Chris Brown in Stand off with Police

R&B singer Chris Brown was arrested Tuesday after a woman claimed he threatened her with a gun, Los Angeles police said hours after officers arrived at the entertainer's Los Angeles mansion and returned with a search warrant.

"Mr. Brown is going to be transported where he will be arrested for ADW — assault with a deadly weapon," LAPD Lt. Chris Ramirez told reporters at around 5 p.m. local time (8 p.m. ET). Brown will be formerly booked sometime Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, police said.

He has been in so much trouble since the incident with Rhianna. Whatever caused such a downside for him? Fame too young?

I know it's not the same everywhere, but our local PD's robbery/homicide unit is another name for what other departments call their major crimes or violent crimes unit. They investigate many crimes other than robberies & homicides, so it's a bit of a misnomer.

Thank you. I seriously thought they were going to report suspicion of homicide. I'm so glad that was an incorrect possibility in my thinking. Phew....

celebrity entitlement and he's just nuts < to many drugs?>:moo: His daughters Mom is going to use this against him in court, after his verbal rant, I agree she should.

ETA: I watched most of the day to see him arrested and then fell asleep before it happened:banghead:

Question:
Isn't he a felon due to the Riri incident? He plead guilty to a felony in that case.
Can a felon in California own a firearm?

What a mess. He's had plenty of help and plenty of chances, but keeps surrounding himself with less than stellar people.

Or possibly "birds of a feather"?

:cow:

And I'm sure his sentence will be community service......

Well I believe he's already been down that road after the Rihanna incident. (I hate calling it an incident because it was more than an incident but I can't find the right word).

He could be in serious hot water this time around. This guy needs some serious help. He likes to threaten and beat women. He didn't learn first time around, maybe this time he'll get the message but I don't think so. With a hotshot lawyer and fame on his side, another slap on wrist.

The next time, and there will be a next time, the outcome of his actions may be much more severe and the consequences more daunting.

I think this woman who accused him is nuttier than Chris Brown is. I think she lied.

Just wish celebrities like him would get their act together before someone gets killed.

He should have not had any guns around at all.

Think of all the entitled celebrities that end up in deep trouble because of guns. Just a few that I can think of
The common theme in at least 3 of these below is "arrogance". I think arrogance plays too big a role in their lives and probably contributed to their undoing.
From what little I know of CB it seems he fits the arrogant profile. Hope he can change before something really bad happens.

Woman Who Accused Chris Brown of Rape Under 'Psychological Pressure' During Incident: Lawyer Says

Franck Serfati told the Associated Press his 23-year-old client “was not pressured physically” while in Brown’s Paris hotel suite, but was in an “environment with great psychological pressure” when “non-consensual sex” took place between Jan. 15 and 16.

Serfati explained Brown, 29, allegedly “cornered her in a room that was locked” the Associated Press reported.

“There were forced sexual relations and then he went to talk to other men — it was a masculine environment,” Serfati said of Brown.

On Monday, Brown was detained but was later released.
