What I can tell you is what the responsibilities of a Nurse Case Manager are- think of them as an Outpatient Care Coordinator. She would be in charge of CNA's/Home Health aides that go to the patients' homes, as well as authorizing Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists, Respiratory Therapists, getting Doctor's orders, Medication orders and Medical Equipment, and coordinating with insurance companies. RN's also go out to see patients and may be doing IV's, wound care, diabetes care, nutrition in the home, and doing home visits to assess the conditions of the home environment for social (RN's and therapists are mandatory reporters in abuse cases) and safety concerns.
The Agency office is like a home base for coordination of phone calls, case files, medical supplies, medication, etc...
If you have further questions, I am still in touch with one of my Case Managers from another agency, with whom I have mutual friends in common...

Transfering these posts from another thread:
Here's a link to Gentiva's open positions, job duties and qualifications - I didn't find any for "Nurse Case Manager," but they do have Registered Nurse Team Leaders and Care Team Leaders. Just FYI.

That interview that was released...Polisano's...I believe I had read it before (?)...but this time around I zeroed in on the part about Cindy's birthday. Way back when we had wondered why it didn't seem like anything special went on...now I'm reading how it p.o. Cindy...which makes sense. But it also triggered an interview that Cindy had with LE...when they were working on the timeline. She talked about her "special" birthday and I never got the impression that there was anything that upset her. Matter of fact, Cindy's posturing during the interview REALLY upsets ME. I think I would have been sobbing uncontrollably. Oh, that woman makes no sense.

Do we know for sure if this interview was released earlier or not? Baez said today in court he had never seen it until the recent document dump with the letters.

Courtesy of ZsaZsa on the other thread: What on earth is he whining about - "It would have been nice to have her sworn statement (before they deposed her) "- he is referring to Debbie Polisano's interview with LE.
Well Baez, here it is, all you have to do is look -

Thank you, and thank you Zsa Zsa. Do we know when this was released? What I am trying to understand is if indeed the defense DID have this before they deposed her, and just didn't bother to read through what the document dumps included, or if this was released only after his depo as he claimed to the judge?
If he had it in advance of his depo, it is beyond the pale that he stood in open court and implied the state was holding it back, as he said they were in violation of Judge Strickland's order that everything was to be turned over to the defense within ten days of the state having it.

News flash to Jose...you missed your February 1, 2010 deadline to produce the evidence the defense said they have that proves the baby's body was placed in the woods while Casey was jailed.

The transcript was not released until the recent doc dump. A summary of the interview was released a long time ago. But I agree that the transcript should have been released prior to Debbie P's deposition so that she could be questioned about it.

My guess is that it would be different. Hate to be graphic, but a decomposing body would include the odor of decomposing organs, intestinal and urinary tract contents, etc. that a rotting pot roast would not. The overall odor would be a composite of all these things.
Irregardless, there was no meat in that trash. That is a myth that has been busted on the mythbuster's thread. Arpad Vass specifically asked OCSO and they e-mailed back that there was no meat in the trash. The links to pictures of the trash, the e-mails between Vass and OCSO, and a list of trash items are all on the Mythbuster thread.

I've had the same thought. Her daughter and granddaughter haven't been around for more than a month and they find the car with the smell of a dead body in it. I can't think of any normal parent not having a freak out and calling the police from the tow lot. JMO

This is a woman who lives in a constant state of denial- she lies to the media, to us (the public), to LE but she lies BEST to herself.

I agree.

I JUST read that interview today. It, for sure, wasn't released before. Just the summary. It was pretty interesting.

I view her lies to the media, to the public to LE, to the FBI, the the SAO as a coverup either from direct involvement or after the fact.

As for the lies she tells herself, that's for her ego and image she must protect. I gotta tell ya, after observing her plays in actions, CA must have bounds of notebooks to keep track of all that she has said to anyone.

CA, ya blew it on all accounts.

I think she is simply complaining about her daughter not being responsible at this point, not about Caylee. IMO, no one is overjoyed to support a family and raise their own grandchild if their daughter seems in a position to do so and is shirking that responsibility. Doesn't mean she doesn't love Caylee and do everything she can to support her and make her happy.

Had she been any kind of true loving parent she'd have put an end to that behavior LOOOOng ago. She created that helplessness, she wanted them under her roof.. cuz really, who IS Cindy besides Caylee's grandma and Casey's mother and (according to her) "best friend" and George's (unhappy and betrayed) wife? Even her mother says she lived for Caylee. It's the resentment that nobody sees her sacrafises (yeah I can't spell), her selflessness, her "loyalty" that causes her to complain about the behaviors that she can't stop because who is she if she stops them? It goes round and round. mo

The interview with Debbie P., combined with Casey's cell phone records after she met Tony confirm what many posters suspected...that there was growing tension and resentment between Cindy and Casey over Casey not doing her share of caring for Caylee.

Cindy took a week off to hang out with the girls, but ended up with just Caylee. The cell phone records, pings and Tony's statements show that whole week Casey was either OFF with Tony or on her cell phone talking to and texting Tony. For the next two weeks there was more of the same and Cindy had to call Casey on two Fusion nights at 3 a.m. to get Casey to come home.

Add that to what Debbie and Shirley say about Cindy seeing a counselor who recommended that Cindy file for custody and it is evident that Cindy did NOT think Casey was the "mother of the year".

If Cindy and George had been directly involved and written the kidnapping script, the carseat, diaper bag and Mama doll would not have been left in the car and Caylee would have been disposed of better. They would have invented a more likely-to-happen kidnapping scenario. And there wouldn't have been a need for Cindy to track down Casey where Casey was happily hiding out.

For sure Cindy would not have gone to work blathering about the stinky car with the car seat still in it. At that point she was probably hoping somebody would reassure her that those things weren't anything to worry about.

Once Cindy's co-workers instead forced Cindy to go home to deal with things, Cindy's way of dealing was to go rut-roh...better wash the pants.

Unfortunately for Casey, the most damaging evidence against her comes from Cindy and George who obviously are doing their best to cover-up and save her guilty (imo) hide.

The official transcript was released in June- I don't know when she was deposed, but her comments have been on the Internet for ever, Baez must not study the case very much or watch TV-it's no secret what she said to Cindy and what she thought of the situation- here is an example from last year - http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,481445,00.html

OT but also of interest in this article is Dr. Baden talking about Kronk describing seeing the bag and what they found in December and that Dr. Baden believes the body was there the whole time, basing his opinion on what Kronk reported.... No wonder they are after Kronk.

Page 5, Line 14...Cindy is a black and white sort of person...

This gives me more insight into Cindy's mind. Either it's black or white with no grey areas!

So is this why Cindy states, if Casey did this, she would have to have had help??? That's not black or white to me, that shows some grey area, doesn't it?

It's truly exhausting trying to keep up with these two woman and how their minds work. I do feel and believe Cindy truly knows the truth but is more wanting to save prisoners life than loose both girls...but does she realize she's lost them both a long time ago??? I don't understand why they don't beg for ICA to come clean and save her own life, instead of placing innocent people in jeopardy of loosing their own freedoms..same for the defense team!

I also see psycological abuse is still very active between these two. One is the clothing Cindy chooses, the other is the long hair, letting her hair grow just as the prisoner has. Prisoner's hair growth is due to not being able to get it cut but what's Cindy's excuse for the new buster brown look???

Justice for Caylee

TWA....

Looks to me (from link) that this Debbie P interview was released in doc dump on January 21 2009?
