I also have a problem because when I'm on here and looking at articles, my daughter asks me "Is that the little girl that is lost". I say yes, but I cannot tell my 6 year old that she is dead; she will have nightmares.

We had a predator at our bus stop this past year who was asking parents "Are parents the only people allowed to take the kids off the bus". One mother looked him up and found he was a pedophile convicted. He works in my area but lives further away. I actually showed my daughter his picture and said "this is a bad stranger". Well, not sure if I did the right thing because now she get's scared of strange cars, but yet, I think that I did the right think. How much do you really tell them? I didn't tell her what he did, just that he was bad. WHAT A WORLD WE LIVE IN TODAY. When I got off the bus from school, I got on my bike and we showed up for dinner that was that.

Yup, scary times we live in today. A difference from when I used to run the streets from after school until my mom yelled out the front door for dinner.

YES YES YES you did the right thing! It's hard to think that we are making our kids feel scared. But, it's better scared than sorry! You can balance it by explaining how not all people are bad, but until they are grown up they need mom or dad to tell them who is OK and who is not. You did the right thing for sure!!! Did someone notify LE? I'd a had Mr. Litig8r all up in that man's business, and then some.

so you must see right through this family? I mean, I know they have done everything they could to pull on the heart strings of everyone involved.

Oh ya...this is more, imo, than simple denial. There are some deeply entrenched patterns here, and WAY worse than I'm dealing with. They all reinforce each other. My situation changed, because I came into it and brought a heaping dose of reality with me. George, Cindy, Casey...they all seem tied so tight you can't see air. Lee? I'm not so sure. He got away, has a relationship, friends...they may be able to help him break through, in time.

It's going in and out. Just started watching it. Tent set up in the driveway and G and C were both out there. Signs up with Caylee's picture on them (look like the missing persons flyers).

Question for those of us with kids:

How closely are you letting your kids follow this?

My kids are 9 and 6, and I am not letting them follow this AT ALL. I don't believe that their little innocent minds can properly handle this.

Thanks so much. I swear I think the only exercise I've had in the past couple of weeks is clicking the mouse to follow this case, and putting up and taking down hurricane shutters.

:clap::clap::clap: Me too but I have to add in my "Flip Video" and remote control for my TV. Record, fast foward, rewind, stop, pause and picture in picture. I have never watched TV in so many directions then I have these last couple of week.

Trying not to at all. She catches me on the computer but I shut down when I have too.

I couldn't agree with you more. As a woman desperate to have a child this case has totally wrecked me. I would give anything to have a baby...I would have taken beautiful Caylee in a heartbeat. I just can't make sense of this and thinking of sweet Caylee breaks my heart everyday.

God bless you. I'm sorry you do not have a child. I would carry one for you in a heartbeat. I wish you the best in possibly ADOPTING? If possible?
