A land and sea search is underway for a missing man as his daughter has made a desperate appeal to find him. Chris Ellery went on a solo trip in Fishguard, Pembrokeshire on Wednesday, October 30, but failed to return home by his planned Thursday lunchtime.

His daughter, Kenzie Ellery, has shared a desperate plea for information on his whereabouts and help with the search. She explained that her dad was an experienced boat user who is "always very prepared for when situations go wrong" and that it is out of character for him to not be in touch.

Chris's daughter, Kenzie, has posted that "police and coastguards have been searching for him and have found his belongings on a cove you can only access by boat". Hopefully he has beached there deliberately, rather than it being a case of the boat (actually an inflatable dinghy) simply washing up there on its own.

Hopefully I am allowed to post this here:

"He broke down, but managed to get it going again. But his phone had also stopped working," the spokesman said.

"He came ashore in County Wicklow and made his way to a local police station.

That's the type of story to make a film out of!

"Garda (Irish police) officers confirmed to coastguards in Milford Haven that he was safe and well."

That's great news - I took a ferry type boat out of Fishguard to visit Ireland in college. The distance isn't far, but the seas can be treacherous. Such a wonderful outcome.
