CO CO - Baby Boy Rindahl, Infant, Wheat Ridge, Nov 25, 1970

It was all a rise. The OB would not allow anyone to see Abe's "body" as he had "multiple birth defects". The newborn nursery records says Abnormalities: None Noted. At least the delivery room nurse told the truth. This guy would go on to ruin lives, endanger mother's and babies, and end up quite wealthy, even having his own clinic. In the end, I guess shoddy practices, greed and arrogance will be the thing that demolished his life. He left Colorado a few years ago and is living in Arizona. Googling his current address reveals he lives in a virtual COMPOUND behind high walls out in a desert like area. My experience was the best of times and the worst of times. When I am asked "why do you search for missing people you don't even know?" I say, because I know what it like to have a missing child. I search for others out of honor for Abraham...I was the only person who cared. Be well, all ...

Please rest assured, @AbrahmsMother , that out here in CyberSpace we do care about you & your son & the tragedy you've bravely shared with us!

Sometimes, that's our SuperPower.

We'd fix it if we could -- turn back time, place that tiny blue bundle in your arms.

We can't do that.

I will presume to speak for us all and say you are not over-reacting, you were tricked, there was a plan in place to send your little one home with another family.

I hope that family understands the gift received.

Best, Laughing

First of all, I send you my love and condolences for all the pain you're suffering. In Spain, there were many stories like yourse between 1950s and 1980s, especially in clinics run by nuns.
I wonder if you have tried to send your DNA to a website like Ancestry. It could be a way to find a link. It's an option.

I haven’t forgotten this thread, it is on my watched list.

But sometimes personal situations keep me away.

@AbrahmsMother, it is my prayer that answers can be found for your situation. To know you were tricked by a doctor and your baby lost because of that must be excruciatingly painful.

In Dani Shapiro’s book Inheritance, in which she writes about finding out the man who raised her was not her biological father, and the journey that followed.

One person she mentioned that I thought might be helpful to the quest to find your baby is Wendy Kramer of the Donor Sibling Registry. The organization is set up for children of sperm donors to find each other, which is not your situation, but I’m betting she and others within that organization are knowledgeable about other areas of DNA searches. They might be able to direct you to a place more in line with what you need to do to try and find your birth child.

Also, historical research on the doctor, his clinics, the hospital, etc., might yield avenues to follow. There might be nurses or administrators who would now be willing to talk.

Maybe, too, the local newspapers of the time might give you names of people who had birth announcements around the time of your delivery, and you could do some searching of social media accounts to see what their children look like.

Just a few ideas, which you may or may not have already tried. Someone, somewhere, knows what happened to your baby.

Check baptismal records, too, in the weeks following Abrahm's birth.

Moving "baby boy's" case back up to the top. He remains listed in NamUs as missing...
