Does anyone have access to a street directory 1996-97 for Perth?

Thoughts on Peter Weygers, after reading the book: Weygers was treated unfairly. He didn't do himself any favors and the treatment he received from business people, other politicians and the media is the price he paid for his behavior . But police abuse of authority was unfair and unacceptable.

Thoughts on John Quigley, WA's Shadow Attorney General, after reading the book: He is, hands down, the most compelling political figure I have seen. He should be given authority to run the Claremont case from this point forward.

My money is on trail bike riding - very popular then and now in all of these locations (during daylight hours!) and a good cover for scouting locations.

PS: Also one must wear a helmet - a neat disguise? Banks think so...
Yeppers, though I don`t think the csk picked up anyone using a motorbike. You know how those Claremont chicks are; They`d either fall off the effer or fill up the stack hat with unspent wine & finger food... :/

Greendevil, I can get access to electoral roll records of that period, within the inner-most electorates.

greendevil- i second the motocross suggestion.

and/or somebody involved in property development or civil engineering industries, considering the disposal site areas have begun to be devolped, and gnangara pines(assuming that is where SS is hidden) is right next to the ellenbrook area which has popped up around the late 90's early 00's.

I've wondered this too- but only the vicinity of Wellard is being developed (further north up Wellard rd and further west down Miller rd)- not where JR was dumped- which would make more sense.

What is the likelihood of development crews finding bones anyways?
How closely would one be looking when clearing blocks of land? Those wellard sites have been raised up for foundations too, so only during the clearing stage would they be likely to find anything (if SS was somewhere there too.

Dirtbiking, illegal rubbish dump sites, places to do burn outs? CG site was a dump site, and I wouldnt be suprised if the end of Miller Rd (near the hydrant) has been used as an illegal dump site.
There was a large fire on the East side of Miller Rd x Wellard rd - back around 2004/5ish- we didn't find anything when mopping up

Not really, it just goes to show how secluded the area is as young hoons go there to do burn outs. Have a look at street view, there's burn outs everywhere up and down Woolcott Road.

I came across the Gerald Ross (Gerard?) cross when scrambling on my dirtbike through the Stakehill Rd pine plantation at @ 1999. Now re Gnangara Pine plantation. There are only a few roads that can be accessed by 2wd. The Remote Viewing Group in Perth came up with some interesting stuff when they 'looked' into the cases.

Switching the subject to ask some questions from the book. In August 2004, police served a search warrant on the Irwin Rd house where SR lives. The items related to Jane are listed as:

(Location 3491 , Chapter 60 )
Clothing and jewellery belonging to Jane Louise Rimmer, namely blue denim Billabong jeans, long-sleeve dark-blue stretch top, short jacket in blue corduroy, elastic-sided black shoes and a small handbag with a long strap.

Jane is wearing a white or light-colored top in the MM video. Which is correct--the video or DM's report of the search warrant?

I have seen posters questioning why the actress who portrayed Jane in the re-enactment was wearing a dark top.

Is it possible Jane had two shirts and the light-colored one was found at the disposal site. This could explain the early report of clothing found nearby and how police attained vehicle fibers.

I don't have a link for you atm, but from memory there was a statement that the CCTV footage was distorted in colour and height... Perhaps that's why the shirt appears lighter?

This is the description of clothing worn by Jane Rimmer; detailed in newspaper article 12 June 1996 P3.

They seemed to have gotten the shirt detail incorrect because they described it as a t-shirt; although they may have missed out 'long sleeved' because the actress in the CIA doc re-enactment was wearing a long-sleeved navy blue top and it appears to me to be made of material similar to a t-shirt. In the cctv footage the shirt Jane was wearing definitely appears to be long-sleeved.
Interesting that Jane was 167cm tall and her disposal site was at 167 degrees.

Papertrail I very much appreciate your contributions to the thread, especially where you have provided supporting material.

Also, along with Bart you provide appropriate and very useful moderation where some posters have made unfounded assertions. Sometimes in their enthusiasm I am sure they just forget to flag its "IMO"

Please honour your friend's wishes and continue your contributions.

Thanks Basilisk.

Thought I'd check on aerial photographs at Landgate and couldn't believe my luck. Aerial photo dated 19/6/85 shows the servo in Mosman Park (on western corner of Victoria St) has what appears to be a yellow vehicle parked (at right of blue / green vehicle) in an area that would (possibly) be where staff would park. I think this servo was a Golden Fleece servo.

Found a government gazette (for 1979) online that used to detail the (after hours) rostered operating hours for servos and it lists this servo as a Golden Fleece. Could have changed brands by mid 1985 though.
