Consider that Casey is a sociopath who thinks she's smarter than everyone else. Also recall that one of her favorite TV shows is CSI.
All of my favorite shows are 48 hours, Forensics, Court TV, etc., anything relating to true crime!

Me, too. Also I consume true crime nonfiction & websites about missing & murdered people. I think the difference between us and Casey is sociopathy, not taste in programs!

[But... doesn't everyone get caught and arrested at the end of each episode?

nope

Maybe TES gathered so few searchers because people are busy preparing for the hurricane? Is it due to hit in that area?

I don't think so not this one (Gustav)

As is Children's Tylenol. Usually you can't kill by overdose, but many kids have died of liver damage after their parents over used Tylenol. My sister used it to put her kids to sleep every night for years. Luckily, they are fine, but they were put in foster care, luckily.

When my son was a wee babe, he used to have terrible ear infections, which caused him to have fevers which caused febrile seizures. In order to control the fever, the docs told us to give him tylenol every 4 hours and motrin every 6.

It used to drive me nuts. It was like this from the time he was 6 weeks until he had tubes put in his ears at 11 months. That, and antibiotics. The poor kid was a walking ear infection. I was petrified we were doing some serious damage to him. Luckily, he turned out ok.

Could they be wrong? I'm not familiar with forensics and such, but this is a bold statement to say she is dead! I'm so crying right now. I had so much hope.

Forensically they can tell if a hair came from a corpse or living person, so the hair they found in the trunk can be ID'ed as Caylees from the root, the liquid decomposition also proves death. The report states that the dead body in the trunk was Caylee--so they have definitive DNA proof that it was her, and she was deceased.

Have we had any results from forensics on the shovel?

CSI Miami is one of my favorite shows (love Horatio). To lessen the amount of connectible fingerprints, etc. on her body, I'd say she put her in water somewhere. I think she borrowed the shovel to "temporarily" bury her in the backyard at GM's house until she could figure out a more "permanent place".

I'm ruling out the following, because too much traffic and someone would have seen her -

- Sawgrass apt. retention pond (too many apts. facing that retention pond)
- Fusion - sets too close to Highway 50 which is always full of traffic

If she put her in the woods somewhere, she would have to do it at night, where no one would see her digging.

If she put her in water, she has many, many choices around the Orlando area to choose from -

- Retention Ponds
- J. Blanchard Park
- Lake Jessup
- Other large lakes within a "freeway away"

782.04 Murder-
1)(a) The unlawful killing of a human being:

1. When perpetrated from a premeditated design to effect the death of the person killed or any human being;

2. When committed by a person engaged in the perpetration of, or in the attempt to perpetrate, any:

h. Aggravated child abuse,

is murder in the first degree and constitutes a capital felony, punishable as provided in s. 775.082(b)

In all cases under this section, the procedure set forth in s. 921.141 shall be followed in order to determine sentence of death or life imprisonment.

) The unlawful killing of a human being, when perpetrated by any act imminently dangerous to another and evincing a depraved mind regardless of human life, although without any premeditated design to effect the death of any particular individual, is murder in the second degree and constitutes a felony of the first degree, punishable by imprisonment for a term of years not exceeding life or as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.

Third degree would not seem to apply but is defined on the link- 3rd degree is without intent but engaged in a felony other than those listed, aggravated child abuse is listed and would seem to exclude third degree in this case.

782.07 Manslaughter; aggravated manslaughter of an elderly person or disabled adult; aggravated manslaughter of a child; aggravated manslaughter of an officer, a firefighter, an emergency medical technician, or a paramedic.--

(3) A person who causes the death of any person under the age of 18 by culpable negligence under s. 827.03(3) commits aggravated manslaughter of a child, a felony of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.

Mine too, Patty - but you and I aren't disposing of bodies now, are we? :blowkiss:

I'm am the type of person if I see anyone abusing a dog I report them. If I hear screaming and yelling in my neighbor and hear a child crying I call 911. I let out the Getko's that get trapped between my window and screen and set them free.

Ah, Ms. Katie

They are not wrong. Caylee died in June. You held out hope for so long. The sad impacts of this case are like the ripples on water, ever widening and now it has caught you too as a victim. I'm so sorry. Hugs.

If people aren't turning out based on anguish towards Casey or towards G&C, I wish they would let that go and focus directly on Caylee and do it for her, alone. Just for the search... drop the anger for the Anthony's there, and just bring love and care and the want to bring Caylee home.

CSI is on of my favorites as well. Considering that it appears as though she believes that she is superior to anyone else, and that she "was" a CSI fan...I say she used the gas for something other than to put in her car. Unless she's got a vat of acid hidden somewhere, burning is the only other way..IMO
I don't think she could quite figure out what to do with that poor child's body at first, thus Caylee stayed in the trunk. Then she wanted that gas badly enough to break into the shed to get it. Why didn't she just fill the car up right there in the garage? Or write a bad check to get gas instead of breaking into the shed? She didn't need to take the gas cans with her.
