The bolded part makes no sense to me whatsoever...if Hoover was at the SITE with DC, why would he have to ask Dominic that question? I think I need to break out my hipwaders, it's getting really deep all of a sudden. Speaking of that -- If the locals reported that area was FLOODED (and TES) and didn't drain off and dry up until 2 weeks before the remains were discovered, how the heck would they know if a body was there or not? Either to 'get it' or to substantiate whether it was not there with the video. I can't imagine DC wading off into those snake infested woods to get a closeup. Now is Drunk Cowboy/Caylee is Alive/Psycho Woman affiliated with DC or with Hoover? I would think Hoover since he just 'showed up on the scene' one day and ingratiated himself, and wasn't 'hired'. Oh -- and how conveeeeeenient that his tape got taped over after the sheet hit the fan. I'll bet it shows up again one day...maybe he found a buyer?

The drunk cowboy is affiliated with MN(there's apicture of him w/ MN, TM,and some unknown person on a couch at a press conference I believe about Larry Garrison). Then Joy shows up w/ drunk cowboyat BP and says she's with him and TES. Then, on her chat she says her husband works for DC. So if you can believe Joy(pyscho woman)-her husband is affiliated with DC!
However, I never heard of JH till this! DC says he just showed up on the A doorstep and wanted to help. Kinda like Dennis Milstead showed up with Kidfinders since "day 2" and wanted to help.
I think they are all questionable and so are their motives!! Old saying-Water seeks its own level!!

I'm sorry, I just dont see it as bashing. And after seeing him on tv I really have no doubt he could handle all this debate and opinion, I just don't see him as a thing skinned type of guy. JMO

Of course it's not bashing, and it's not on every thread. This thread happens to be about something that LP has very much involved himself in. It makes no sense to me that we can't discuss it from all viewpoints. Why is he off limits when no one else is?

Interesting. Dominic C's story is quite a bit different than LP's story about the video:

Casey added that he was taking photos to document information found in discovery documents that stated it was a teen hang out. He said he was looking for items such as beer bottles, makeshift chairs and similar items.

While he was there, Casey said that James Hoover snuck up on him.

"As I turned around, Hoover was standing there with a video camera,” Casey said. “I said, 'What are you doing here?' He said, ‘I thought you might want help.' I said, ‘James, that's completely inappropriate’."
Casey took photos of the area and said he's turned over his photos to the Anthony's attorney, to give to prosecutors.

According to Casey, James Hoover now claims his video no longer exists, that he taped over it."

Nothing about finding remains or even looking for remains. Nothing about going to get the body. Nothing about wanting to sell the video. Actually, without LP's embellishments, the story makes perfect sense.

Also interesting to me is that the bolded red section above is totally absent from the video, but it appears as you've quoted in the printed story.

As far as LP, we know a video was taken, DC admits that JH was filming. Now the only question for me is why? I have to question why DC would be taking photos based on discovery docs if he wasn't no longer working for Baez. Kinda sounds like an reason pulled out of the hat because it sounds good. But in reality, there would be no reason for a PI to be doing defense work if he was no longer working for the defense.

And I still want to hear from JH.

ITA! I do not find DC's version any more credible. Supposedly the PI was busy searching for Caylee Alive and they were close, more and more sightings.

How on earth did DC have the time to go photograph a location where teens hangout to validate it when -- he was supposedly working for the A's?

This is not a reasonable story at all and how did JH know to follow and be there filming? And why was it completely in-appropriate for JH to film when DC was taking photos and it was only a site where teens hang, not a burial site.

To me, the truth is somewhere in-between two versions, neither credible.

I am not saying LP is an authority on the case or that at times he does not deserve some critisism, but there was more to the show than just LP and why make him more of a player than he already is. There is intelligent discussion besides LP, just some choose to fixate on him.

Obviously you're saying that I personally fixate on LP however I think if you were to look at my posting history you'd find that you are mistaken. I discuss all aspects of this case and am not fixated on any one player or any one poster, for that matter. :waitasec:

No, you are right, it is not the first time and I don't think there is any "figuring" him out. I take what he says with a grain of salt. I think LE is the only "authority" on this case and don't believe anything anyone says unless it is LE. It just seems some people on here are here to discuss every time LP farts!

Oh my husband can attest to that, espeacially today lol. Wouldnt that be interesting to know what would have happened had they found anything, it would be interesting to know what would have happened had she been found first time MM reported his tip...we will never know. :waitasec:

I am neutral but, after all LP is a controversial guy -- you are either entertained by him or aggravated by him -- as the TH defense attorney clearly was on CNN HLN today. His feathers were badly ruffled.

LP ruffles feathers -- thats his modus operandi. Its all good. Neither opinion of him, good or bad should feel threatened. You like him, you hate him. Just ignore it and move on.

LP is a rebel but he stirs things up and creates controversy and, at the end of the day -- it is all good. He is a showman -- he spins it his way.

Grain of salt, grain of salt .... in what he says or that he touches nerves. Let them vent on either side.

That's true, but experience has shown me that if you have two stories, one that makes perfect sense and one that makes absolutely no sense at all, and the one that makes on sense at all is told by someone who is a known liar who also has an agenda to stay in the media spotlight, go with the logical story every time.

So you're saying him working with FBI Savage and his statements/info to him were falsified? I don't think so Chilly. These people are all linked and the day Joy W walked up to John Allen at the dump site to file her bogus report - it started.

I think the story has validity since LE has already stated they are aware the video exists and since Baez has already filed a motion to prevent DC from saying too much. I don't see where LP is speaking out of his @ss here at all. Sounds to me like the story is indeed true.
