I

Everywhere LW is referred to, he is described as a public servant. PW is described as former mayor of Claremont. They have not and will not use 'public servant' to describe PW.

That doesn't alter the FACT that PW was a public servant.

You ask "why you still rate LW so highly, especially given recent developments in the case?" Simply because there has been nothing released by police that states they have ruled him out. The statement by police near the end of the 2008 CIA doco, they say they ruled out a public servant. Peter Weygers was a public servant and I think they were referring to him not Williams. And the article that Bret wrote recently re DNA, that didn't state they had ruled out Williams either. I think other news reporters are spreading the furphy when they state Williams has been ruled out.
RSBM BBM ^

Bret Christian mentions in the December 5, 2015 article that the DNA profile eliminated LW.

it sounds to me they have DNA if so this means every person in australia that has committed a serious crime [12 months or more jail time] has to be ruled out , also every suspect on their radar can be eliminated, taxi drivers cleared and just about every body ever implicated on web sleuths cleared [except for crack pots dobbing neighbours or x boy friends in ]
this serial killer is either way to smart for the cops he doesnt live here or hes brown bread[dead]

If only this was true Silver!

The Sunday Times revealed today that serious criminal cases including murder, rape and assault could be going unsolved because police have failed to do basic forensic work.

Probably a psych and/or a psycho.

(Location 1217, Chapter 22, The Devil's Garden)

Neil Fearis receives a visit from Perth GP Dr Andrew Dunn. He has information to pass on, he says, that has been given to him by a female patient whom he does not name. He has gone to the police with the information, he tells Fearis, but they have not taken him seriously. This patient has told him that Ciara is being held captive in a house where black magic rituals will take place to appease the gods at the autumnal equinox. Come the Easter long weekend, she will be offered up as a human sacrifice, like the sacrificial lamb. Fearis, too, passes the information to the Macro taskforce.

The sacrifice was supposed to happen at The Spot in Yanchep. Neil Fearis hired Mike Buckley, a former cop turned PI to tail the female patient around-the-clock, but nothing happened.

It was interesting how Dr. Dunn came up a few different times in Debi Marshall's research. I guess just coincidence.

Interesting additional coincidence that he is into karate, including belonging to a karate club at UWA.

on 19 June 1996 (wednesday) a Canadian tourist described as a 22yo woman left Hip-E Club which was situated near the cnr of Oxford and Newcastle St Leederville at 3am, walking towards central Perth, was abducted from corner of Roe and Newcastle Streets and taken to an area in Mt Lawley. She fought off her attacker who was described as of medium building, 187cms tall with shoulder-length brown hair and driving a light coloured vehicle. He wore a checked shirt, blue jeans and white shoes ( so he belonged to the white-shoe brigade ).

Very similar description to Karrakatta guy !

this abduction, as far as I can tell, was only reported in South Australia and NSW on 20 June 1996.

I certainly hope the task force looked further into this abduction.

The part of your writing that I take most notice of is the word "allegedly". Given no details have ever been released about victim injury I take the socalled alleged connection with a missing tool with a grain of salt. I have recently read a newspaper article (from memory The Age) in which the reporter had detailed 'no gun shot or knife wounds and that it was believed that both recovered victims had been strangled.'

Allegation- a claim or assertion that someone has done something illegal or wrong, typically one made without proof.

2 Web sleuth members (whom I have quoted in previous posts) have made the allegation. I'm taking it with a grain of salt too, but it's worth discussing just as much as any point you raise.

You sleuths are not parking down by the river re the hottie. You can`t walk the local walk & get the feeling that she sends. And you don`t know a tunnel when you see one...

Papertrail, figure that one.... :)

If you do, please clue me in :)

Have you tried to find out how old he is?

QUOTE please post this publicly as I am interested to read it END QUOTE.

It will take time to prepare ETA early 2016.

I have recently read info that LW's position was described as 'administrative manager'; I wonder what that entails given that Main Roads hold sole responsibility for the arterial road network in Western Australia https://www.mainroads.wa.gov.au/Doc... 2015 - High Def Version.RCN-D15^23377998.PDF.

I also wonder if his job description could be described as 'IT' related; possible connection to the 2007 attempted abduction of a girl on Stirling Highway Mosman Park in 2007 -- police description of the offender was 'sexually deviant IT worker'.

Do Main Roads also control traffic signals; because if they do then he could have had a very good idea of timing ?

I am also very interested to see that 'route 71' is an arterial road system in Perth that starts at cnrs of STIRLING HIGHWAY to, CURTIN AVENUE AND ERIC STREET COTTESLOE and the far northern section turns into Marmion Avenue from which Pipidinny Road could be accessed in 1996, although it was a track back (in 1996) however subsequently fully bitumenized. If you turn right onto at the intersection of Curtin and Eric another State route would take you to very close to the Woolcoot Road disposal site which could be access via Millar Road.

If LW did reside at Sea View Heights in Cottesloe, that is listed online as being 86 Marine Parade, Cottesloe. I just thought why not check the degrees to JR's site from there and it is 161 degrees with CG site being 351; I checked this because I have never believed the 167 / 347 degrees between Jane and Ciara to be the be all and end all and far too 'easy'. I think the killer deliberately did this to put police off his trail and / or pattern.

Whilst we are talking about JR and CG, how many days were there between their abductions; was it 279 ? How many 'driving' kilometers was it between disposal sites; 1997 newspaper reports say 86kms and 78 (as the bird flies). I believe more attention and discussion needs to take place regarding the choice of disposal site locations; why was Jane's disposal site chosen ? Could Sarah Spiers be located at 167 degrees ex 86 Marine Parade or 347 from her (currently unknown) disposal site to 86 Marine? She may have been his 1st victim after he moved into 86 Marine. No drivers' license at the time (but that means nothing in the scheme of things) ; was she held ? He obtained his license on January 30 1996.

I am aware that LW has a supposed alibi for the night of CG's abduction and subsequent murder, which was supported by his mother. LW was receiving intensive psychiatric treatments at this time and that shows me he would have had access to medications to ensure his mother / father slept more heavily and that could be why they didn't hear his vehicle leave.

If LW is responsible, then he likes to play numbers games; Marshall mentions that he was gifted at mathematics.

Also very interested to find out that LW's University connection was at Curtin Uni where he had enrolled in psychology and is believed to have attended the same lectures that Julie Cutler did; LW completed only one full semester. I know for a fact that whilst Julie attended Curtin, she was living in East Vic Park and moved to Freo after she had completed her studies. Her Fiat 125 was discovered floating in surf near Cottesloe Groyne ? No personal items from the vehicle were ever washed up on the shoreline.

Did Julie Cutler attend Hollywood High ? Her mother Robyn Elizabeth Cutler died on 4 January 1976 and last suburb at Karrakatta records is listed as Wembley; is that in the catchment area for Hollywood High ?

If LW is connected to Julie's disappearance then has he stalked her to her workplace at the Parmelia Hilton ? Her last sighting was at 12.30am.

Interesting that police had revisited the Cottesloe 'Cutler vehicle disposal' scene whilst they were looking close at LW (1998) and were searching bush (ocean side) at corner of Beach and Marine Parade and were asking locals if there were any 'strange smells' in the area in 1988.

Police had also requested her father supply them with Julie's diaries /notes etc, which he did.

JC went to Iona.

I know my local stalker originally from Brisbane, originally from Perth before that, went on about 161 degrees etc. All sorts of angles actually. She was totally full of it. It was all totally made up. Even mentioned she went to school with the girls from the Claremont locale. Someone questioned her out re Iona & she could not come out with the answers, which she should have if she went there as she said. LW is not the CSK by the way. You may as well go back to daytime television or maybe seek a job. This won`t be solved, unless someone comes up with something so compelling to show he is still out there. Maybe it will pop up somewhere.. Maybe I`m just sitting on the fence re this. But I doubt anything will show up. Not with all this dna they say they have..

  • #694
LW didn`t have the hatred for rich stuck up females from the Claremont Quarter as the CSK did. The CSK came from the same mould as Eric Edgar Cooke albeit late 60`s transported to the mid 90`s. Cooke had a hair lip. Was probably made fun of. In fact he was. People spurned him. He decided to take them to task about it all, & those who humiliating him. JC case in 1988 was most likely a jealous ex boyfriend. It was not Claremont at all. Now; It is quite simply that some of the society girls at Claremont didn`t take a shine to the csk at all. And maybe, maybe he got them back. But not the original girls who maybe arced him up.(ones that ignored him) He probably never saw them again. Might have tried to find them at the OBH again. But looks darn likely he sought someone suitable.

A woman has described her apparent attempted abduction in central Claremont the year before the first known attack by the Claremont serial killer.
The woman gave the POST details of the unreported incident following the paper’s publication of new evidence that police hope will lead them to the killer (POST, December 5).She said she believed the incident had happened in 1994, when she was 18 and out on the town in Claremont with her husband and brother. The teenager found herself alone in a big carpark late at night when a man approached and asked for her help in finding his car keys.He said he thought he had lost them down the back of the driver’s seat of his car, a white Holden Commodore

She opened the front door of the car, but the stranger said it would be much easier to find the keys from the back seat. She got in the back seat and was groping for the keys when she felt the presence of the man behind her, and very close to her.At that moment her brother, who had been urinating in a secluded spot, turned up and said: “What the hell are you doing?”She said she and her brother quickly moved on and she did not see if the car had left. The POST has passed on to police other details, including a description of the man and the identity of the teenager, which it has chosen not to publish.“It was weird but nothing really happened,” the woman said. “I did not see at the time that it might have been significant, and did not report it.” It was not until a year later that another teenager who had been to a nightclub in central Claremont was abducted, blindfolded, tied up and driven to Karrakatta Cemetery, where she was sexually assaulted by the man now known as the Claremont serial killer. She survived (“Fourth serial killer victim”, POST, October 17).The next year, 1996, Sarah Spiers (18) was abducted from a Claremont street after visiting the same nightclub, followed a few months later by Jane Rimmer (23) and Ciara Glennon (27) in 1997.While there is no firm evidence to connect the car-key man to the serial killings, experts in the field say it is very likely the killer would have been familiar with Claremont and responsible for other abductions or attempted abductions before and after the known “Claremont series”.

Can't have been a 95 white holden commodore, but still interesting. Girl must have been absolutely trashed/guy must have appeared extremely non-threatening.

Its looking more and more likely that the case won't be solved due to Police incompetence. They narrowed the focus on Taxi drivers during the most critical part of the investigation. The Police got a partial DNA profile from a CSK victim and failed to test it against the Karrakatta DNA profile which not only proved the partial was from the CSK (and not a random person), it also now gave the Police the full CSK DNA profile, and that the cases were linked and there was another fresh avenue of investigation that could have been explored to narrow the focus during those critical days. This was despite an FBI agent telling WAPOL the cases were linked.

It is no wonder they are using familial DNA testing, it is more than like the Claremont serial rapist has either not been tested, or hasnt been compared yet to the Karrakatta DNA profile. Thus if its unlikely he has comitted a crime since, and if recent news paper articles are to be beleived WAPOL has failed to test over 2/3rds of the criminals it has dragged in, so even if the Claremont rapist was dragged in for another crime, then there is about a 66% + possibility that he has not had his DNA taken. By using Familial DNA testing they are banking on a relative of the claremont serial rapist committing some severe crime in the future, they probably have conceded they lost their opportunity at the beginning of the case. If the serial rapist hasnt got a family/children, or is foreign, then he is likely to still yet be identified with this method. I wonder how many foreign data bases have been compared? And which countries. It would be also good to know how many Police or Police family/extended family members have been tested given the coincidence of the make of the vehicle being similar to Police cars at the time. We know the public thought it was a police car at the beginnng before WAPOL directed the investigation, and public towards Taxis. Convenient given some reports of people offering lifts in the area were claiming association with the Police.

Australias most expensive criminal case is a rapist who got lucky despite having two different cars identified, possibly caught on camera, could of committed up to 6-7 differet attacks in the same area, bungled unwilling victims into the back of a Van/station wagon and possibly choking them to death at the cemetery before dumping them in random spots 30-50km away from his home.

When people say the area Don Spiers beleives Sarahs dumping ground is, is that being Karnup because of the call he received? (did they ever attempt to trace it, private line, pay phone?) Is that what Debbie Marshall beleives, and where does the Karnup link come from? Where is the Karnup pine plantation? Or stakehill pine plantation? Could the dump area be the rockingham regional lakes running through Karnup and south of Paganoni road?

I wonder what will come out of a coronial inquest? Alot of egg on alot of face.
I think its time for some accountability and one was done on the case before any more Police incompetence destroys it any further.

WA has a history of violent murders/abductions resulting in the perpetrator being identified early in the investigation but then cast aside and ignored after the perpetrator sells them a convincing story, i wonder why this is so prevalent in cases, some recent high profile ones: Wark, Dorrough. Seems to follow a far too prevalent pattern. Makes me wonder about Gerrard Ross, and Felicia Wilson, who knows who they identified early and let off.

Could cross-matching panel van and station wagon owners help police find the Claremont serial killer?
Police would not say – but a POST reader says it could be worth chasing.Earlier this month the POST re-vealed police know the killer drove a white mid-1990s Holden Commodore VS Series 1, most likely a station wagon, to abduct and murder at least two of his victims (“Two new clues to serial killer”, December 5).“Cops say they can’t match all the people who had a Commodore wagon of that model at that time,” the reader said.“But the first [now connected] rape was prior to that model [with the matching fibres] being released, and the victim reported a panel van, not a station wagon.“Hence a cross match of panel van owners in that year against station wagon owners in the later period should narrow the field.”The reader said checking State Revenue records for stamp duty paid over a short period by the same owner on different vehicles could yield results.

“WAPOL is not going to comment on a reader’s letter based on a story that we didn’t contribute to,” a police spokeswoman said.“Notwithstanding that, WA Police does not comment on what operational lines of inquiry it is or isn’t following for active investigations.”
