The ALPR system should prompt an alert if a plate is obscured and can’t be read.
Can you tell us more about this? What is your source? What if the ALPR is not owned by LE but by one of the gross private companies that just suck up our data, would it still alert and to who?

I believe those who sense something is "off" in a person especially might notice the eyes.

I once was *very* innappropriately touched from behind in a Walmart. I whipped around & our eyes locked just a brief moment then he was gone. But I just *knew* there were bodies & there would be more. I insisted so vehemently the police had a sketch artist render a sketch. Many years later a serial killer gone dormant reappeared & started killing again. Yes, he was my sexual assaulter,. His sentencing was televised nationwide. BTK. Sketch was still on file.

BTK! I am so sorry that this happened to you, @OneLove, and applaud that you reported the assault and insisted that LE take you seriously. I only wish they could have found him before he started killing again.

Head down, walking fast, gave a death stare, out of place
(Snipped by me)

The death stare of the Arkansas killer certainly would have focused my attention on his eyes. Fear has a way of heightening the senses.

Eyes can be windows to the soul.

You are so right. Thank goodness many eyes reveal kindness and love. The BTKs of the world are rare, but we should never forget they do exist among us—so we must trust our instincts about being in danger.

He didnt even really bother to dress and gear up like a credible outdoors hiker.
Not only no customary hiking dress (who would dream of hiking Arkansas woods in that get up?), but also no exaggerated "Rugged Outdoors survival expert" look either.

Nor does he look tacti-cool:

No actual military issue or military style gear packs, no say visible larger than needed fixed blade knife, no camouflage, surplus military cap, and no apparent belt pouches for cool "this and that" stuff such as a first aid kit replete with EMT scissors etc.

Thinking the wanna'be military / SWAT / fantasy "Merc" possibility could be fading.

@arielilane

Wow, now that you mention it, the stance coupled with the possibility of fuller hips does seem vaguely feminine. Though I can also respect @stormymama not getting any feminine vibes from the person.

Honestly, and going waaaay out on a limb that is creaking and breaking.....

This perpetrator looks similar in regards to ambiguous masculine verse feminine stances, weird cobbled together "gear" and vague vibes of not being comfortable with their "stuff" as the person who murdered Missy Beavers. The person's stance also has the same vague suggestion of a disability of some sort as the murderer of Missy Beaver. In this case, bend at the knees seems different.

Yes—I was trying to remember Missy Beavers’ name. Thank you!

could be the all black or the picture quality, but he looks "clean"- no mud spatters, dirt, sweat at the hairline. so either the picture was taken right after he left the car, or he was not hiking, IMO.

At this time I'm leaning towards a male attacker.
Thinking about the arm strength needed to murder and adult young-ish husband and wife who looked fairly fit and would've been fighting for their lives.

Evil brute.
Hoping and fingers crossed, for an apprehension before the coming weekend !
Imo.

I haven't seen much about the distinctive shapes down toward the bottom left side of the suspect. It could be a classic case of seeing something that's not there, however...

I see an adult walking with a child.. To me it looks like the skin reflects off sunlight, then stops at the shoulder. I also see a head shape and a smaller child walking next to the person. Is this a lookout point for the suspect? I don't see these types of tones from the foliage anywhere else.

Obviously it doesn't help the manhunt really, but I do wonder how long the suspect was standing there.

This seems to me like a thrill kill. His outfit reminds me of a getup to look more intimidating. Reminds me of Columbine how they wore this dark and foreboding clothing. Long black pants, gloves, etc. He wanted to play out this character.
...Although I don't understand why it was a one off kill instead of a massacre. Perhaps the killer wanted to infamy of being wanted and chased. Whereas a massacre would have ended within a couple of hours.

Regardless it should be only a matter of days before he is apprehended.

The police will know how far from the site of the murders he was, when spotted earlier...Did he hang around one area?

From various reports 911
-A family member stated on a 40/29 news report, that the couple were attacked with knives

- The photo of the back of the suspect was reportedly taken by a witness ,
- The two girls turned up at a visitor center, and based on this 911 account a person at the visitor center reported that kids said that the parents were assaulted, one possibly stabbed.
Per the very confusing 911 call (interspersed with several other calls), Another female witness who was with the children (most likely a bystander who just happened to be passing along, ) brought the children to the visitors center, and asked another person to go and help the victims.

agree. This was per a family member a knife attack. To me, This has eerie similarities to Bryan Kohberger / Idaho murderer attack.

usually if you are avoiding ticks, you wear light clothing, not black
My thought too, and especially in heat why would you wear all black

MOO

I honestly don't think this was some sort of hit. This was a very ill man who went after a happy family. IMO
At first I thought Clinton and Cristen were specifically targeted by someone for personal reasons. But I’ve pivoted to a scenario involving a previous random encounter that meant nothing to them, but everything to him.

Who knows what set him off. But I don’t think it was random in the sense of “being in the wrong place at the right time” and the killer seized on an opportunity to kill. I think there was planning involved.

Time will tell …

That case still haunts me!

Imo as a gym rat, this person doesn't look like another gym rat. No traps, not a strong v-taper even accounting for whatever the bulk around the hips is. MOO but this person has a very average physique, maybe kind of doughy, maybe skinny-fat depending on how many layers of clothes are on board.

The killer’s appearance reminds me of the murderer of Missy Beavers, but the brutality and senselessness of the murders at Devil’s Den State Park reminds me of the murder of three women who were innocently walking and birding in the woods near their lodge at Starved Rock State Park in 1960. The present murders seem just as random, and the killer just as disturbed.

IMO
