Cindy's (draft?) email to Casey--computer forensics report

Excellent point. And the towing company was right by their house! What are the possible explanations for a towing company sending you a certified letter besides your car being towed? Which car could not be accounted for? Which members of the family were "missing" according to Cindy? It just seems like they took a very casual approach to this certified letter.

ETA: As a member of a dysfunctional family (like many of us), I wonder if this is just another example of something I've seen many times: you KNOW something is terribly wrong and you just put off "officially" finding out about it for as long as possible so you can delay the inevitable tears, fights, etc.

Yes!

I wonder though, did CA call the tow company on the 14th, discover the letter was in reference to KC's vehicle, hence the calls, alerts, texts and email.

Their concern for Caylee had perhaps reached a crescendo they could no longer ignore!

"What the hell is going on? I've tried not to bug you to death but I still haven't gotten to see pictures of Caylee or gotten to speak to her. It's been over a month now. Am I ever going to see her again?"

"I'm not sure how much longer I can continue on this day to day course. I'm going freakin nuts not knowing whats going on with you. I had a breakdown at work, can't take much more stre..."

This is what Lee refers to in his convo with KC from jail. "...stuff you've been putting mom through for the last four or five weeks."
CA was living a nightmare. My granddaughter (same age as Caylee) has lived in my home with her father for 90 percent of her life. I can imagine exactly what CA was going through. What I don't understand is what prevented her from finding KC earlier? I see from her statement that she's trying not to bug KC to death. Is that what kept her from seeking KC out earlier? Why? I would have been all over the world to find my son and granddaughter had he done this to me. Bug him or not, I would have found him and a lot sooner than a month later. How long would this have gone on if the car hadn't been towed? I don't understand. Red flags everywhere and she was trying not to "bug" KC?

Reading this makes me think CA really did believe KC was working. I thought she probably suspected she wasn't working but chose to ignore it. Or, was she just testing KC because she knew she didn't work at Universal?

Maybe Cindy didn't want to "bug" KC because KC was saying "I'm her mom and I can take care of her by myself! Give us space!"

I wondered also if the "Universal" chit-chat was a test. Maybe CA read up as much as she could about current news at Universal and then thought she would see if KC knew anything about it.

No, this is old stuff! Somehow it slipped by us...it was discussed a little bit in the general "doc dump" threads at the time, but then apparently we all forgot about it.

I was just racking my brains while reading the "no red flags" thread, thinking, where oh where did I read something from Cindy about how she couldn't sleep, didn't know who to believe, was going crazy, having a breakdown....
I'm glad you brought it out. I've never seen it before today, thank you.

CA must have seen it. How can she say there were no red flags if she knpws they have this? Will she testify in court that there were no red flags? Amazing.

Hmmm...I would love to see CA's phone records. If she called, I bet you anything she wouldn't tell George until she had tried to get KC to "explain".

ETA for clarity: "Explain" = "Lie"

Previous communications between KC and CA on July 14 (this is after KC has run out of excuses for being in Jacksonville, IIRC):

7:35 am Cindy texts KC ("Remember me?")

3:33 pm KC calls the Anthony house--1 minute. Is this what Cindy means about her purposely calling when Cindy's not home?

5:49 pm Anthony house calls KC--she lets it roll over into voice mail (surprise surprise)

6:10 pm KC checks voice mail.

6:11 pm KC texts Cindy (content unknown)

8:30 pm Cindy texts KC ("Can u call me soon? i ll be going 2 bed soon.")

Then, as I mentioned above, there are the 2 late-night myspace alerts, which could be messages from Cindy, with the call from the Anthony house to KC that she ignores in between those 2 myspace alerts.

Hasn't Cindy claimed that Casey was calling her every day? Not that we can believe a word she says.

What is this "draft"? When was it released? I've never read this before and have been following from early days...Can someone please provide a context???

first time seeing it here, too! Quite the gem!

like jjgram, it makes my heart hurt just reading it. CA's pain & confusion is so evident...raw...vulnerable. She realizes, in fact almost concedes, that KC is driving this train and that she has little choice but to go along for the ride. :(

like others, it seems to be the most honest communication yet.

if CA were to read this, I'd tell her - jump off of the Anthony Reasonable Doubt Media Tour and just be real about your pain. like this email. This is your best hope for saving your daughter from the DP. Give us a REASON to want the jury to impose the LOP sentence. You don't have to tell me that YOU believe KC's guilty, just don't keep going on with the contradictions and trying to sell us a load of pure BS, like you never saw any 'red flags'. Stop treating the public like total idiots and becoming outraged when you're called out on it. Stop with the insane accusations against good, innocent people. Be real about your pain. At least the jury might have sympathy for you and GA and want to spare YOU anymore pain. KC's burned wayyyy too many bridges. The best you can hope for is that the jury has sympathy for you and GA. The jury is gonna base their guilty/not guilty verdict on the evidence. You guys need to focus on giving the public a reason to want to not impose the DP, if she is convicted.

moo -- stepping down from my soapbox now. lol

can't sleep, stupid hot flashes wake me up then I start thinking about you and Caylee. Dad said he went to work at 9am and he got home at 630p, he said he did not come home in between. I don't know who or what to believe anymore. You've told me everyday that you were going to call me and you haven't but you choose to call when you know I won't be home. What the hell is going on? I've tried not to bug you to death but I still haven't gotten to see pictures of Caylee or gotten to speak to her. It's been over a month now. Am I ever going to see her again? Are you still with Jeff? Are you going back to work? I saw on the news that Anheiser Busch is being bought by a foreign company that does not want the theme parks only the beer part of the Co. What is that all about they're talking Disney or Universal may get to buy the theme parks. I thought Universal already merged with them? I'm not sure how much longer I can continue on this day to day course. I'm going freakin nuts not knowing whats going on with you. I had a breakdown at work, can't take much more stre

Dad said he went to work at 9am and he got home at 630p, he said he did not come home in between. Makes me think that KC had a phone call between herself and CA in which KC claimed to have seen GA at the house.

I thought Universal already merged with them? Clearly shows that CA is very skeptical about where KC claimed to have worked.

But wasn't it KC's car? If they knew their own cars were accounted for why would they care if KC's car was towed? I think locating Caylee was important at the time, not the car.
I only mean that if I got a certified letter from a tow yard and I could deduce fairly easily that it was about my troublesome daughter's car, I probably wouldn't make tracks to get the letter.
Just more hassle for them, waiting in line at the PO then taking 2 drivers to get the car etc.,etc. I'd leave the letter for my daughter to deal with. but of course things took a different direction almost immediately.

It might have been because they thought she had supposedly driven to Jacksonville in it with Caylee and here it was sitting in a local tow yard. I would hope that would be a red flag even to CA. They might have been curious if it had been totalled or something else that could have impacted their granddaughter if she had been in it. IIRC, the notice also said that if the car wasn't picked up within 30 days it would go to auction. The two week delay in their response meant they had only two weeks before they lost the car they actually owned. Maybe they just thought it was an important part of the puzzle and maybe they thought it would be leverage in finally getting KC to respond to them.

When TL went to pick up Casey at Amscot she had a bag of freezer food (chicken and popsicles)that he said probably came from the A home.

Cindy may have gone into her freezer to take food out to thaw and noticed it was missing and knew she nor George had used it.

I also believe this is the type of scenario that led to CA discussing that GA said he wasn't there and didn't take whatever was CA had noticed missing.

Winnie-the-Pooh blanket possibly ???

KC did get a "myspace alert" on her cell phone at 11:30 pm on July 14th, followed by a call from the Anthony house that she let roll over to voice mail (but no message was left), followed by another "myspace alert" at 12:12 am. I wonder if this "can't sleep" message was one of the myspace alerts?

-- respectfully snipped

i don't know a darn thing about computer forensics, but the path says it is a yahoo email. nothing about myspace in there.

I'm struck by several things.

This whole communication is very KC-esque.

For one she goes from zero to sixty and back again emotionally. Like KC does in her jailhouse visits with family. So many different emotions all telescoped into a small space. With odd, non-sequiturs. Her sudden jump into local economy small talk reminded me of the jail witness who saw KC on Dec. 11 and said she suddenly started talking about football out of the blue. Very inappropriate and OT.

She also is not afraid to pull a dramatic sympathy card whether it is true or not (her "breakdown" at work"). KC, using a supposed heart attack GA had, to back out of a commitment. I don't think it is unfair of us to doubt almost as much as what CA says as we doubt her daughter. Her interview on CBS this week and the preceding deposition pretty much cinch that.

And also, they both are the queens of revisionist history, of pre-dating the verbal checks they write. If it is true this was written on the 14th or 15th, it seems a lot like the CYA text messages KC started sending announcing to all that Caylee was "missing".

It is so hard to put together timelines of any substance when two of the main players make official statements in which they think nothing of speaking "mistruths" or "half-truths" as long as they justify the means.

KC may be a stranger to truth, but CA thinks she gave birth to it.

Maybe KC wrote it, like when she faked thhose other e-mails ???

I did not think this thru yet, but putting it out there for others...

My question is, Why do they continue to stand beside her and support her? It just makes them look foolish and gullible.

It would be fine if they supported her in parental ways, like, visiting her in jail, talking to her about redemption, about confession and forgiveness, talking to her while she was in their house and making her come clean and tell the truth. If they were concerned for her eternal soul or general welfare and wanted her to understand they still loved her, fine. But they go much further than that. They blame other people for various things up and through the murder of their grandchild. They get angry at people whose lives their daughter screwed up when she sucked them into this mess. They proclaim her innocence in the face of staggering evidence to the contrary. I believe they are now lying to make her look better. Without getting to the bottom of what really happened, they talk about how wonderful the woman is who murdered their grandchild and talk about how proud they are. Yet...they don't visit her in jail.

I'm like you Pink, totally unfamiliar with this important piece of writing from Cindy.

We got spanked for lying, big or small as the lie may have been. I grew to really disrespect people who are dishonest at work or personally. I think that they created a monster ,as it were, that they allowed her to be unaccountable all along, and they were a horrible example of moral character. The fake e mails she made aren't much different than the lying and covering up George did for years with the scams he got sucked into and hiding his gambling. It would be pretty disingenuous for them to pretend to be shocked and outraged when this is the norm in their family from jump. Even so, hearing adults use the words "mistruths and halftruths" is like Bill Clinton saying, "It depends on what the meaning of IS is!" I
t shows the person has no shame to be able to say that with a straight face. If I tried to run something like Dad I didn't really lie, I just told a mistruth by my folks, I would have gotten "Something to cry about!" LOL

Perhaps she called from her office ......... where, she then had her "breakdown!"
