Somewhere earlier in the thread when it's pointed out that Chase was concerned for his friend and that's why he alerted to MM to go and check on him, some posters replied that that's what killers usually do, they are the first to voice concern after they murdered the victim.

big difference between DK and CM though. CM was the last person to see Joey, according to him. And he had a meeting with him that day and a they had a dozen phone calls.

No, just consistent, he'd been taking advantage of JM all along so, why stop, the only reason for him to do so would be if he had been the one who killed them. The fact that his MO hadn't changed is indicative of him not being the killer.
