Oh he 100% was living in Cave Creek, at least until very recently.

I had screenshots to the County Assessor showing that.

And he's been seen here regularly and was/is a frequent topic of conversation. At least one WSer has even seen him several times.

Hus alias (Lee) was widely known here. He used it a lot at Harold's and Roadhouse etc.

These are my pics showing the area where his trailor was (behind a Circle K) across the street and next door to biker bars he had been frequenting.
Compare that ^^^ abode to that beautiful spacious mountain home he was in before he murdered his poor wife. Well done Barry.

He just keeps telling on himself.

The BAM, the state of her remains.

He hunted her, he tranquilized her, he murdered her and then he preserved her bones like he'd done a thousand times.

Soulless.

Well, finally, precious Suzanne has told on him.

BAM in her bones (with time to begin to metabolize, fingernail gouges in his arms (her death was up close) and no hair.

Barry Morphew is worse than the worst chemo.

I'm so sorry, Suzanne. You survived everything... but him.

Is this the proof that Barry owns the RV? What about the trailer park itself?

Snipped from article:

Barry, who owned a scruffy trailer park in Cave Creek, will now be extradited to the San Luis Valley in Colorado to face charges.

His 'Stardust Trailer Park' billed itself a 'boutique community' offering short and long-term rentals, but had a dilapidated and depressing air when visited by DailyMail.com in 2024.

His daughters have yet to comment on the charges brought against their father.

I do love how the DM describes Barry's trailer park bidness:

"Scruffy....dilapidated....depressing."

Sounds exactly right.

It should have been called Shady Acres.

The owner of the Stardust Trailer Park in Cave Creek, AZ is a man with initials G.F.

IMO, BM doesn’t own the small RV park, he rents a trailer space there and was living in his old, rusty, dilapidated RV.

This shows that he owned his trailer, correct? It lists his VIN number. Same number since 2020.

The earlier article seemed to say he owned the entire trailer park. Which seems to be incorrect.
No, unless it changed recently, he only owned the single trailer.

It really is a funky little trailer park. I felt too conspicuous to take pics in it so all I personally took are the ones from the Circle K it is behind.

He really was in very close walking distance to all his favorite haunts where he was trying to meet women.

I honestly wonder now when he moved her.

Lime bleaches bone if I'm not mistaken.

I wonder if she hadn't been hidden -- but already moved from -- places where LE searched extensively, but in sad vain.

The beach property comes to mind.

The location buried under ice cap.

LE didn't invent those places. Barry's digital trail must have shown him to be at various locations for extended periods, leading to searches there, from which he'd already moved her.

She would have been found if he hadn't moved her.

Thought redressing her, if found, would lock down the abduction while biking fable -- bleach must have addled his brain.

JMO
I do think that the buried under an ice cap was Linda Stanley, being Linda Stanley.

At least as interesting as where the earlier storage/disposal location was, is:

Why move the remains? They had stayed hidden for better than 4 years. Why risk the exposures of the simple process of relocating them?

One has to consider that LE was lucky to find them in the known location.....MOO
Good question. We don’t know why or when he moved the remains to 2nd location Moffat, but I postulate he may have been spooked into moving them after the 11th JD stated in their April 2022 motion for dismissal that they believed they were close to finding SM’s remains but needed to wait until the snow melted off to conduct search in the area as they and LE believed the remains were located in a difficult area to get to/to be able to access. There were also some non-LE YouTuber peeps doing boots on the ground searches for SM’s remains around the area as well at the time and I believe BM knew about at least 1 or 2 of them as they’d spoken with him.

So given all of that, I tend to think he got spooked/scared LE or some of the independent searchers might find her in the first location which I’m just assuming was closer to their home or at least in the Salida/Maysville area based off where LE were searching and what the 11th JD said in their motion to dismiss, and he decided to move the remains further south to Moffat because in his mind probably thought no one would think to search for her down there. But alas, imo divine intervention stepped in and LE ended up stumbling upon SM’s remains when they were in Moffat working on another case and searching for a different missing woman. Sorry not sorry BM. And he apparently must have moved her remains to Moffat sometime while not under LE surveillance because well you know, they’d have obviously picked him up aka arrested him right then and there, so all I can figure is perhaps they scaled back surveillance on him after the 1st case was dismissed, didn’t have the manpower or resources to surveil him 24/7 after that? I suppose they had other cases they had to work on not just this one. Anywho, BM managed to get the remains to Moffat undetected and I would gather he likely did so under the cover of darkness when most people were sleeping overnight/wee a.m. hours I reckon is when he likely moved her.

Unless it's changed very recently, he definitely did not own the whole park.

I also never heard that he was claiming that.

One of his his buddies he was seen with a lot owned two of the hot places (biker bars) in town though.

It's been a very open secret (so to speak) that he's been here, and there's been zero rumbling (and the bartenders at his favorite joint were openly chatty about) about him owing the whole park.

I really think that started from someone not reading the assessors site right.

But the thing is, Suzanne didn't decompose naturally IMO. He treated her start to finish like property, prey and a prized mount, he no longer prized (because she'd had enough and prized herself, not him).

He sped up the decomposition process with chemicals, clearly.

Maybe the ME's report with spell it out but IMO, he could have destroyed her tissue overnight, moved her in the first days.

Out in Moffat, nothing left for wildlife to forage, except chemically treated bones.

That man did more than abuse a corpse. I'd say he desecrated it... but he didn't. He desecrated himself.

And you can never wash that off.

It's hard to imagine he wasn't being tracked at that point.

Maybe his confidence was in knowing he'd already moved her.

He accelerated decomp exponentially IMO. I wonder if the ME/anthropologist could make a determination for how long the bones had been in the Moffat location

I thought the tranquilizer was the bottom of his depravity but he continued his descent.

Explains a thousand showers, washing chemicals off his skin.

He didn't dismember her. He did what he knows how to do. Done it a thousand times.

I was really annoyed that this worthless killer was walking around free for the past 5 years.

But seeing pictures of his crumbling down trailer in that decrepit park in the desert behind the Circle K makes me feel a little better about the situation. I think he was trapped there and he felt the constant pressure---tick tock tick tock---he had to know it was coming at some point.

WOW! What great news to wake up to! And WHEW! made it thru 27 pages....
A couple of questions though....

Magic8Ball from article said:
The District Attorney’s office will be assisted by the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office in this prosecution. The Denver County District Attorney’s Office will provide appellate support. Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty will work the case. “He has consistently provided essential support and leadership to rural prosecutors with limited resources to pursue major cases and obtain justice for victims throughout the state,” the release said.

I thought it was going to happen in Alamosa County with DA Anne Kelly prosecuting? At least that is what it has on the indictment. So is the trial going to be in Boulder or Alamosa county??

Now according to this quote:
TwinkieDefense from article said:
To follow this case from this point forward, we would encourage you to follow the State Judicial Case of Interest page where hearings and public documents, including the indictment, can be found soon: Cases of Interest | Colorado Judicial Branch

His documents are under Alamosa County... So the Boulder DA is assisting - if I have that correct.

MassGuy from article said:
Morphew will appear in court in Arizona and be given the option of waiving the extradition to Colorado or contesting it, he said.
"Under the circumstances, he's expected to waive," Beller said. "We will then be at the mercy of the Colorado officials to transport him back to Colorado — presumably some time next /quote]

Wish they would put a date of his appearance in AZ.... I see now he had his initial appearance in AZ & not fighting extradition. Thanks for that info @Warwick7

and THANK YOU @crhedBngr for the time of press conference where I live! I was sleeping at that time - and now trying to catch up with al these 26 pages...

"Under the circumstances, he's expected to waive," Beller said. "We will then be at the mercy of the Colorado officials to transport him back to Colorado — presumably some time next week."

Had this saved in my quotes - but got the answer...

I hope they'll be able to conduct more analysis of his phone to show when it was conspicuously turned off overnight since they last monitored him.

Great news!! The indictment is laser focused, imo.

Is he in the same county atm as Lori Daybell?

You could be right! I just think he was likely being more closely surveilled/tracked in the beginning days like 24/7 whereas after 2 years when case dismissed not saying they weren’t still tracking him, I’m sure they were to some degree, just not sure if as much time was being devoted to tracking/surveilling him at that point.

Either way though, whether he moved her in the early days, or whether he moved her at a later date, he managed to evade LE in either case which does make me scratch my head especially if he moved her in the early days when imo they’d be watching him like a hawk as it was obvious they suspected him from moment one. Hmmm.

6/11/23 Update: Fremont County: Attorneys for Morphew are trying to change his dismissal ruling from without prejudice to with prejudice. In a motion filed on April 18, 2023 elected DA Linda Stanley states that Morphew's Attorney Iris Eytan is asking for a judge to set a date when this dismissal ruling can be changed. Stanley argues in the motion that, "Crim. P. Rule 55.1(7) in no way states a court can change a dismissal without prejudice to a dismissal with prejudice at a date certain," Stanley's motion reads. To be discussed: Proposed Order re: Motion to Stay & Objection filed by defense on 4/14/83. Motions hearing on 6/26/23.
6/26/23 Update: The hearing was called after Morphew's attorneys requested to keep records in the case sealed indefinitely. Prosecutors in March 2022, before the case was dismissed, filed a motion to admit statements Suzanne Morphew allegedly made to her best friend about the couple's failing marriage. Earlier, defense attorney Iris Eytan accused prosecutors of operating on a hunch in going after Barry Morphew for first-degree murder. Park County District Judge Amanda Hunter ordered the records to be unsealed. But, as of Monday afternoon, they had not been made public. Mark Hurlbert appeared for the state. Eytan for Morphew (who was also there on a phone but never said anything). The hearing was about Eytan's motion to strike a 2022 pleading by the state to admit some statements by Suzanne under a hearsay exception. The statements were attached in sealed exhibits so they are already not publicly available, though Hurlbert did say some of the statements there were made public at the preliminary hearing. Eytan says have to strike basically because it's mean to Barry that they exist. Eytan lost. The judge is not striking because important to maintain criminal court records for public review. In one of the boldest statements made in open court regarding the struggling case, Hurlbert insisted that investigators know exactly where her body is located. “She is in a very difficult spot. We actually have more than just a feeling … and the sheriff’s office is continuing to look for Mrs. Morphew’s body,” he said. One of the motions Eytan wanted kept from a potential jury’s eyes was a request by prosecutors to allow Suzanne Morphew’s words about her failing marriage to be admitted at trial. During Monday’s hearing, Eytan argued that revealing Suzanne’s frame of mind about her marriage would be bad for Morphew as he attempts to make a living & restart his life after three years of being the only suspect in her disappearance. District Court Judge Amanda Hunter denied Morphew’s request to reconsider a previous ruling relating to public access to the information contained within the case alleging that Morphew killed his wife. Hunter’s ruling affirms her April 13 orders denying six motions (five by the defense & one by the prosecution) to limit public access. In her order, she stated that in a criminal case, court records are “presumed to be accessible to the public” and to deny the public access to a court record or any part of a court record, the Court must follow certain procedures unless the record is inaccessible to the public pursuant to other statute, rule, regulation or Chief Justice Directive.

9/26/23 Update: Law enforcement officials last week discovered the remains of Suzanne Morphew, the 49-year-old Chaffee County woman missing since 2020. Colorado Bureau of Investigation agents located human remains in the area of Moffat in Saguache County on Friday, 9/22/23 during an unrelated investigation. Moffat is a town of approximately 100 people located 45 miles south of Maysville, where Morphew lived and was last seen before she was reported missing by a neighbor on Mother’s Day in 2020. The El Paso County Coroner’s Office identified the remains as Suzanne Morphew on Wednesday, 9/27/23 from dental records & her cancer port. CBI officials declined to release specific information about the location or state of the remains. Twelfth Judicial District Attorney Anne Kelly was notified because the remains were found in the district, according to the agency. Megan Bagwell, the director of administration for the 12th Judicial District, wrote in an email that it has not been determined whether that district or the 11th Judicial District, which initially prosecuted Barry Morphew, will take up the case. Bagwell declined to comment on the case further. The 11th Judicial District also declined to comment.
9/29/23 Update: Authorities from Colorado State Patrol (CSP) & the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), along with the Chaffee County & Saguache County sheriff’s offices, conducted an hours-long search Friday in a remote area of Saguache County near Moffat that was connected to the investigation into Suzanne Morphew’s death. The search was done “in the area where Morphew’s remains were found,” according to a brief release from the CBI. The search began around 7:30am & continued into the late afternoon.
10/11/23 Update: Morphew case in re-assesment: CBI sets up tipline for help from public 3 weeks after remains are found.
4/24/24 Update: The El Paso County Coroner's office completed the autopsy & FBI (Quantico) did the forensic testing. Some of that testing was done at the FBI training & research center in Quantico, Virginia. The autopsy report was not immediately available to the public. According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the report from the Chaffee County Medical Examiner is expected to be released next week [April 29th].
4/29/24 Update: Suzanne's autopsy report is now complete & determined her death to be "homicide by undetermine means in the setting of butorphanol, azaperone & medetormidine intoxication". The chemicals were found in her bone marrow. The chemicals are used to sedate large animals such as horses or deer.
