I agree with what your saying. I am just going with what are typically the mostly likely scenarios.

If the target was a child to abduct my assumption would be he is a sex predator and not delusional. There are easier targets to abduct is all I was getting at if his target was a child. I don’t think he is a simple sexual predator. The location seems way wrong for that.

I am leaning more into a mental health issue and some type of interaction happened and the suspect killed the parents in some type of fit of rage. Or its a thrill kill?

The big empty bag is a big question?? Why he have it?

All IMO based on not much information.
Welcome to Websleuths, by the way.

I just had a recollection of a case in Australia where the perp stole a girl from a camping tent while her parents slept next her. He was delusional, living in a fantasy world, in a home full of dolls.

I am NOT saying that is what is happening here, but that sometimes weird stuff happens.

Sometimes, unfortunately, it's hard to assign a reason why some kill. They didn't deserve to die. The girls should have their parents right now, and not be haunted or possibly traumatized with the last memory of them alive. I really hope there was enough DNA or blood at the scene where they can make a match and arrest quickly, again by adding FBI it will expedite it faster and offer more resources.

Odd, the things you notice on first impression...

I see a feminine posture/stance, as if this were a young woman pausing at a trailside verge to check her phone and view the scenery.

How big is that long-sleeved T, 4X? It's so, so long.

Incredibly thankful this photo was located and released.

I thought the same thing. This person seems to have a very feminine posture and build. Even the feet seem quite small. Of course it could be a man with very gracile anatomy, but my first thought was that it looks a lot like a woman.

I agree about the feminine posture/stance.

The first thing I thought when I saw this picture is it is one of a woman. If they didn’t have a sketch of his face, I would think they are looking for a female.

I've lightened the image up in case it helps at all.

I agree with previous comments about it looking like the suspect was wearing wading shoes/gaiters (the left gaiter appears to have fallen down) and a camelbak-type backpack. Whoever this is, it looks like they were prepared to be out in the elements.

I would think to be prepared for the elements in July in Arkansas would be lighter weight clothes and not layers of empty bags? We know he left in the car, so he's likely not sleeping in the park and in need of nighttime warmth.

I find his attire very odd for the summer weather.

Could this be the duffel bag with the stripes?
Stripes look right but their location looks wrong. Maybe the other side has stripes like his?

I think it is this larger bag and he has it upright and the striped end is sagging down.
Could be? I see another set of stripes on his right side down low.
This is what is hanging that looks like his shirt is too big? This bag is a huge hockey bag.
In the video at the link you can see the rectangle slot for an ID card on one end.
This bag is quite large enough to put a child inside. Yikes!

The witnesses would know if the suspect was a female.
Right, I was just talking about the picture of him standing, from behind my first thought was female.

Gaitors - or are his trousers too long and bunched up over his boots?

I feel as if he's watching someoke or something on the trail below him
Yikes, that gives me the creeps. But you could be right.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I totally agree. Those fringe type cases are the exceptions. Most crimes are not the fringe type cases. Until we get more information its all just speculation.

Agreed. It reminds me of the gear bags my kids had for soccer in the early 2000's. it was a duffle that had straps so it could be worn like a backpack. That was my first impression when I saw this picture. The other straps could be a camelbak water pack.

Clothing: could be tech clothing made to dry fast, wick sweat and keep you cooler. Also could be keeping covered to avoid ticks, sun exposure or my personal thought: avoid tattoo identification.

Thanks for telling me about most crimes. I might have to start paying attention. ;)

Shout out to the thread for ID'ing the t-shirt. Impressive.

To me the left trouser looks tighter and less shiny than the right. If a gaiter is pulled up over the right leg, but rolled down to the ankle on the left, that would potentially explain why the two legs looks a bit different.

Locals who live near the park stated to the media that LE has not contacted them about their outdoor camera footage.

That single-piece shoulder strap on the backpack looks kind of similar to the one on some of the Osprey Daylite models.
