That was not a power of attorney, it was something giving them custody of Caylee if something happened to Casey. It wouldn't apply here.

Also, that lawyer they cited said it never happened.

Casey stated in a phone conversation with her Dad that Caylee was the best of "all of us" and named Mom, Dad, Lee. She sees a little of everyone in Caylee. Weird.

Kids inherit genes from a mother and a father. Where is the resemblance to the "father" of Caylee?

I have always beenn skeptical of LP and his predictions, false statements, etc etc. But when LP states that LA is the father, I tend to believe him.

If LA gave a DNA sample, LE knows for sure and it WILL come out during the trial. DNA is a VITAL aspect of the prosecution. They will hold nothing back.

For all we know, and I can speak from my very own parental self as well as being a sibling to 4 others, the child could have had some physical traits from her father, but not necessarily in regards to her face. There may be genetics from both sides, but they don't all "settle" in facial features.

There is no statement from LE re: knowing who the father is. LE also doesn't appear to think Klee's paternity is relevant to the case.

I agree. The only statements I have found were in regards to JG not being the biological father.

I think it would matter for a civil lawsuit. he could file a wrongful death lawsuit against KC and probably the anthony's to prevent them from ever profiting from Caylee's death.
It would be terrible if the anthony's could sell "their story" even if KC is in jail.

IMO, I am praying that CAYLEE's funeral is this week, private or public doesn't matter.
R.I.P. does matter. Sweet baby, I know she is in heaven already months ago, but her tiny bones need to be claimed and buried with dignity and respect! IMO

The father would not necessarily have the rights even if he did suddenly appear. The rights to make Anna Nicole's funeral arrangements were given to a stranger even though Anna's mother fought in court for the right to bury her own daughter. If the father suddenly showed up, DNA testing would have to be done, probably a court battle would ensue, the funeral could be delayed for many more weeks. I'm sure no one wants that.

I can't see any possible way someone could win in a wrongful death suit against the Anthonys. :waitasec:

If information as to the father was withheld on purpose, a person may have a lawsuit for wrongful death case. I am not an attorney, but I can see how that would possibly play out. No one told him he could be the father or lied to say he was not then he finds that not only is he the father, but his child was murdered by the person who withheld that information. Sounds like a lawsuit to me somewhere in all of that.

Regardless of who was appointed to make the arrangements, Caylee can not be buried until the defense is through with her.

If the father hasn't come forward by now, he doesn't plan to. No one told him he could be the father???? If he knows how babies are made and he knows he had relations with Caylee, no one should have to tell him. Regardless, that would not result in a wrongful death suit against the Anthonys.

And the defense would whine in court that they were denied the right to examine the body themselves. They might even fight to have the body exhumed. Like it or not, this is Casey's decision to make.

Besides JB holding up the funeral to do a second autopsy. Don't you think that the holidays have played into this. A lot of people are out of town and not available.

I would think if another week goes by and nothing happens, then there might be cause for alarm. My guess is her funeral will be sometime this week.

The ANS case was very different. She was an adult, with a Will, and had expressed her own intentions re burial.
