Anyone feeling the need to talk down to Missy1974 about watching the case needs to read these threads all over again, if they had ever read them.
I was not “ talking down” to her. I thought the prosecution had a weak case because so many witnesses couldn’t remember that far back. IMO their case got stronger during cross of defense witnesses.

So alleged killer went all the way 🤬🤬🤬 miles from his house to Fallbrook to kill a family of 4 at their house, then drive all the way 🤬🤬🤬 miles to bury them in his backyard, sounds logical......NOT!

Well, I'm assuming that if they're at their house and someone wants to kill them, that's probably where he'd go. As far as burial, I guess he could have buried them in their backyard. There's always that.

At this rather crucial point in time, I do believe that there are those out there who, perhaps on some subconscious level, relate to the tall gambler in his blue shirt and ersatz cowboy hat. They want him to be found not guilty, even though they privately acknowledge the overwhelming evidence against him, and no one else. Would they be capable of asking themselves why they feel the way they do, and give themselves an honest answer?

People, take off your rose-colored glasses. The only thing Chase Merritt is innocent of is having a conscience. You are looking at a man who has done the devil's work.

As someone who openly posts how I feel about this case, I feel it's somewhat directed at me, or posters like me. I can only speak for myself when I say that no way, no how am I "attracted to Chase" and I find it laughable that the some think the only reason anyone could believe he was not guilty or that the state didn't prove it is has anything to do with something more than the facts that were presented and the manner in which it was prosecuted. I wonder how many that think he is not guilty or it was not proven BARD are not attracted to men at all and STILL feel that way  I think I should be offended that you think my brain is not my powerful than my hormones to be quite frank LOL

If CM is convicted, I believe he would have a different team of attorneys for his appeals? And those attorneys would then throw Maline and McGee to the wolves, so to speak, claiming that they were incompetent in every way imaginable?
oh yeah... McGee and Maline will be like speed bumps and covered in tracks LOL they will throw them under, go over and probably even back up :D :D :D

#McStay - The jury has gone home. They will return Monday to continue their deliberations. They deliberated approximately 4 1/2 hours today.

Yes. They will allege attorney incompetence.

Note that it is almost impossible to win an appeal on that basis.

Well, you certainly are NOT the poster who yesterday said Merritt was looking "handsome in his blue shirt". I think your hormones are perfectly intact.

Amen. Tunnel vision has many forms, some are regarding a crime, some are regarding how others form opinions.

I agree with this. Unfortunately, charisma is incredibly important in trials, and I've thought she seemed defensive and not very confident. Also, she gives off a cold vibe and can't imagine her "connecting" with the jury. Trial attorneys should be very aware of this: They go through jury selection with a fine-tooth comb, hoping the find the right background, persona, etc., yet have a non-charismatic lawyer present closing arguments.

I think one can be a fantastic attorney, but the intangibles are so important in jury trials. A bad "vibe" can seriously affect a jury's decision, just as a juror who is overly emotional, unable to sift through garbage vs. evidence, etc. can cause a bad verdict.
Wait, were we watching the same trial? Lol She exudes confidence and was not cold at all. The jurors kept eye contact with her the entire time and seemed to listen to every single word. They seemed very much connected to her.
