If police and eye witnesses say it's a man I don't understand why we're speculating that it's a woman based on 2" of visible skin in a blurry, zoomed in photo.
Devils den state park is located within the Ozark National Forest. I am not LE maybe that's why FBI?And could be why FBI stepped in

I agree completely, and hope for some transparency soon...I think a lot is possible, and Stranger Things have surely happened, but not a lot is likely.
Someone suggested a trans male
Others have said a middle aged woman dressed up like a man
Now it seems some think it could be a different person from the sketch
The simple answer is- the people that saw this person in the flesh and thought it was a man are right
The sketch was provided by the group of four, and given to LE
LE provided the public with both the sketch and the photo
I have no idea where the photo came from- not sure anyone has posted that info. Have they?
Two people were stabbed to death, in front of their children
The killer is at large and today is Day 5
To me, it feels like a cluster, so all of us (maybe just me) feel like we need to figure it out.
I’m concerned for family in the area, especially those with small children.
As I’ve posted, we need a press conference, a demonstration of transparency, so the public can feel like this case is in good hands. It feels like the best moment to catch this killer has passed.
IMO
If we're alleging the suspect is wearing a rubber mask why can't you see the mask in the photo?
It was only a thought...jeez..If police and eye witnesses say it's a man I don't understand why we're speculating that it's a woman based on 2" of visible skin in a blurry, zoomed in photo.
Hey, some people don't like my "abductor on the prowl" theory. It happens. It was only a thought...jeez..
From my link above with the official LE release of the sketch, AK police also state "(ASP) released a composite sketch of a man...Investigators have asked the public for help identifying the man"...
The police statements are very clear. I don't think social media speculation should contradict the police and claim the suspect is a woman.

Ah could be, I’m not familiar with the area but would make sense if it falls within a national forestDevils den state park is located within the Ozark National Forest. I am not LE maybe that's why FBI?
My guess is you will find out why that duffle was empty when you learn more about the actual crimescene. The fact that the suspect was carrying what looks to me to be an empty (or at least mostly empty) duffel bag is interesting to me.
I'm not an avid hiker by any means, but I have gone on quite a few hikes and can't recall ever seeing someone carrying a duffel bag -- someone on a trail with a duffel bag would probably stand out. We know the suspect had a car since he was last seen driving towards the park exit, so it's not as if he did not have somewhere to keep the bag before entering the trail. It seems the suspect at least wanted to conceal his identity considering he took the time to cover his license plate with duct/electrical tape (which IMO he probably did before driving to the park), so why carry a duffel bag on the trail when it will likely attract attention?
The duffel bag does not make sense to me unless he was carrying it for a specific purpose -- perhaps to dispose of something or pick something up in the park?
Exactly, I remember the case you are talking about, it was the same guy who had been raping girls and moving to different colleges without any warning to unsuspecting girls, he was also the one who killed the girl who attended the Metallica concert...interesting case for sure, thank you for your comment, as I was starting to feel some type of way...Hey, some people don't like my "abductor on the prowl" theory. It happens.
I recall one case on WS when there was a group of people who had, imo, an outlandish theory....and they were right! But they also had solid ideas why their idea was right. (Hannah Graham case, if anyone is interested. WSers thought the perp was the same perp in another case and they were right.)

Looks like its his first time fishing then. He looks out of place in that picture. Like he had no business being there. Like it was his first time for whatever he was doing in the woods. I would suspect. He looks like someone fishing off a ledge. Maybe carried his fishing rod in the bag with tackle/gear..
That bag is way too small to be a hockey bag. It is just a standard duffel bag. My son has played hockey for 13 years.I know you don't have to play ice hockey to carry a hockey bag, but it doesn't seem like something most people would own without a reason.
Very good point. On the other hand, female-to-male transitioning persons have stubble, deep voices. I've known them.
To further this. If the illicit drop was the intent for the suspect being at the park. Then the suspect would seem to have predetermined he would kill whom ever saw or interrupted them based off what has happened. Why not use a gun for an Illicit drop? Bringing a knife to an illicit drop to take care of witnesses sounds crazy when you say it out loud. IMOOn the illicit drop. Wouldn't you make an illicit drop somewhere there would not be park rangers? There are so many backcountry trail access points where parks rangers would not always be in Arkansas. Why pick a location where there would most likely be park rangers for an illicit drop?
The Ozark Highlands Trail is in the same general location essentially. Dockery's Gap access point is only a short distance further east than Devil's Den is west from I-49. Why go to a heavily frequented park for and hike in for an illicit drop? I would think a quick hike in at Dockery's Gap or any other of the other OHT trail access points would be better suited for an illicit drop in NWA and less likely to be interrupted by anyone.

Or taking a leak off the side of a cliff… let’s see a female dressed up as a man do that.He looks like someone fishing off a ledge. Maybe carried his fishing rod in the bag with tackle/gear..
