is alive.

I think they may have used the word decomposition. They would never have said what Cindy said.
