It's sad when a celebrity you like dies, especially if it's one you liked as a young person or child. But I tend to take the deaths in stride as I really don't know the people and can continue enjoying their work through film or music....until Prince died.

His death truly rocked me and I mourned the loss like I've never mourned a celebrity. My kids couldn't understand my reaction as the Mom they know is not into pop culture at all. They didn't know me in the 1980s, lol! I have been a Prince fan for decades - from the very start of his career - and truly admired his talent and humor (and oh how sexy he was!!). His death was hard.

This entire year has been hard. I'll just leave it at that.

May 2017 be brighter.
