Caylee Anthony General Discussion Thread #79

How abut the possibility that she planned to go back herself and retriev it after she figured out what to do with it/about it - much like the other theories that have her interring/placing Caylee's body somewhere at first and then deciding to move her to wherever she is now???

Yes, the carjacking/kidnapping theory seems to be losing it's appeal because of the fact that Tony picked her up. Why would she use that when he could give testiment to the opposite? Your idea seems more plausible.

Anyone else have any thoughts about Baez's claim that this case is similar to Madeline McCann? Maybe telling about what could have happened to Caylee, i.e. left alone somewhere while mom was off "partying like a rock star"?

bingo--- more to this story....

Plus her statements "she close to home." That would also say that maybe she didn't finish. SHe moved her once but couldn't move her again.

I also saw this article-the whole thing is really good to read but here's a snip:

"mothers frequently dispose of the corpses in what researchers call a "womblike" fashion. Bodies are swaddled, submerged in water, or wrapped in plastic. Moreover, the NCMEC study showed that while the victims of maternal killings are almost always found either in or close to the home, fathers will, on average, dispose of the bodies hundreds of miles away."

"Researchers, building on the work of Phillip Resnick, have shown that women tend to kill their own offspring for one of several reasons: because the child is unwanted; out of mercy; as a result of some mental illness in the mother; in retaliation against a spouse; as a result of abuse. Frequent themes are that they themselves deserved to be punished, that killing the children would be an altruistic or loving act, or that children need to be "erased" in order to save or preserve a relationship."

They showed Casey and Caylee's very much still lived in bedrooms during one of the interviews. Leaving with a backback is very different to me than being moved out. It was clear from what was there that everyone expected Casey to come back home.

I doubt this is the first time she has left to go hang with friends, probably for shorter amounts of time, but I don't see it being out of character. The GPs were probably brushed off easily at the beginning and then Cindy became more persistant.... therefore the upset posting from Cindy on July 3rd and building up to the car impound notice that verified to Cindy that Casey was not where she said she was.

well, that's just it: the story of the backpacks, etc., only came out in the last week or so per an interview with George - prior to that it was some other story... plus, other WSers think Cindy may have told Casey that since they (C & George) had paid for all that we saw in the bedrooms, etc., that Casey couldn't take any of it with her... I do think Cindy and G believed that Casey would eventually come home again - they know her better than anyone and although they probably would have loved to see their DD out and making it on her own, they hadn't (unfortunately) ever seen that kind of independance from Casey.

Just to verify...the "psychic detective" is one mentioned in connection with a certain other person with a supernatural website (BP) that is not well-respected by this group, correct? I saw the search reported on the local 6 site and had previously read about this search on the BP site. I thought it was odd that they said they "weren't looking at street names " to local 6 when the BP website has strongly focused on the specific locations they thought were significant to search. I originally checked the BP site out as a curiosity b/c I am open to the existence of legitimate psychic abilities, but ruled out believing in this particular group after reading the facts stated on this site. Also, out of curiosity, what are the opinions of WS members of the existence of any legitimate psychics who have been successful in missing persons cases? I have always heard of it in general, but cannot site any specific case. This is a subject that intrigues me, and I believe any legitimate help is worth exploring, but also realize that this is a prime opportunity for unscrupulous people to take advantage of families desperate for any type of information. I’ve foolishly fallen into that category before myself. :blushing:

Wishingtree, if there is not already, I would suggest you start a thread or consult with a mod about starting a thread, the danger in that is sometimes these unscrupulous types use that as sort of an advertising thread, which I think inappropriate..
I posted early this am, on the issue above you referenced, and I wholly agree, add that they solicited funds for the search- I think this should be checked out.. I personaly believe there may be a handful of people that are truly gifted in this area, but you will NEVER see them interject themselves into an investigation, and they rarely want their name used and are happy to work behind the scenes as an additional resource to LE; I know this from personal experience

I don't understand the focus on the 24th as far as Caylee's death/disappearance is concerned. It may be a significant date in the cover up, but it looks to me like the 16 of June is the key date.

Agree. Not one person has reported seeing Caylee after this date. The 24th story by George, IMO, is just a cover up for the gas cans not reported found in the trunk on the 15th of July and/or just to make a point that nothing was suspicious in the trunk.

Do we have verified/confirmed info. that the keys were left in it? I've seen a lot of speculation b/twn threads 40 and now, but never anything to confirm. Anyone got a link to confirm that the keys were actually in the vehicle when it was towed???
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the keys were not left in the car. GP has made reference to his set of extra keys (gas tank fiasco).

I've always thought this was the best piece of evidence.. daughter has been missing "31 days" -- and the first thing she says to her mom is "Nice Cameo"

Yeah ... she's real concerned about Caylee. She was only concerned with Tony in that call.

My take on Casey's tone to her mother in that 911 call: she has about zero respect for one of the only 2 people in the world who have always loved both she and her daughter, taken care of both of them, etc., and since she has such little (or no) respect, what Casey hates the most is that when she's really in a bad, bad (read: arrested) bind, she has to (gulp) call the people she respects so little... People like this always think they are so much "better" or "smarter" than others and they really hate it when they wind up having to lean on these people they think are beneath them - really shows Casey's ugly and immature side.

I was interested in this just the other day after Nancy Grace cut off one of her callers thinking along these same lines. Nancy went on to talk about the work/ co-worker angle but did not address whether or not the park had actually been searched for evidence or anything like that.

She sure does mention Universal a lot.
...and it's such a VAST place. I was thinking today where in Orlando they could begin to look...it covers such a large area.

I saw it hear on the board that they were sending samples to the Body Farm. I am concerned that that is a bad sign as far as the samples in the trunk from a forensics standpoint. If the stain in the car had come back as Caylee's DNA and could be identified a decomposition fluids why would they need the air tested?

Btw- I believe they have had those tests back for sometime and are not releasing the results as they said directly they weren't going to until they were ready. I think they came in just before that search warrant was executed and released. JMO

Hi I-Redhead,

Why do you think this new testing is a bad sign? Maybe I'm suffering from lack of caffeine this morning.

Was the car left right up front at the Amscot? Or a bit more out of the way? I'm not sure I know the exact location?

Very good point... Casey had her phone when her mom found her at Tony's b/c that's when she "answered" the mystery call from "Caylee." Then she tells Lee that the last place she had it for certain was IIRC the park?? When the heck did she have time to go to the park to lose the phone.... So many inconsistencies... I'm losing my mind here!!:confused::waitasec:
Didn't Casey tell Lee that the "call from Caylee" came at around noon on July 15th?

At that point, Casey still had Amy's car - she didn't pick her up from the airport until 2:30pm on the 15th.

It must have been mid-afternoon when George picked up the car from the impound lot, and shortly after that when Cindy went hunting through the car and found Amy's phone number.

What timing. If the Anthony's had picked up that car earlier, Amy wouldn't have been in town to bring Cindy over to Tony's apartment (although she could have given her directions over the phone if Cindy reached her in PR).

Well said, Blink. Real psychics do not advertise, do not ask for money, and do not seek publicity.

If someone claiming to be psychic does any of these things, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction.

IIRC it's been mentioned that she pushed it into a spot in a lot.
