And maybe she paid for the new phone with Amy's $700. That was around the same time that Amy left on vacation.

  • #282
Yes - it was cut off. But I guess I assumed it was cut off after July 15th. How would she have used the phone otherwise? LE has said they have looked at those records...but the Anthony's don't have them. Perhaps that is what LE was showing them at these meetings at the sheriff's office.
That's just it - WAS she using her phone?

Why would the usage info be cut off on July 8th if the phone was still being used? Usually you can go online and check how many minutes you've used under your plan, but it sounds like the account was frozen on July 8th.

Maybe that is why she got the second phone, because the one paid for my mom and dad was cut off. Then she took the sim card out of the one that was shut off and put it in the new one.
She told Lee it was the same phone number - another lie?

I cant access a detailed view of my bill until my bill posts- like I can see how many minutes I've used and text messages I've used but I can't view my call details or text details

Hmm I've never seen that..only with my sprint unlimited I don't get details..but I suppose this is not an unlimited plan since she racked up that bill..unless it was long distance. If the last bill was the 8th, shouldn't that billing cycle be completed anyways? Not arguing just putting it out there..btw i gotta go lay my babies down so I'll be back to catch up in 15-30 mins.

Maybe in some sick twisted way a) she gave Caylee to someone to protect her (who knows!) and b) maybe the person that she owes a debt to had someone take caylee (i.e. mother, grandmother, etc) where she doesnt feel she needs to worry about her?

People deal with things in all different ways... granted I would be a lunatic I'm sure if this were ever god forbid me, but all angles should hopefully be explored

"dead body in dam car", shovel and gas. all of these put that theory has unlikely. unfortunately

OK. The Caylee Anthony story is supposed to be up next, right after commercials!
On Anderson Cooper 360.

Is Anderson Cooper 360 on the regular CNN or CNN Headline News?

Perhaps that is her billing cut-off date. I have alot of bills that don't cut-off at the exact end of the month. I don't know though - I am just talking about what I heard MF say. But we know the phone was being used because I know LE has said she got two calls on July 15 around the time she said she talked to Caylee - one from Tony and one from some guy named Kyle.

I have to look at the positive... :)

Could it have been someone else's body in that car? Maybe that is why Caylee is with someone else? Just my opinion....

They do need some sort of evidence though that it was first or second degree murder . . . If the police believe she drowned accidently, and she just decided to cover it up -- how could they charge her with murder?

That might be negligant homicide? Involuntary manslaughter? Not up on my terminology.

My guess (at the moment...it changes every day) is that LE knows Caylee is dead and her body was in the trunk. but they have no idea what to charge Casey with. I don't think they are sure how she died. Whether it was an accident or outright premeditated murder.

If they don't find Caylee's body, they may never know how she died. Even if they do find her, unless there was some skull fracture or something, they may not be able to tell.

In that case, they will have to be very careful as to what to charge CAsey if they want her convicted.

Info on great grandmother also receiving a call from Caylee is found at http://www.wftv.com/news/17161366/detail.html

as posted earlier by Adrienne37 at http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2485920#post2485920

The affidavit says Casey's cell phone records "show no numbers belonging to a Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez" and that there is "no incoming call" around noon on June 15, when Casey says she got a call from a private number and briefly talked to Caylee.

Cindy said she shared new information with investigators Monday about Casey's phone records that she says shows Casey really did get a call from Caylee on July 15 from a "private number."

She's even claiming that Caylee's great grandmother heard from Caylee during the time she's been missing.

"We had a long conversation about that today. Some of the stuff that got leaked out is erroneous and they're looking at some of those things today," Cindy said.

"How did the person who had Caylee get your mother's phone number?" WFTV reporter Kathi Belich asked.

"She was programmed into my daughter's phone," Cindy said.

and, IOW -- there are two missing phone calls, not just one. Astounding.

It took awhile for me to find this link, & may have already been posted in last few pages.

It is what it is but there is always hope- and until someone can prove me 100% otherwise, I'm going to stay positive and hope that someone out there has this little girl and she is being taken care of. I hope someone tucked her in to sleep tonight and said good night sweetheart.

Naive, maybe, but remaining hopeful and positive never hurt anyone.

I think is just wishfull thinking. That would make for a great movie though...

is it just me or does it seem like a power struggle with the family- cindy cancels visit with casey, casey cancels visit with Lee, Casey cancels visit with parents, Lee cancels visit with Casey and on and on....

My head spins with this case.

Huh? But Casey had her phone! So how would the person look up the programmed number and call if they don't physically have the phone? Or is that supposed to mean the missing BlackJack is with the missing babysitter? Geez.

Good point.

I'm now officially confused by the phone. Are the call records after July 8th unavailable to the Anthony family because only the owner (ie, Casey) can request them between billing periods?

Clearly the records have been obtained, if calls made on the 15th were known to LE.

Unless someone paid the bill?

Weird how the same dates have multiple 'hits' in this case. July 8th is also the date Amy left for Puerto Rico, leaving her checkbook vulnerable in the car she'd loaned to Casey - who must have been thrilled to find an unexpected source of income at her fingertips.

Someone mentioned Gone, Baby, Gone to me tonight and that a lot of what has been said by the players in this case fits into the script. I haven't seen it but just wanted to see what others thought
