Thankfully....after seeing Cindy actually say it, I don't believe she actually believes it, it's more in the way that you are after someone very close to you dies, when you are going along in your normal life then catch yourself thinking about them as if they're alive then have a jolt and remember that they're gone. As she said it she screwed her face up, as if to say she knows it's nuts, in a 'funny how the mind plays tricks on you' sort of way.

She says it a lot doesn't she? Makes me wonder why too...what is the meaning behind the statement? To appear sympathetic is what I usually assume, to appear confused / nutty when the pressure is on ... to irritate Casey? ... to create doubt? All are possible. It must serve some purpose for her.

I have mixed feelings about Cindy, I feel sorry for her, but I can't stand the way the family 'cashed in' on this situation and really can't forgive the ridiculous lies she has told.

I want her to settle down and start telling the truth and face the consequences, but every time it looks like she has been about to do that in the past, she turns around and does something to ruin it.

Unfortunately I think she'll stay somewhat in denial and use this situation as her sole source of income for the rest of her life.

A series of four e-mails apparently sent to the judicial assistant of Orange Circuit Judge Jose Rodriguez describe an alternative — and, in large part, impossible — set of supposed facts, claims and allegations.

James L. McIntyre, who floats similar theories about the Casey Anthony case online, wrote the e-mails. They were recently added to the civil suit filed by Zenaida Gonzalez, a Kissimmee woman accusing Anthony of damaging her reputation. Rodriguez is handling the defamation case.

Anthony is also the defendant in the criminal case, in which she is charged with murdering her daughter.

Gonzalez's defamation trial is scheduled for a trial period beginning Aug. 29, 2011; the criminal case against Anthony is scheduled for May 2011.

Skeletal remains were found Dec. 11, 2008, near the home Caylee shared with her family, and a few days later Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia identified the remains as Caylee's.

Now, the alternative reality: In his writings, McIntyre alleges Caylee "is among the living" and residing in New York City with a Gloria Fernandez-Gonzalez on Amsterdam Avenue on the far Upper West Side.

He claims the child was kidnapped on July 2, 2008, and that the abduction was captured on a Homeland Security video.

What's more, McIntyre claims the judge put under court seal the disc containing this video.

"You are withholding evidence that will prove young Caylee Marie Anthony was kidnapped and taken acrossed [sic] state lines on July 2, 2008 at 6:28 p.m. from Orlando International Airport . . ." states one of his e-mails. "Failure to fully disclose evidence is grounds for a mistrial."

If you look around the net, you will see him and his similar theories on Caylee and others...dude has an ax to grind...google HIS name and you will see he was an attorney, barred for drug use, dui's and seems he has an ax to grind with the courts since he cannot practice law...JMHO


Justice for Caylee will come even with this conspiracy theory going round and round...if CA has a glimmer of hope, she should truly ask ICA...ICA took her hope away...Caylee is deceased, has been since late June 2008...I can't believe she is still tarnishing Caylee...May God forgive CA...JMHO

When I watched the live video feed and saw and heard Cindy say that she thinks Caylee is still alive, I thought to myself "Who did she cremate and have a memorial service for?"

Well, someone finally asked BC about this...Meredith Viera on the Today Show. He said something to the effect of she does believe it...she's still in the grieving process and not ready to relinquish the hope or something. It's toward the end of this video:

I think CA's brain is mush, b/c I do not believe she truly believes that Caylee lives + breathes and is somewhere out there in the world, but she's just gonna let it go at "I believe Caylee is still alive". Pa--lease! She says that every now + then b/c she still cannot accept(or admit to the world) that HER daughter killed HER GRAND DAUGHTER. But subconsciously she knows that it can't be true that Caylee is still alive, she just can't get that truth to her conscious mind yet. That's my take on her convoluted beliefs anyway.

For all Cindy's infuriating behavior and statements in this case, I truly do feel so sorry for her regarding Caylee's death. She and George deeply loved her and are devastated over losing her. So what you say is very possible.

However, I'm very cynical where Cindy is concerned. I think she's always had some purpose in the weird things she's said and done, and I think this might be no different. I have a feeling that her promoting a belief that Caylee is still alive might somehow be related to her future testimony in this case -- perhaps state of mind, incapacitating grief that causes her testimony not to be reliable because she is "confused," can't always distinguish truth from fiction, can't be held accountable for inconsistencies or inability to remember things, etc.

I can't put my finger on it exactly and don't mean to sound unfeeling toward her since I know she's hurting...but there is NO way she doesn't know that Caylee is gone. I just feel like she's setting something up for down the road.

tired of that grieving process....part of it is the acceptance...she hasn't accepted it--so she really can't be grieving....when you accept it you are in the grief process....I have been in that grief process for two years now...(two family members)---one I still have problems with her death---that one hit hardest (sister)--hard to accept her death but no other choice....if she is still stuggling I certainly hope that Mr. Conway is seeking professional help for her....she needs it---wishing Caylee were alive isn't going to get her anywhere---acceptance will allow her to heal...not this make-beleive:twocents:

I never thought Baez could look good, but compared to Mason he was focused and asked exactly for what he wanted and no more. Mason was frankly embarrassing.
If you're going to stand up in Court and argue at least make sure your comments about someone's activity are factual. His mistakes are glaring.
LBD will demolish him during the trial. She has done her homework, he has not.

Cindy can wish, think, and try to keep Caylee alive in her mind but it will not change the fact that Caylee's has passed. Cindy had this huge "Memorial For Herself", IMO it was for herself because she excluded many that helped search for Caylee and made it into a side show. She even said later that they were going to plant a tree or something in Caylee's honor something to that effect and to my knowledge has not done so yet. Cindy knew Caylee was dead by July 15, 2008 IMO and has done nothing but, lie, hide evidence and hinder Caylee's investigation. She knows she has broken many laws and is probably going to try to use the "Insanity Defense" so that she will not have to take the stand at trial or once it all catches up to her IMO.

I am waiting to review video of Cindy saying in court today that she "still believe(s) Caylee is alive." It was a very sad moment, IMO, and I recall she appeared wistful rather than truly convicted of the truthfulness of what she said.

Same...I'm on my third viewing of the hearing and the more times you watch it the more you see. It's very interesting. The prosecution lead Cindy brilliantly into saying exactly what they needed her to say, it's great to watch, but cindy tells a number of lies as well which are even more telling than what she actually says, can't wait for Lillian glass' thoughts.

I think Cindy & Lee were extensively prepped by the defense and their new strategy is that Cindy is a “crazy grandma,” as she called herself, to explain away what she said in the 911 tapes, the ballistic Morgan depo’s & other damaging statements she’s made for 2 years. And Mason deliberately mentioned that Cindy believes Caylee is alive in his closing statement, it’s all part of this new strategy, imo. But I don’t foresee the jury buying her baloney, they’ll see her combativeness & lying as covering up from the beginning.

And Cindy is absolutely using this ploy to try to get herself off the hook for her criminal behavior - not calling 911 when they knew what the smell was, tampering with evidence (washing the pants etc), bragging that she gave the wrong hairbrush to investigators, lying to local LE, lying to the FBI, collecting donations when they knew Caylee was dead, etc.

Cindy has known, for a long time, that Caylee is deceased. She knew this was a statement that she could make in open court that could not perjure her, because it was stated as an opinion. She has been heavily coached.

She is still all about getting Casey off on the murder charges and keeping up appearances, IMO. She knew what questions she had to answer truthfully, according to past depositions/police interviews. She is concerned about herself and future criminal charges. But, if she can lie (on the stand) and get away with it, she will (ie; I believe Caylee is alive, I don't remember, I respect Casey, etc...).

If she really believed Caylee was alive she would have been searching for her, not trying to frame everyone who had contact with Casey, not providing a huge memorial service for a deceased child, not protesting the release of the autopsy report and not accepting and cremating the remains of a child she reports (now) to not even know.

The letter she wrote to Casey, about the live Caylee tip, was just more BS meant for public consumption. What kind of "loving" mother would write her daughter (if she really believed this daughter was innocent) about unverified "tips" stating her child has been seen alive (long after this daughter has been told of her childs death). The answer, IMO, is a mother who knows her daughter is not innocent and a mother who knows her Grandchild is not alive. MOO.

I'll be interested to see once her daughter is convicted (IMHO she will be) of the murder of her grandaughter---will she continue to do searches?
