An Aurora, Denver man is in critical condition after running over his own head. The accident happened yesterday morning when the man dropped a lit cigarette on his jacket and it caught fire. He jumped out of the moving car, fell, and one of the wheels of the vehicle went over his head. He was only backing out of his driveway at the time.
The relative with him in the vehicle was unharmed. Police say alcohol was not a factor and they don't anticipate bringing any charges, but they have urged drivers to beware of distractions when traveling.
