If Casey, as Caylee's mother/legal guardian, didn't report Caylee as missing because Caylee isn't missing, and she has known all along where Caylee is but doesn't want to tell anyone, has a crime been committed?
What if Casey sent Caylee for an extended visit somewhere?
What if she's just trying to p--s off her parents?
What if she wanted a break from Caylee but didn't want to tell her parents that because she knew she'd be admonished and, despite what Casey wants you to think, she craves George and Cindy's approval?
What if Casey was trying to get her parents' attention and made up a story that she never expected to go this far?
What if Caylee is with someone who doesn't want to be revealed because they:
a) were uncomfortable taking part in this plan to begin with, and are even more uncomfortable now that it's become such a fiasco! or
b) had no idea Casey would spin a story like this, are now afraid it would affect their own reputation if they were uncovered, and can't discreetly communicate with Casey to bring this to an end?
If any of the above are true, has a crime been committed beyond Casey lying to police during an active investigation? Maybe an investigation that wasn't warranted in the first place, because Casey knew where she was but refused to tell?
This case is VERY bizarre, but in the absence of any official forensic evidence I have to wonder how much we don't know and how much this case escalated due to media competition to get a scoop, ratings, etc.
Things are definitely not good between Casey and her parents, and I can certainly understand why! There were a couple of strong-willed women living in that house!
There is a lot of circumstantial evidence, bu I haven't seen the OCSO make any "official" statements beyond the original charges. The forensic evidence doesn't seem to be conclusive or official yet, so I'm just letting my mind wander a little...please don't jump all over me!
