You have never come across a person with BPD to this degree? That is surprising to me, really.

Me too!

I have some STORIES!........

I have compassion for the Anthonys, but have been both frustrated and angered by their behavior. In my opinion they will never progress or heal without taking steps towards acknowledging and accepting the gravity of the truth. They are doing a disservice to the many people whom they have smeared, villanized, manipulated, and lied to, but also to themselves and Caylee. They will not just snap out of whatever fog they are in with the passage of time, nor will they be able to come to terms with their daughter's heinous actions and the tragedy of their granddaughter's death without some effort and personal growth. They could maintain their denial and defiance until the end of their days, it would be easily, but they would continue to suffer for it. More than ever I feel that they need a serious intervention and counciling from professionals who are concerned in their psychological well being rather than their public image and the cause of deflecting responsibility from Casey. In my opinion they have to decide what is more important; the memory of Caylee and the future of their family, or professing Casey's innocence and interfering with justice.

Just my opinion of course.

Great post!

Personal growth requires honesty with yourself and effort put into changing. The Anthony's weren't doing either of these before Caylee dissappeared, and they are not going to start in the middle of a major crisis. Crisis=survival mode.

I hope they find peace sometime in the future, but honestly unless they split up and go into different relationships the odds of changing the dynamic that exisits now is hight unlikely.

Oh, I imagine- having to treat them?! uggh! where's that brick wall emotion thingy hidden at?! LOL

If they sue, they open themselves to deposition...and couldn't that possibly be informative. I bet Padilla could come up with some good desposers at this point!

I wouldn't mess with LP. He's been around this block for decades. He is often dismissive of CA because he's dealt with MUCH worse.

Exactly! We may just have to suck it up, for awhile.

At least, we are not Rob.

you can sat that twice and mean it.:yuck:

Haaha! Surely you jest. There "absolutely" can't be any worse than CA.

I'm sure I'm going to get smeared for saying this, but I feel horrible for the Anthonys. They don't know what to do or where to turn, their hearts are broken and their lives are in turmoil. Sure they've both done some things that I've thought OY I wouldn't have done that..but who of us really knows WHAT we'd do in that heart-wrenching situation? Their beloved granddaughter is most likely dead, at the hands of their own daughter, who they also love.

Thank the Lord above I will never have to walk in their shoes.

The whole thing just makes me totally sick. That poor beautiful baby.

I disagree with you re: the As.

That being said... No, no one will smear you, honey!

The whole thing makes us sick, too.

You just have a very good heart. :blowkiss::blowkiss::blowkiss:

I also believe that she is doing this to ensure that KC doesn't confess. As long as CA believes her, KC will carry on the cherade.

MOO

PP, you keep coming up with these GREAT insights!:)

Maybe George can get out but Cindy is stuck with Cindy until the day she dies or she admits her behaviors and does something to change them, she will drag this around damaging everyone she gets involved with.

They can't heal unless they face the truth. It's the only way they can possibly move ahead. I WANT to feel sorry for them, but it's hard because they seem so doggedly determined to live in a fantasy world. They are angry and accusatory toward strangers just there to help, toward law enforcement who are doing the best job they can with the limited info the daughter they raised will provide. They scream at the media. They blame KC's friends, Tim, LE. They threaten to withhold co-operation, interviews and to sue. They direct their ire everywhere ... except toward the source-their lying, cheating, sociopathic daughter. I can't sympathize with people who won't face reality, who abjectly refuse to see the light and who, worst of all, deny justice to their grandchild so they can continue to pretend that everythings alright when it isn't. :furious:

I think they KNOW, and they are just protecting KC.

I agree wholeheartedly. The longer they keep up with their current antics the bleaker the outlook for all involved.

Yep.

Who do these remind ya'll of? Me too!
The eyebrows on the first one are perfect.

Ya know, I get the impression that George isn't so much protecting Casey, but Cindy and what he thinks would be unhealthy to her emotional well being. He seems very concerned for his wife, more so than for his daughter IMO

Sure there is, her creation. ;)

You know, up until a month ago I would have agreed with you....but now? I actually think those 2 women are neck-and-neck for the "Most Evil" award. No Cindy hasn't physically killed anyone (that we know of), but she has a full arsenal of other ways that she hurts and destroys people. I'm just glad she no longer has Caylee in her evil clutches. IMO!

yup - and after her "performance" yesterday, she even got her way with the "Memorial" being changed to a "Prayer Meeting." Lord forbid anyone should think Caylee is not still alive. Reminds me of The Emperor Has No Clothes (children's book.) We must all back her up on this or she will pitch another fit. We must avoid that at all costs.

Yes exactly Lacey and OneLost... the emperor, the elephant in the room, and the telltale heart, all rolled into one... JMO

I was just thinking Casey actually has people that seem to like her despite all of this. Can't come up with one person that has said they just really like Cindy. That takes some talent, losing a popularity contest to a toddler killing liar.
