So the person who was in custody has been released? Is this the same person who was being charged with obstruction of justice, or is it the 25ish person that was described? The man dressed in black? I am totally confused.
This is going to be that 25 ish person. As the director of the FBI, you do not tweet that you have a person of interest in custody unless you're positive he's your guy. This is an absolute mess messaging wise.

But how would he know if he was so far away?
Moo .maybe the shooter left a phone near the speakers or something. So he could hear what was being said ?

Is it one or two people which they arrested?

BBM

It almost feels like that was meant as a signal for the shooter.

MOO JMO
I see what you mean, but I doubt someone 100-200 yds away could hear any of that. Unless college kids are a lot quieter these days. I was just relating a word for word description of the dialogue at Kirk's event, revealing the flavor.

John Miller: Back to the beginning. They wouldn't have released this guy if there was the possibility this guy was still in play.

Sigh.

John Miller is my go-to guy. IMO if he says something, it’s true.

Just now he was telling Anderson Cooper that the pace of grievance-inspired murders seems to be ramping up to every two or three weeks.

I have faith in LE overall and hope they find this guy pronto. The CORRECT guy.

And please don’t inform the public until the CORRECT guy is in cuffs.

Moo- the perp got away in the crowd but lives nearby. They knew how to get on the roof and nobody noticed them. Likely has some connection to the college.

Man arrested for obstruction of justice known as local nuisance

George Zinn, 71, who was taken into custody on obstruction of justice charges, has been known in the community for showing up to various events - and occassionally disruptin them, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.
He has been arrested multiple times in the past for misdemeanor offenses.
Zinn's most serious charge came in 2013 when he was arrested for threatening to place a bomb at the end of the Salt Lake City Marathon.
He took a plea deal and received a sentence of probation, along with mental health treatment.

There is absolutely no one better when it comes to crimes like this. Really scary stuff, and I'm sure they will catch this guy soon. You can't shoot from a campus building and not be captured on many cameras.

Unless there was other film released, that black thing on the roof did not have a head, or limbs or firearm. It was just a dark shape, or maybe someone enhanced it?

I agree. I guess the shooter wasn’t the person going around to the hospitals on the posted police voice clip?

Utah Valley University has informed students, faculty and staff that its campuses will be closed for the rest of the week, and all classes and campus events will be suspended until next Monday.

The school’s leaders said they are “shocked and saddened by the tragic passing of Charlie Kirk, a guest to our campus” and “grieve with our students, faculty, and staff who bore witness to this unspeakable tragedy.

Wow. All I've got to say about that remark without getting banned

He was about to answer the person's response on how the number was a grand total of 5 and that his previous statements were a cheap obfuscation when he was prematurely silenced (forever).

Utah Valley University police had six officers working at Kirk’s campus event and more than 3,000 people were in attendance. That’s according to the university police chief, Jeff Long.

He said his officers coordinated their operations with Kirk’s security team, and plainclothes police officers were also present. While Long law enforcement tries to get “bases covered” for such events, “unfortunately today we didn’t, and because of that we have this tragic incident.”

At the time he was shot, Kirk was speaking in a low area surrounded by campus buildings. Afterward, officers used yellow crime scene tape to block off a corner of the roof of the university’s Losee Center, about 140 yards from where Kirk was shot. University spokeswoman Ellen Treanor said authorities believed the fatal shot was fired from the roof of that building.

Separately, students told The Associated Press they saw no metal detectors or bag checks. BBM

Surely there are cameras at the building of where they believe the shooter shot from?
