I was always a fan of this being a single burial, and it being a shallow grave because of the nature of the soil, and the timeframe he had to work with. I never imagined he'd move her body to a shallow grave, because generally, the whole point of moving a body is to ensure it isn't discovered.
So with what we know now, and with what you're saying, it appears this dumbass buried Suzanne in two shallow graves.
I've just got to believe he wanted her discovered, for one reason or another.
I think what we're seeing is that he pivoted.
Remember how, in the Gannon case, the murderer moved his body but she was weeks ahead of LE because thru didn't yet have the vehicle data to see where she HAD been?
I think the same happened here. I think LE's investigation led them to at least one, maybe two places where BM had left SM's remains. But he had already moved her.
I think originally he did not want her found. I do think he used chemicals to decompose her, like we see in blue barrel cases, only BA used what he knew, a cooler. I think he had her in at least two different places. The first night. (I think he was certain his wallibi would hold and he would be cleared without a second look.)
I don't know when he moved her to Moffat but I think that's where he pivoted, maybe thinking that if she were found then, it would somehow support an abduction (which at this point he needed for his $15 million fraud case, always hustling). If that true, he's even dumber than we've given him credit for.
But also, his first hiding places weren't good. I believe LE found them, they were just too late in getting there.
I need to know from the anthropologist how long her bones could have been in Moffat.
To sum, I don't think SM decomposed naturally.
I think he moved her as many as three times.
I think his reasoning behind those locations may have shifted.
I think he was a step ahead of LE, not because he's in any way bright, but because it took them time to gather and analyze and investigate.
If her remains had been at Moffat for a verrrrrrry short time, then he was aware of the other missing person headline (Edna) and thought leaving SM there would support an abduction story, never thinking any chemicals would be detected.
As we know, LE doesn't usually trail suspects. They track them.
Hence, the delays in data to piece together where they've been. Iirc BM got a new truck (borrowed? bought? I can't recall now) when his truck was seized. He had freedom of movement in that one (until IMO LE could get a tracker on it or later analyze data from it).
My biggest two questions: how long was she at Moffat and where had she been from May, 2020 until he moved her remains to Moffat.
If he moved her from somewhere where LE would not have found her to Moffat where she could be found, thinking that would support his story, he's a whole season of America's Dumbest Criminals.
