Day care owner accused of hiding 26 children behind fake wall found guilty on more than two dozen abuse charges

A Colorado woman accused of stashing 26 children behind a phony wall when her day care was hit with a surprise inspection has been found guilty on a slew of child-abuse charges.

Carla Faith was convicted of 26 counts of misdemeanor child abuse, a felony count of attempting to influence a public servant and a misdemeanor count of running a child care facility without a license, The Gazette reported. Another employee was also hit with more than two dozen abuse charges.

Woman sentenced to 6 years in prison after keeping daycare kids behind a ‘false wall’ in Colorado Springs

Carla Faith was sentenced to six years in prison for attempting to influence a public servant. She was also sentenced to 10 months for each of the 26 counts of child abuse, however that sentence will run concurrent with attempting to influence a public servant count.
