Caylee's Funeral

Who is to say that Caylee's father would have even known that he was a father, until all this mess hit the news. Casey was 7 months pregnant before anyone knew and even then it was denied. If she has been sleeping with all the guys that we know of in the few months that we know about as a 23 year old mother, I can't imagine what she was doing at 18.What if it was a guy that moved on with his life, went to college and moved out of state, got married and has a family now. Maybe he is of the sort that doesn't see any reason to interject himself in to the mess. If he is alive I don't blame him for not coming forward.

Nor do i. But, I also doubt that he knows.

I agree with your thinking. Anna Nicole Smith stayed at the funeral home a long time, on ice as I recall. I don't want to sound gross, but sadly Caylee needs no refridgeration. There is nothing to preserve. Just bones in a box. God, that sounds horrible. But sadly it is fact, IMO.

I hate to ask, but I really want to know this.
When My uncle passed away his remains were put in a beautiful jar. There was also bones that was given to my Aunt of my Uncles remains, what I don't unnderstand is that there is nothing to creamate of Caylee, her remains are not there, only her little bones. What will be creamated? Seems like the A's will have to bury Caylee.

If he signed off on his parental rights, you might be right. If, however, he never knew he was the father until recently, then I think he would be entitled to exercise some parental rights?? A family lawyer would probably know the answer to that one better than I! I suspect this is a moot point however, as I think it highly unlikely we are about to hear who the father is anytime soon, though anything can happen in this case it seems!
I think you are right, provided he submitted his DNA and it matched. Larry Birkhead got custody of Anna Nicole Smith's baby and he had never previously been a father to her.

I understand what you're saying. I asked the same question to someone that owns a crematory. Cremation is a 2 step process. If you check out paragraph 8 on the link below, it will explain what happens during the cremation process. If any of Caylee's bones are larger than small fragments, her bones would have to go through the 2 step process as bones that have not been exposed to the high heat of the retort, would clog the machine that is used to grind the bones.

If a local TV station carries Caylee Anthony's memorial, Casey Anthony will be allowed to watch from jail, WESH-Channel 2 reported Monday night.

A corrections official shared the information, but didn't want to discuss specifics on camera, Bob Kealing reported. For more on the report, read Hal Boedeker's TV Guy blog.

Your post made me shudder! I have a sick feeling that they will sell footage and pictures of the funeral. I really hope, that if they continue to postpone, that LE just go ahead and charge them. I really don't want to see them profiting.

I think Caylee has become iconic of all the murdered children, for many people. Including us. And, KC? I know of what SHE has become symbolic. :-(

:devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil: And even this doesn't come close to what KC symbolizes.:furious:

I have never started a thread before on here but haven't seen one that has anything to do with this.
I keep hearing Rest in Peace little Caylee. This is really disturbing me due to the fact that little Caylee can't be put to rest due to the defense team taking so long to do a 2nd autopsy on her remains. That poor baby is in a cardboard box and in a freezer. A cardboard box. I would be throwing a fit if I was the grandparents or even the mother. I would be all over that defense team cause I would want my baby out of a cardboard box and actually resting in peace. What are your thoughts? This is outrageous and disrespectful to precious Caylee. :behindbar

ITA. The defense needs to get it done & the family needs to lay Caylee to rest.

Rest in Peace Sweet Caylee!!!

I posted this on the Nancy Grace Thread. The "Cardboard Box" Is probably a Coffin used for creamation. They look like real coffins, see the attached pic.

Rest in Peace Sweet Caylee!!!

IIRC, I heard them describe the box last night as a small "bank box" made of cardboard--bare bones. Just a cardboard box.

Thankfully most of us have never had to deal with our (deceased) loved ones, as being KEY edvidence in a murder trial. Keep in mind that these remains will go thru TWO autopsies that will be a major part of this trial.

That said, I'm sure that Caylee's remains left the ME's office in this 'sealed container' that is not to be opened until the next autopsy......

Also, seems no on knows for sure, who/what is holding up this second autopsy.

I can't remember where I heard this maybe it was on NG through Drew saying that the A's have gone and sat with the remains of little Caylee. I am sure that they want this part over with too.

The agony now knowing that little Caylee was rotting in a bag just down the street for 6 months has got to be unbearable. At least for the time being they know where she is and can and did go sit with her. It seems at times that we think they are being callous in this by not just getting on with it. Not only have they lost Caylee, which is the most tragic, their own daughter is charged with the crime.

If they still think KC is innocent of course they have the added burden of trying to get her off and if that means waiting to bury Caylee I guess they are willing to do it. At this point is it KC that holds the cards regarding Caylees remains? If she were to say forget it I want my child buried now would they or if the A's said so?

most of the delay in the second autopsy is due to the defense wanting the docs from ME before they do theirs....this was stated in the e-mail between jb and SA.....jb went on and on how imperitive it was to get this done with asap so the family could bury the baby....now look who is putting the delay on.....:furious::furious:---have also heard of rumors of selling the rights to the funeral/memorial....don't think it will be all that "private"--especially since they will need to broadcast it for kc....:furious::furious:

This case IS that crazy!

But, a father is MUCH more than a little accidental genetic material.
Not to the A fam. Caylee was Casey's mistake, remember?! So accidental genetic material is ALL they considered her father to be and have covered up who he is all this time. Do their lies EVER stop?! How many stories have we heard already about the mystery sperm donor? It only tells us that probably none of them are true.

Has anyone ever stopped to think how this would have affected Caylee if she had been given the chance to grow up? This whole family would have continually lied to her about her biological father, imo. She would never have known and I have to wonder what kind of people would want this for their child...a lifetime of searching for answers because no one wanted the truth to come out.

It is too bad that Caylee didn't have a father and his side of the family to fight for her. We may not have been here today waiting on someone to come bury her properly.

Have we ever heard exactly who has or hasn't signed off on this? There was a discussion a few days ago about KC releasing the body to the funeral home, and then everything seemed to stall. Rumors that a private "sitting with Caylee" may have already taken place with some of the family. Is it truly all about tv rights, at this point?

If he has been identified, as some have thought, I so wish he would stand up and demand that his child be buried.

Why does the defense need "the docs from ME before they do theirs"? The defense has access to the remains and can do their examination. What difference will having ME's report BEFORE the exam make? Doesn't make sense to me. :waitasec:

I don't believe they are concerned about their own findings. They want every detail from the ME's office so they can find something to pick at and attack in court. They cannot have much KC is innocent evidence so their only way to go is to attack LE,FBI, ME and the mailman for all I know.

There are ways they can allow Casey to view the funeral without it being broadcast on local tv. I don't see it being a factor in the delay.

It appears as soon as the matter over the motion to prevent Baez' team from cashing in on the remains is over and they get the ME's 3 discs (if they bother to pay for and pick them up)...we will then have another two weeks while his team does a two hour long autopsy (or less). So we are probably looking at 3 weeks or more before a funeral.
