Caylee Anthony General Discussion Thread #79

IIRC Casey was arrested 17 July correct,IN the phone call that evening when she wanted Tone's number, she said that she had talked to him that day (noonish) so she had the phone on the 17th. correct me if I'm wrong.

If she was trying to just get rid of the car, why not push it into a river or lake? The water would have gotten rid of all evidence including the suspicious uh..."pizza" smell. I think there may have been more to it than that.

I think that's a bit more obvious. If she could even manage doing it without help, someone might see her. Plus, when her car was "lost" how would she explain that one to her friends? I don't know.

Does water get rid of decomp smell?

Liltigress.............I also don't believe that Cindy and Casey were talking and texting on a daily basis. At the most, a call once a week to say all is okay.

I also think that although Cindy and George felt something was definitely wrong with the car smelling so bad, that they didn't connect it with Caylee on an immediate basis. But, by the time of the third 911 call, Cindy was definitely terrified as she had been putting two and two together.

But, somewhere along the line, both Cindy and George went into denial, clinging to Casey's story of the babysitter kidnapping.

So help me here - they know they have been blocked from seeing Caylee ... they both knew the car smelled like decomp... they know Casey is alive (they're talking to her, so who the heck did they think was dead in the trunk? I've still yet to hear any plausible theory as to who else they thought was in there...am I missing something on a thread somewhere about this?

Since you just listened to it, what was the exact statement Casey said to her mother about "what do you mean you don't know" or something to that statement. I found that such a Moment in that conversation.

Sorry it took me abit-I wanted to write it down verbatim as I heard it.

Cindy: Hello?

Casey: (heavy sarcasm) Mom, well I just saw your nice little cameo on TV.

Cindy: Which one?

Casey: (voice slightly annoyed, a bit incredulous) What do you mean which one?

Cindy: Well, I did four different ones and I don't know which one...I haven't seen them..I've only seen one or two so far.

Casey: (appears to be quoting her mother's cameo statement on tv-voice pitched at the end) You don't know what my involvement is and stuff?

Cindy: (sounding tired as in tired of Casey's drama) Casey....

Casey: Mom

Cindy: what?

Casey: no

(these last 3 words came rapidly, very typical of squabble mom daughter style)

Cindy: I don't KNOW (voice is not raised but emphasized) what your involvement is Sweetheart, you're not telling me where she's at.
(sounding tired and sad almost placating)

Casey: (very angry) Cause I don't effing (full word used) know where she's at. Are you kidding me? This last part was said with contempt.

The rest gets worse. I just hadn't heard it since then and it was a real refresher to what kind of girl we're dealing with her.

the walls are CRUMBLING

Frustrated.

I was watching the local Central Florida news on this story all weekend, and I kept hearing the same thing repeated over and over again: The police are working on the "theory" that this is a missing person's case, not a homicide case.

I say bologne (sp).

If the police were working this case on the "missing person" theory, they would have issued an Amber Alert, and they would have asked the "kidnapper" to drop the child off at "XYZ" place with no questions asked.

Do the police think we (citizens who care about this case) are gullible enough to think that they are treating this as a "missing persons" case ? Everything they have done and said up to this point, shows that they are treating this as a homicide case. And with GP George being an ex LE, he knows it too. Hence his frustration at the media last week. He (as we all do), wants this to just be a missing persons case, but he knows that everything the police has done up to this point, is how they treat homicide cases.

If Caylee has been kidnapped (and I pray this is the case), I for one would offer up my home for the kidnapper to drop her off at my house, no questions asked, then leave immediately so that I can call the police, turn her over to them and get this torture over with.

With all due respect, I think they are handling it as a missing persons case. Amber alerts are only issued if they fit a certain criteria-Personally I do not think there was a need to issue one in this case-the child was supposedly taken 30 days prior to the discovery of the event, the only person who had the details to the whole story was quickly determined to be less than candid among other things...what good would a state wide bulletin have done? As with all missing person's cases, LE is establishing a timeline, following a money trail and interviewing those who would have been within Casey and Caylee's circle. Having cadaver dogs and search dogs involved is no different than the way the Tara Grinstead case was handled.

tony may have infomation that he doesnt even know is valuable

she might have told him she was going somewhere at some point and he is the only one that knows that

except, the police probably know it now

no reason for him to cover for her if he wasnt involved

but she sure did want to talk to him in a badddddd way

I don't think that she wants that because he might know something, but because she's crazy about him and nothing else matters.IMO

I'm very curious who will be the first media person to get the guts to ask her about that post, at least just to see her reaction, because I think that alone may say a lot.

Basically to say, you guys say it was a normal day and she was going to work, etc., and then read the post and just see where it were to go.

I actually think Greta might be able to 'couch' it in a way that Cindy wouldn't blow up at her, and ask it in a way that Greta makes it sound like she's empathizing with her but really asking it to dig.

Oh I really REALLY hope Greta's peeps are reading this and put it in the list of Q's/scenarios to cover...I think Greta could get it done! (Then again, the Anthonys are also presumably reading here, so ya have to assume Cindy will be prepped...)

Very good point... Casey had her phone when her mom found her at Tony's b/c that's when she "answered" the mystery call from "Caylee." Then she tells Lee that the last place she had it for certain was IIRC the park?? When the heck did she have time to go to the park to lose the phone.... So many inconsistencies... I'm losing my mind here!!:confused::waitasec:

Yep, she *claims* she had the phone @ noon on the 15th (talked to nanny/Caylee) then says it was lost by the time Cindy caught up w/her, which is before 5:30;PM on the 15th.

Sure wish we knew if the 3:35 PM call from Kyle was answered.....& *if* Cindy & George tried to call her before finding Amy's number.

Casey: (very angry) Cause I don't effing (full word used) know where she's at. Are you kidding me? This last part was said with contempt.

that statement in red is so over the top

she is trying to make her mother sound ridiculous with this line

and yet, there is no other way for her mom to reconcile what is going on

when i heard that i puked :behindbar

She might have been afraid she couldn't pull that off without help. Since she left the keys in it, I think she expected it to be stolen, so the smell would never be an issue.

Where is it stated as proof that she left the keys in the car? I've been looking and can't find a reference to that fact.

I don't recall keys being mentioned being left in the car. Did this come from Cindy or LE?

FloridaKatz don't you remember the oscar mayer commercials b-o-l-o-g-n-a. LOL

I think that's a great idea. You should send an email to Greta with a link to that post. "she left without warning". I think Cindy's rant and the 911 calls are the closest to the truth that we have gotten in this case. Not much else the Anthony's say fits.

Agreed - that's why the 30 day stuff, spoken later on in the evening after both she and George have smelled the decomp in the car, is so important... I think she suspected Caylee was gone at that point in time when the first 911 call was made, and she thought she could smoke Casey out, so-to-speak, by making the initial calls...like she expected it would prove how serious she was about the "come to Jesus" talk she was presumably trying to have with Casey...but Casey didn't tell Cindy where Caylee was, nor did Casey have any other plausible story to tell her mother Cindy that pacified her, thus Cindy places the 2nd 911 call, and then the really upset 3rd 911 call... JMO

I thought she was basically asking her mother, What don't you understand about "the nanny stole Caylee"?? Some people who lie are so bold about it they dare you not to believe them. This way they don't have to defend their lie, they intimidate people into not questioning the lie.

I honestly don't think Tony was involved in any way other than picking her up. It seemed he rarely had a chance to interact with Caylee. From reading around on his Dad's page, Tony comes from a very religious and close knit family, he seems to be a good guy with a good head on his shoulders. He is still ayoung guy so he may have said to Casey he wasn't ready to settle down yet or ready for a family yet. Whatever she did, I just don't see him being a part of whatsoever. As far as I know he was forthcoming with the police as I went and reread THAT too. I think he was an amazing "catch" for Casey and whatever she did with Caylee she wants to have Tony by her side. I wonder how long it took Jesse to get away from her? She seemed all about getting married and being supported financially.

That is one of the questions that is really bothering me. Another coincidence, or related to Caylee's disappearance?

Haven't seen a really finite explanation for what happened with Jessie's leaving LE, other than his father's stated explanation (which reasonable minds can differ over re: whether it's legitimate or not,) plus his father is so upset at WS, he's copying our posts and placing them on his blog site, so it's hard to know...

Casey: (appears to be quoting her mother's cameo statement on tv-voice pitched at the end) You don't know what my involvement is and stuff?

Thank you. Sure seems like it had to do with the cameo's shot on TV. Now I can get that phrase out of my head! :)

Are you talking about Tony or Jesse?
