Cell phones. Privacy vs justice for Caylee

  • #41
For the sake of argument, how would exposing your embarrassing phone calls,or anyone's FTM ,help find the truth? There is no evidence that anyone else was involved. Why smear people, cause THEM to suffer, possibly lose their jobs, because of KC ?
KC is the ONLY one who knows exactly what happened.
Using your own words as an example of what JB intends,he would completely discredit you, because of your PAST as a viable witness for either side. How would that get justice for Caylee if you were a witness in this case?
Hi MissJames :)
I have had issue with the Anthony's PI not giving his phone record. He claimed they had video taped the area where CAYLEE was found months prior to her discovery and there was nothing there. so they claim the body was moved.
A) Why did he go to video tape over there? Who led him there and WHY?
B) Who may have been speaking to the meter man? WHY?
C) Why did GA need a PI?
D) What else is he hiding?

IMHO the A's PI leaves me suspect that on his Cell there will be enough information to help get real justice for CAYLEE.
JMHO and I feel his records should be scrutinized with a fine tooth comb.

I also wanted to tell you - it takes a great lady to foster other people children :blowkiss:

If we are to believe that KC is being threatened by powerful underworld figures who kidnapped and murdered her child, forced her to follow a script, lie to police and neglect to report Caylee missing, might we not also conclude that the people in her circle are being threatened and therefore are AFRAID to turn over their records?

That is why the courts should order a supina especially for DC the Anthony's PI. If he is afraid to just give it over, that would take it out of his jurisdiction and he would be with no choice in the matter. I feel there is much in that cell.

From what I gathered at the hearing about cell phone records, no one is refusing to provide records, they are simply asking that the time frame be narrowed to coincide with the case and nothing more.
From the way I recall it, DC is willing to give some records, not all records....
I think DC should be looked at from June 8th on. I do not know when GA contacted him, I do not know why, I do not know what DC would edit out of the records he is willing to give.
I do not trust anyone in the GA camp.

Yes, I think you are right. I was thinking more about her friends and RK. Was DC even represented at the cell phone records hearing or did he claim he didn't get notice? I also think he is claiming "work product."

This whole issue of phone calls is making me crazy!

I think there are two separate issues here:

It is a nightmare for Casey's "friends" in that they all seem normal 20-ish young people who like to have a good time. That's not unusual. Now, they have to run to lawyers to protect themselves from being shoved under the bus by the defense. They all have agreed to give out phone records for the pertinent times and pertinent numbers. IMHO, is all the defense has a right to have.

If the defense had every number of every friend, one could imagine the defense taking those numbers and investigating friends to create a "scenario" of evil and nefarious drug connections. I think of the Excel spreadsheet mentioned in the Sean K. thread. I have no doubt that the defense would like to fill in the blanks using bare facts and a lot of imagination.

As for D. Casey, I have no idea as to what he has to cover up for, although I could make a few good guesses. I notice that George and Cindy have filed a waiver of confidentiality. They don't seem to mind having all their records given to the defense. It sounds to me as though they are in cahoots with Baez (they did also file the motion to seal the autopsy as well). I hope Baez isn't just using them. Giving up all their records could get them under the bus as well!

JMHO!!!

I don't really believe her friends are being threatened, but I wanted to make the point that the posters who are willing to believe that KC is being threatened and therefore can't reveal all , ought to give these folks the same benefit of the doubt.

there are 2 issues at hand. I really am sorry for all the kids that are getting wrapped up in this mess.

I am very interested in what DC's phone records can reveal. IMO a lot...

And I will say it again the fact that the "A's handed over their phone means -0- to me I do not trust them at all.
They were capable of having one of those prepay throw aways, and so was KC who claimed to have lost a phone.

Firstly a shady past wouldnt autamatically mean I'm not a viable witness. It wouuld make me an honest witness with nothing to hide. The players in this case have admitted to drug use and they are key witnesses, so that point is moot.Yes he can try to drag them through the mud, but its up to the jury to decide who they do and dont believe.

The fact is that these records should have been requested by le.Especially those who had made some attempt to delete the records.
The concenus seems to be that most would not hand over their records to the def, but they would to the prosecution. so its not about privacy at all. Its "i dont like you, so I'm not giving you anything'.
Who knows?.....by looking at all records, perhaps they may be able to pinpoint another phone that KC used, which contains a whole bunch of new calls/texts....and more evidence against her.

Jg's atty seems hell bent on not releasing any of his records per the motions hearing.
JG's records are especially important if he is going to be pinned as the SOD by JB. Why the state has not prepared themselves for this is, I just cannot comprehend.

bbm: how do we sleuths KNOW they haven't? Keep in mind, LE/SA have kept the reason for renewing the DP. We are simply speculating on what hard core evidence LE/SA has.

With all that has been disclosed, I am more interested in seeing their hand than what they have shown JB and crew.

Bolded---I'm in that group---but I don't feel like you put forth. I'm sure the peeps involved know the defense is looking for somebody to throw under the bus----Dam right I would have a lawyer and don't feel like I would want to give the defense a smell of my drawers. I would have already turned my stuff into LE---several of the lawyers said in court that this was a fishing trip----hey, they wouldn't be using my fishin pole.

IMHO if you have nothing to hide it should be no big deal to hand over access to phone records.
There is a dead baby here that deserves justice. But surly if you do have something to hid you will make a fuss.
When people get adamant about their privacy and their control numbers it only makes me more curious what they need to hide.
Like I always said to everyone in the house if you cant tell me about it "It cant be right" or "You must be doing something wrong". JMHO
They can give access to a 7 month span from JUNE 08 to Dec. 08. No big deal.

But songline---in your house, you are the law---so to speak and to me the defense aren't the law.

MAMABEAR, if I misunderstand, please correct me:

I agree w/you. I think I get the 'nothing to hide nothing to fear' perspective, but the fact remains that it's my life (hypothetically). And my personal, day to day dealings (again - hypothetically). Being a private person in general, and knowing what can end up in the media, I would be fighting tooth and nail to carve out only the essential block(s) of data needed by LE.

Well, I'm saying that I would turn e-thang over to LE/FBI but would not turn anythang over to the defense. The defense is looking for somebody to throw under the bus---so I would probably give them the "LEE" fanger. LOL

I agree, I would not give the defence in this case a centimeter of anything. I do not trust them.
but I would give anything if it was to defend CAYLEE.
In order to learn what that detective GA had was up to, I think it is the LE/FBI that should be asking for it.

Everybody who is involved has turned everything over to LE/FBI. They already know what all the PIs, friends and strangers have to offer. Dc has turned over what he knows to the Bar via the LE/FBI---------there is no need for anything to be turned over to JB. He can read the interviews like the rest of us do. He is "fishing". JB is fishing. He reminds me of a---never mind what he reminds me of.

He reminds me of KC - why actually do any work yourself if you can either get someone else to do it for you or send them on a wild, convoluted goose chase to give the appearance of activity?

Remember that old Rice Crispy Treats commercial where the woman sat in the kitchen reading after she had made them - because they were so easy she had plenty of time to relax - but before she took them out to the table for her family she sprinkled water on her face and threw flour in her hair to make it look like she had sweated and slaved over a hot stove? That just somehow reminded me of JB and all his activity.

Or maybe it reminds me even more of when my sister and I were little and used to play "office". I had an In Box and and Out Box on my desk and I would scribble something on a piece of paper I took out of the In Box and solemnly transfer it to the Out Box thinking that is what grownups do when they work in an office, just autograph things and move them from one side of a desk to the other. I could hardly wait to grow up and spend my time getting a paycheck for THAT.

Well Mama you know me well enough to know that when I'm waxing this sentimental I need to say goodnight, lol!
