Ewww

He's got creepy eyes, kinda like BK, but lighter colored

Springdale is less than 10 miles north of Fayetteville, so he would be local to the Devil's Den park area.
Certainly does. And chose a knife as well.

There is absolutely no way he thought he could get away with it ... and then getting a haircut in the same city? Likely some sort of psychosis (yet still somewhat methodical in planning) - or he just wanted to commit a crime and be known for doing it - he clearly wasn't trying to escape - just weird
My hunch is he isn't the brightest to begin with and was obsessed with his fantasy life.

I'm not surprised to find him near home.

Any social media for the perp yet? These days I feel like they're scrubbing it before they announce the name.

Snipped

Looks like Springdale is about 36 miles or so north of the park:

When the news story with video of his car leaving the park was published, it seemed very likely he was local or very familiar with the area. He was leaving the park via a back road, not using the nearby interstate highway.

Hmmm. Wonder how they found him?

Sketches aren't meant to be identical, but composites of what witnesses saw imo

Of all the ones they had of the east area rapist/original night stalker there was really only one that was an absolute banger.

(Some of us locals to where he terrorized prefer using the original term for him as golden state killer sometimes unintentionally erases the massive amount of rape victims)

Assuming they have the right guy I have no problem admitting he looks NOTHING like the photo from behind made me think he would look. Nor does he look particularly like the sketch. He doesn't even look particularly young IMO.

What he does look is downright scary.

I'm guessing he must have left DNA or something for them to charge him so quickly. Unless he confessed.

If he was seriously getting a haircut instead of just shaving his own off...that's wild
I mean, it’s not like there was an accurate image of him out there; no one knew what he really looked like.

It’s not like some fugitive with a wanted poster. No one was going to recognize him and point him out.

He was caught because police already knew who the killer was. Now we wait to find out how.

He is as opposite of the sketch as it's possible to be. And ironically the rumored man M Roth was a dead ringer for the sketch. How ironic and perplexing.
I think the photo is from his DL. He probably has a different haircut, etc. since then.

I would presume anyone who committed murder that brazen would absolutely stay away from public places as a precaution. He was seen by multiple people.

This actually doesn't look that far off. If this man kept his head down, then a witness wouldn't see those nostrils so open like that. The eyes/eyebrows are pretty good, and the shape of his face is very close also. Add a cap and lower his head and his sketch is good for someone seeing him briefly.

If you're going to do something this brazen and crazy, you aren't thinking like that.

Curious if it was DNA. If they thought he had an injury, then I am curious if someone saw him bleeding or if it's just likely with a stabbing that someone gets cut. If his DNA was on file and they had any of his blood, it wouldn't be too long before they'd know who he was.
