If we're alleging the suspect is wearing a rubber mask why can't you see the mask in the photo? And why has LE not mentioned a mask? And why has a mask not been found? None of that speculation is rooted in any fact besides some posters thinking that a narrow strip of skin "looks female", whatever that means. Last I checked women and men both have shoulders.

While they both have shoulders, a man's shoulders are wider than his hips and vice versa for a woman...and noone suggested that it is 100% fact about the masks, but maybe you should check out the CIA mask discussion, the mask is made to tuck under your armpit or here is an idea..maybe they wore it as throwing it down would leave DNA..I mean there are so many possibilities here it is close minded to dismiss an idea just because you don't agree with it, being open minded is key in an effective investigator...It doesn't mean anyone alleges anything, but rather discussing different ideas, as that is the entire point of this forum. Just because you don't agree with an idea doesn't make it wrong....it just doesn't!

This is exactly what I mentioned in a previous post. Will post again. What if the father accidentally stumbled upon a drop, was opening it when the killer approached. The killer wanted the drop, could not leave a witness. Makes more sense to me than a child abduction.

I think it’s a man, not only because the police and witnesses have identified the perp as a man, but because violent crimes are most often perpetrated by men.

I believe this was random, and the killer went there intent on killing someone that day. It's not the first time that something like that has happened, and it makes the most sense to me based on how this went down.

Much easier ways to abduct a kid, and much better places to commit a targeted attack.

I think he had to kill the parents because they would not let him take one of their kids.

When you hear the dispatcher, you can feel the fear she must have heard in the little girl’s voices. She handled the call and talked to them.
It is clear the mom told them to run as fast and far as they could. And so they did. One of them said the little girls ran about a mile.

I say the mom because the little girls told the dispatcher they saw the man stab their dad in the chest.

So the mom and dad were protecting her daughters from this man. And the clear motive I see for him to have gone after the girls would be to abduct one.

That would be the most idiotic drug smuggler in the world to make a drop like that in a public place where anyone at anytime can come walking around the corner or down the trail. You also wouldn't want to increase the chances of someone accidentally finding the stash when going off trail for a "nature break". Not to even mention the charge escalators that may be tacked on a State run park.

If someone had told me, you notice eye color? And said that was odd, I would have no idea why they would think that.

Now I do. I was raised in the south- I wave to people when I pass them on rural roads. It is in my nature and upbringing to look people in the face if I pass them on the street and knod to say Hello. I may find it unfriendly if I passed someone and they did not acknowledge me.

It must be a cultural thing, kinda
I would notice your eyes color, expression, and think I have a sense of your mood if you looked at me when we passed and we did not know each other. It must be a southern thing, have been doing that all my life.
This young man- on the YouTuber local to the Devil’s Den murders mentioned that- how weird it was that the suspect did not say Hello like most of the other people did. But- the guy gave them a look up and down stare as he passed.

So does that mean this suspect is not from a southern state, or that he is behaving suspiciously?

According to the guy who called into the YT show he was making everyone in his cohort very uneasy an hour or so prior to the murders as he passed them on the trail because he was descriptively mean mugging them all. To me he may have a mean demeanor/disposition or as some people refer to it as "rbf," that's certainly possible, but what could have been observed/felt by the passers by also is this killer's "side eye" sizing them up and down, his consideration of them as suitable victims one way or another.

I think a lot of things go into this consideration from one sick fu*k to the next. But to me it just seems like a thrill kill. Of course if that criteria to kill was met because of the kids being present then yeah sure it fair to consider this potentially as a child abduction or murder that didn't materialize (thank god if so!) but the empty duffle bag thing is not an indication of that imo.

I am on thrill kill. There is a bit of Brian Kohberger.. see what it's like to kill, in and up close and personal way.
