No I rewatched it. Seems he was laughing imo @ the absurdity of it, and Juan's keen sense of sarcast in the moment.

I wanted to smack her today when JM was talking about Travis saying "you are the worst thing that ever happened to me" - Travis' sisters were falling apart and JA was glaring at JM. She's one cold monster.

I think these men were paying for their visits with JA and it wasn't for Bible study, but sex. I have also entertained the thought that she was paid to attend the meetings as a party girl for men they were trying to get to join the company by showing them a good time while they were there.

Most all these pyramids have a huge money investment that has to be paid to join. Where would JA get that. GS seems the type that would do something like that. And according to her parents she had been living a secret life after she left home. Would not let them visit, etc. I know this is way out there but so is this horrible thing that happened to TA. It is unimaginable to me and at this point nothing about JA would surprise me. But, she definitely looks like a party girl to me. jmo

all the DT has is trashing Travis and making Jodi the victim. Juan laid out just how low, manipulative, devoid of evidence and evil that is. I'm sure they are thinking about what he said and then tomorrow Nurmi. Nurmi, who makes even non-sleazy stuff sound sleazy is going to be like the Emperor with no clothes, standing there spinning Jodi's lies to the jury who has already had them exposed. And then, Juan gets to finish...that's gonna be great I bet. That I want to see.

And Juan has made it more difficult for Nurmi, IMO

After Juan laid it out so nicely for the jurors that Jodie won't let Travis be in peace (by continuing to trash his reputation - the only thing he had left)...they have gone home tonight and know that he's right.

For Nurmi to then come back the next day and start trashing Travis...I don't know that the jurors are going to appreciate that.

You know what a contrast: loads of support for the Alexander family, but all I see is Jodi's mom, aunt, & grandma, and no one there for them.

And where is her biggest ally? Why didn't McCartney come to her defense? Someone who would never betray her, who always had her back....he's nowhere to be found during the most critical point in time.

If he laughed at that, I think it's because he made a motion specifically to preclude references to Travis being naked because it goes to a dp aggravating factor that's not at issue. I don't know whether he won or lost on the motion, but I can see him chuckling (not in a haha way) either way. jmo

HLN is trash IMO. Good only if you miss portions of a live streamed trial. LOL

I can't blame anyone for not showing her support even if they do. I'm wondering if her mom would make a statement in court. She's already going to get heat for being JA's mother but if she pleads for mercy for JA I'm afraid it could cause her major aftermath problems. She's really damned if she do & damned if she don't.

I agree too -- Beth Karas is so professional and sticks to the subject at hand -- I heard they are laying her off after this trial; meantime, they hired Holly Hughes who, imho, will never be on the same level as Beth.

I DO NOT like Holly Hughes. She just gets under my skin. Personally, I think Beth will land on her feet. She is by far the best legal analyst/crime report EVER in my opinion. I love her. Someone will grab her. Maybe she'll even get her own show. Wouldn't that be AWESOME!!!
