Chloroform in the trunk of caseys car

I am trying to remember this. Somehow I vaguely recall that chloroform is or can be used in the preperation of one of the major party drugs. Either Crystal Meth or Extasy?

Chloroform in the trunk however = muder charge. no question about it. Especially when combined with the computer search. That's premeditation.

The only other explanation might be that Dad got ahold of the chloroform in an attempt to remove any DNA traces from the car. ( which could be the thing that LP was hinting at yesterday)

I say premeditated murder Because if the internet searches were before Caylee disapeared then how would george know that he needed to clean up any DNA?

Last week when the 400 page document came out I found it interesting that Casey was telling Amy that Cindy was going to sign over the house to her.
Does anyone else wonder if Casey was considering killing Cindy and George with the chloroform?

I just created a thread about this! I connect it with Casey's fantasy of Cindy giving her the house which was so far away from reality. When I heard about that story she was telling Amy when I was reading the 400 p documents I couldn't help but wonder whether she was fantasizing about killing her parents?

The guy on Nancy Grace says that chloroform fumes can be made by mixing bleach and ethanol. I have a bottle of Golden Grain, which is 95% pure ethanol and legal to buy (I use it as a perfume oil carrier.)

Furthermore, chloroform dissolves easily in gasoline.

I'm wondering about those gas cans again.

Maybe Casey has been using chloroform to put Caylee to sleep and keep her in the trunk or car all along ...maybe when she was "with the nanny at the beach or disnetworld" she was kept knocked out in the car, and maybe she was left in the heat too long or given too much chloroform

Keep in mind that LE had the computer and thus the logs very early on. Based on the search logs, I have a hunch LE specifically tested for chloroform because they already knew she'd researched it.

Yes, it was Amy. Casey took Caylee to late night parties there and put her on the couch to sleep. I sure don't know the page number but yes I did read that.

Chloroform is short acting though, it wouldn't work in that scenario.

Regarding Casey saying Cindy was gonna sign the house over to her (and assuming Casey for once wasn't lying), could it be that Cindy was either going to leave George or anticipated him leaving? If she is the sole owner, she might transfer the property to keep George from getting it? I think I remember seeing a while back that in the divorce action he eventually dropped, he asked for both assets and alimony or some such, didn't he? Maybe Cindy was trying to get the house in Casey's name so George couldn't go after it. Seems like Lee would sure be a better choice for that, but maybe she wanted to be sure Caylee had a place to live if anything were to happen to her.

It's not all that difficult to imagine a scenerio in which Casey chloroformed Caylee to knock her out and later passed out herself without recalling that little Caylee was in the trunk.

The thing that I want to know though is how recent the searches were.

Was she using the Chloroform for a long time to knock Caylee out while she went clubbing or did she use it once for the sole purpose of murdering her child

absolutely that is why they tested for it, your kid is missing, you don't report it, cadaver dogs say there was a body in it, and hey look at this, she has been researching chloroform and how to use it. That phone call to the FBI was made right after that.

OMG - I have really been thinking this was an accident. If this chloroform story pans out and she used it on Caylee, she is truly much more evil than I could have imagined. I am so sick to my stomach right now.

Someone brought up an interesting question on NG. If Casey wanted to kill Caylee, why Chloroform? There are so many other ways to kill a child. I think that maybe, even though Casey wanted Caylee gone, she didn't want her to suffer like she would if she were smothered or physically injured. Am I wrong to give Casey even that much credit?

I wonder if Casey watched any movies recently in which someone was killed with Chloroform.

I just don't believe anything Casey told anyone.I think she was lying to her friends about getting the house so that they would think she had money.

ok even with the choloroform.....did she do it alone? was it an accident? how can a babysitter exist and be paid with her having a job? why would u drop off a little 2 year old at the bottom of an apartment step? why would you be the only one who knows the chick who sits for your kids? and there have to be more than one way to get ahold of someonewho watches your child for over a year. maybe her mom was using chloroform?

Because in Caseys sick mind she probably thought she was giving her daughter a painless death. Hold a rag over Caylees mouth until she goes to sleep & her heart stops. She is a sick woman who deserves the death penalty if this is true.
