GUILTY CO - Angela Craig, 43, mother of 6, allegedly poisoned by cyanide in protein shake by dentist husband, Aurora, Mar 2023 @2

I have to wonder if Lauren was only speculating here about JC holding a high position in the LDS church and not with knowledge because she ends the YT opining in agreement with Josh that religion played no part in JC's actions, and that he was motivated by greed, and not wanting to divide his assets in a divorce. Also narcissistic, he believed he'd be more attractive as a sympathetic widow. That doesn't sound like the mindset of a high church leader. JMO
An organization named Floodlit.org tracks child sexual abuse across the Mormon church.

Will today be the day for a verdict?

No verdict yet in the #JamesCraig trial, the former #Aurora dentist who prosecutors say “spent 10 days” killing his wife, Angela, in 2023.Here’s our full recap of closing arguments from today. I’ll be back tomorrow morning.
It better be! :) obviously my two hour prediction was way off but I forgot to calculate in the time spent on the other counts he’s facing. I hope any disagreements and discussions have been focused on whether or not the State proved the murder/solicitation conspiracy charge. (TBH I’m not even sure they proved that one BARD—although, to be fair, I’m not at all familiar with the specific elements of that crime in the State of Colorado—but I hope this is the reason the jury hasn’t come back with a verdict yet).

Also, it’s possible that a juror or the foreperson insisted they read through all of the texts, and Angela’s journal, etc. before voting. They might be there for a while if so.

"Elders Quorum President"

Lauren does a deep-dive into the couple's family/ life and their financial problems and debt are over the top.
Complete opposite except for the IRS debt (350.00) that Lauren says in her video from last night with Josh Ritter.
Confusing indeed,

Because of the spotty reporting on this case, it is hard to be precise, but I was keeping track of the times and believe that the jury received the case around noon Colorado time and was dismissed at 5:00 pm. So that would be about five hours unless you take an hour off for lunch. I hope this is one of those cases where the jurors agreed on the essentials by late afternoon, and decided to come back in the morning to review the paperwork before informing the judge.

Well, it seems like the argument for the Defense is deliberately obtuse. No surprise. But it could confuse jurors.

"The defense then argued that no one can tell jurors when or how the cyanide or tetrahydrozoline was ingested by Angela Craig, adding: "You don't get to guess in this. You don't get to speculate," and argued that prosecutors "have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt how and when" those toxins were were ingested.".

MOO, is that all of the dots connect that JC killed Angela. But is it 100%? Maybe not. There is no video of him killing his wife. But all of the evidence seems credible to me that he did kill his wife, and fabricated a story that she was suicidal.

It seems far-fetched that a spouse would assist in his wife's suicide. She did not have any sort of illness, aside from being poisoned.

Clever psychopath. Even gaslighting jurors to doubt there own sense of "reasonable doubt".

My notes indicate the jury was given the case around 1:00 pm and were excused at 5:00 pm. I assume they were given a break for lunch, but it also may have been provided for them. So, 3 to 4 hours depending on the lunch situation (in my estimation).

I agree that the coverage of this case has been less than ideal!

Hypothetically if AC wanted to end her life why in hell would she choose poison to do so?
There are other ways that are not drawn out torture like she went through using the poison.
Oh, right.
AC loved the game of "chicken" s/
imo

And WHY would she go to three different medical facilities to figure out what was wrong? What were the medical searches on Google about? The texts of frustration about the doctors failing to provide answers?

Does not compute.

He's been charged with the following:

  1. First-degree murder
  2. Solicitation to commit tampering with physical evidence
  3. Solicitation to commit tampering with physical evidence
  4. Solicitation to commit first-degree perjury
  5. Solicitation to commit first-degree murder
  6. Solicitation to commit first-degree perjury
The solicitation to commit murder charge stems from allegations that he sought a fellow jail inmate to kill an investigator in his case, investigators said.

If convicted, James Craig faces a sentence of up to life in prison without the possibility of parole, as Colorado doesn't have the death penalty.

According to CBS your guesstimate is correct

[…]

Closing arguments in the case spanned Monday into Tuesday morning, and the jury began deliberating just before 1 p.m. The court recessed at 5 p.m. on Tuesday and will resume deliberations on Wednesday morning.

Are they going to at least show the verdict live?

I'm very disappointed that the media has chosen not to broadcast the limited sessions that the court approved for live streaming.

Shout out to Scott Reisch @ Crime Talk for obtaining the openings. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he'll put up the closings too at some point.

Good grief I can’t believe they aren’t back yet!

I am really stuck on the fact that the jury is supposed to know beyond a reasonable doubt when the poison was administered and how.

And the information from other convicts, I don't know.

If he is found "Not Guilty", I am seriously going to take a break from true crime for quite awhile.

  • #218
Hopefully they see passed that. That’s like asking how the knife entered and exact time. He will be found guilty, I’m going to trust the jury to do the right thing and seriously give up on the justice system if they don’t !

I have faith this jury will get it right.
