Barry Morphew initial hearing held at 11:00 pm 6/20/25 that was shown live on YouTube in Maricopa County. He chose to be extradited to Colorado. Fast Forward to 37:17

Wasn't Suzanne's maiden name Moorman? Barry calls him self Lee Moore, that's as if he took her name to use, which to me is exactly the kind of disrespectful thing he would do. JMO

Phil Weiser did not appoint AK and did his best to harm her once she was elected DA a few months later! Weiser tried to assign Kelly a full-time "coach" at her expense--past the four-month term remaining by her predecessor. (I feared AK would end up with a mole in her office feeding info to Weiser's good friend IE)! I posted the hearings held on this in previous threads. It was LE, businesses, and the citizens who spoke up for Kelly-- essentially telling the AG, "It's not going to happen on our watch!"

IMO, AK has been a gift to Southern Colo-- her office has accomplished much already.

@Seattle1 Thanks for the clarification. Watching her speak it seems to me if she can win this case it will be a springboard for her and open doors to other opportunities.
She presents as a woman who wants a future in politics.
So she has her credibility and future ridding on this arrest/and ultimate conviction.
One of her predessors biggest faults was her inability to build relationships and work in concert with others. While the former DA was certainly capable of self sabotage she had a lot of external sabotage coming her way too
Ann seems to understand and be savy with the political rules of engagement in Colorado
Which will work in our favor to get Barry Lee convicted.

Prepare yourself. Unless Barry rocks the earth's foundation and pleads guilty, the mountains are about to be sandblasting with motions from the Defense, for delays, hearings, sanctions, the same noise IE tried to Jericho. No walls are falling down this time, unless they're the ones IE said he ran through.

I hope it'll be a short wait until trial but a year or two is often the norm.

Well, this explains why there was virtually no tissue left and her disarticulated hair was missing.

I'm going to have nightmares. All I can see is that truck, trailer and bobcat of his crammed full of bleached antler racks... pristine, not a luck of flesh, sun-kissed white... and Suzanne, reduced to bone.

Didn't BM also have half a dozen seedlings/trees in large planters he was carting around on a flatbed? I often wondered if he buried her in a planter and placed a tree back on top of her. He'd have SM's petite body dissolved pretty quickly with lime & fertilizer too.

I'd expect that he'd need an email address and a credit card to rent a storage unit, but he could certainly use a fake name for the contract (Lee Moore?), a prepaid gift-type credit card for the monthly automatic payments, and a new email address. And to avoid LE detecting those, he'd have to have NEVER used either in association with his regular email address or phone or credit card.

If LE were able to find some footage of BM visiting such a storage unit facility, maybe he'd have worn that wig SD was sporting in the lobby when the two stayed at the Antlers Hotel on Valentines Day (was it 2021...).

This is speculation about a storage facility. Nothing has been reported about such.

@Diddian Thanks for the chuckle first thing today /that picture has stuck with me of Sho in the suzanne wig. In the lobby while Barry carried the long stem roses - and it all happened at the Antler Hotel which - hey why not. Barry was a big antler guy. Just so on point for Barry.

Remember when he packed up for the move to Colorado Jedd Clampert style / he had a trailer with his front loader and then miscellaneous crap jammed in with no rhyme or reason - just helter skelter. Lots of antlers. That picture has stayed in my mind too.

The other one was his gun safe in the puma garage. Open that up and it was just a jumble of guns thrown in on top of one another.

He was a disorganized thinker. That’s why he needed suzanne to be the backend / billing dept of his biz back in the day.

One more thought on the mug shot.
His eyes said it all. Such role reversal for him. His life was spent from a young age being the predator/ in control only to find himself hunted down by LE as the prey. Captured.
And the realization that this time it’s gonna stick.

I thought it was going to happen in Alamosa County with DA Anne Kelly prosecuting? At least that is what it has on the indictment. So is the trial going to be in Boulder or Alamosa county??

Can you believe this great news?!!

BM waived extradition late last night so this means Colorado has 30 days to collect him in AZ and transport him to Alamosa.

We are in for a bit of a learning curve because BM was Indicted by a GJ which means he's not entitled to a Preliminary Hearing. GJ Indictments are rare in Colorado -- most defendants are arrested/charged by Information & Complaint.

BM will probably be arraigned shortly after he arrives in Colorado, and this will probably start the 21-day discovery clock for the State to begin delivering the goods they have on BM to his defense attorney.

I don’t see it imo. Once a narcissist always a narcissist. I think he’s going to play victim throughout the trial and rest of his life. I feel sorry for his daughters. How heartbreaking no matter how you look at it.

I still wonder what exactly the 'new evidence' is, given that the BAM was already, according to the autopsy a year ago, the 'likely or possible' (my interpretation) cause of death. Surely the fact that it was part metabolised was also discovered at the time. So what has taken a further year until his re-arrest? I know I must have missed something pertinent... could someone please tell me what?

Recovering SM's body and the BAM in her body is new evidence. The charges were already dismissed when SM was discovered in Moffat in Sept 2023. This evidence was presented to the grand jury for the first time in 2025. Also, we learned from the Indictment that Moffat was not SM's original burial site-- her body was buried there later. No evidence of decomposition there.

To note: it says her bones were "significantly bleached." To me, that implies that they were in the sun before being buried in their second location (with fresh clothes... Barry is crazy).

He’s such an idiot. Still scheming long after the murder. Thought he could perpetuate the “abducted on a bike ride narrative”. The dummy. Moving her body is what got him caught. Thank goodness for dumbasses. I only wish he had been too stupid to to kill her.
