Charlie Sheen's parents are so freaked out by his drug-fueled nosedive, they want to pull a Britney Spears -- and ask a judge to put them legally in charge of him.
Martin and Janet Sheen are weighing a conservatorship bid, similar to what Spears' dad, Jamie Spears, did in 2008 when he won a court order to put her financial empire under his control.
However, the Sheens believe they'd have little chance of convincing a Los Angeles court that the 45-year-old "Two and a Half Men" star needs parental intervention, according to Us magazine and Radar Online.

I'm not sure but I would think Charlie Sheen's parents stand a good chance of being granted a conservatorship. I don't believe CS's age should be a factor. He clearly can't manage his life or make good decisions at this point. From the article in the NY Post it sounds like they definitely need to get CS away from his manager, Mark Burg. That's the problem when you are an alcoholic/addict and you're rich. All the hangers on and parasites that are enabling your downfall as long as you keep signing the checks. We've definitely seen this with Britney Spears and Anna Nicole Smith. I wish his parents luck with this and hope they succeed.

I would think that would HAVE to be in the divorce settlement. CS is worth millions. Denise surely had a really bad attorney if he/she left that little tidbit out.

I wonder if DR can go back and amend it now? The guy IMHO will prolly be dead in a year or two.

Also hope this Sheen has a will that leaves his fortune to all his children.

I have been wondering about the crew of 2.5 men as my dear bf has a friend who works on the show. They are not getting paid for the hiatus.

CS did have a sober coach on set last year after the incident in CO. The coach was supposedly stuck to him like glue. I guess it didn't take, eh!

It is sad that these 'below the line' crew members have lost their income as many have families and mouths to feed.

On the upside, dbf's friend spoke highly of CS...said the crew liked him, he showed up on set on time and ready to work but this was before these recent antics.

I hope CS cleans up his act. He has very small children who need their daddy.

I'd really like to see his parents intervene like Papa Spears did.

I encourage everyone to pick up or read US magazine this week...according to the magazine, CS O'D'd and it took about 12 hours to bring him back...the paramedics who answered the call appear to be the source for the article.

It sure does believe 09! Cocaine is apparently a helluva drug! Reports of CS' losing his teeth would indicate long term abuse wouldn't it? My instinct says this has been going on for quite awhile.

In addition to drugs and booze, IMO CS has anger management issues and has had for a long time. Or maybe the Am is fueled by the alco and drugs. I hope he gets the help he needs before he becomes a shell of a person. Or worse, DIES!

I wish he would step out of the limelight and get away from Hollywood and it's temptations for awhile to recover and heal.

Prayers to CS and his family and all those who love and care about him. Be well CS.

I wish I could scan the article for you guys-it says he was unconscious and blood was running from his nose and mouth. Martin and CS's mom tried to 5150 him-In CA that is a mandatory psych hold, but CS flipped out when he came to.

Personally, and this is just speculation not based on anything I know, I think that CS needs to do some serious thinking about what he believes would actually fufill him. I mean given his treatment of women across the boards, I have a sneaking suspicion he does not like them very much.

Wow, that's difficult to watch. I really, really hope he gets his act together.

I have had a reccuring thought through all of this-- I would absolutely LOVE to know what Angus T. Jones' (the kid who plays Jake on Two and a Half Men) have to say about CS.

I know the next thing to nothing about drugs but do know that meth causes a person's teeth to fall out because it's very acidic.

I did a little research and found a link stating some cocaine users rub the drug on their teeth and that cocaine also causes dry mouth and exposes the mouth to decay-causing bacteria.

Heard our local radio station morning duo talking about this and they had some guys calling in and confirming that meth seems to go right along with the girls, strippers and ho's. Apparently once a man's had an orgasm on meth, it's about all he lives for. Many meth users just want to sit around, get high, look at and...they become very obsessed with and collecting shiney objects. Charlie Sheen is a snaggle-toothed tweeker???? Well he's a snaggle-toothed somthin'.

The stars cannot be trusted to keep secrets. Who knew?
