Charlotte Lipsik, age 38 was brutally beaten, raped, and stabbed seven times on Saturday, 30 May 1964. Her body was found in an elevator in Brooklyn's Crown Heights section.

Miss Lipsik was attacked shortly after midnight on May 29 as she returned to her home at 990 Montgomery Street after attending a movie in Manhattan with another woman teacher.
