Agreed, and I hope it leads to an arrest soon. The 2 little girls will be able to say how the attack started and anything the suspect may have said.

I get the feeling there may not be a quick arrest, I sure hope I’m wrong and some DNA was left.

That's why FBI is involved. It can expedite the DNA tests and gather more intel quickly.

From the timeline video, it doesn't sound like that. Sounds like the perp was well out of the park before officers heard the yelling and then found the victims. I would assume it was from others seeing the bodies or maybe one was still alive and calling for help before passing.

Perhaps she assumed the perp would've fled by the time she went back?

It seems like this is always my initial thought-post but cameras have help many times along with other modern tech.

I think this is an important point and the perp May have run due to screaming.

The descriptions of the perp all have him carrying a large black backpack. I keep wondering what was in that. He attacked with a knife. A knife is small. A backpack makes me he was carrying something else, guns, tactical gear, etc possibly with the expectation of hiding out, but then he fled in the car. Just pondering really. MOO

Maybe he was staying in the park, had a camp out there
Maybe hiding from another crime?

I've been going through all all official news articles I can find and have not found anything about this or the type of weapon that was used. Hopefully there's an update soon so rumor can be separated from fact!

It was conjecture from supposed comments made by a relative. I think I pointed out a few times in this thread that it was just a rumor and nothing valid. Others did too. It never really made much sense.

"Possible stabbing" was mentioned in the (recorded) call to police made from the visitors' center.

Just catching up here. But my first thought/question was if this was targeted or random. First blush feels targeted, no reason other than a feeling. Has it been stated how they were killed?

If he had tape in his car and only used it after the attack, then perhaps premeditation isn't automatically assumed.

Moo...maybe it was just a verbal confrontation when mom n kids took off. And got stabby when she went back? It is said she took children to car, but then says children were at visitors office?
Also I think I read somewhere that the car was seen at a bank robbery earlier...or maybe I dreamt that.....moo

I have seen several posts referring to mom taking kids to the car but have apparently missed the link. Do you have a link you can share where it is indicated that mom and kids ran to the visitors office and mom went back? Thank you so much.
